Marauders Dominate Patriots 35-7 in Convincing Win

The Carlson Marauders delivered a statement performance in the District Final, dominating the Franklin Patriots 35-7 in a game that was never in doubt. From the opening whistle, Carlson established their dominance, scoring 14 unanswered points in the first quarter, and controlling the game on both sides of the ball. With a well-rounded offensive attack and stifling defense, the Marauders proved to be the superior team from start to finish.

Carlson’s offense was firing on all cylinders, with senior quarterback Joe Krolak leading the charge. Krolak was efficient through the air, completing 6 of 9 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown, while also contributing with his legs. The versatile signal-caller rushed for 135 yards on 15 carries, showcasing his dual-threat ability and keeping the Franklin defense on its heels all game long.

Junior Izaiah Wright also had a standout performance, carrying the ball 30 times for 117 yards. Wright was a key piece of the Marauders’ ground game, helping to control the clock and wear down the Patriots’ defense. In the passing game, junior Trent Ison made an impact, hauling in 3 receptions for 40 yards.

Franklin, meanwhile, was limited to just a single touchdown, which came in the second quarter. The Patriots’ offense struggled to generate much momentum, unable to find any rhythm against Carlson’s strong defense.

With the victory, Carlson improves to 10-1 on the season and will host 8-3 Orchard Lake St. Mary’s next week in the Regional.

  1. Gary,
Your Carlson contenders are about to get whooped by a parochial school that went 3-6 last year.
Although according to you, Carlson-they were a team to beat in D2. Not even close. They are not good at all. They underachieved and beat no one to win District with one of the best backs in the state.
They continue to play no one and will have a running clock out on them by a parochial that went 3-6 last year.
    OLSM 42- Carlson 6
    get real

    1. Looking at those losses they do have, OLSM is probably one of the best teams in the state regardless of division. They must have gone shopping for players in the offseason. If the Marauders do lose to that, no shame in losing to that. Tough for any public school to contend with those recruiting abilities.
