Now that we are a seven weeks into the season. We are back to our power rankings. The Power Rankings aren’t suggesting that one team would beat another in a potential match-up, they are simply implying that these teams are where they are at based on the season thus far.
- SMCC 7-0, the Falcons are coming off of two big wins over Flat Rock and Riverview.
- Riverview 6-1, Pirates reign above the Huron League appears to be over.
- Carlson 6-1, The Marauders have a huge game at Allen Park this week.
- Ida 6-1, Bluestreaks preparing for the backyard brawl
- Summerfield 6-1, the Bulldogs riding high entering their Ohio road trip.
- Flat Rock 5-2, Rams can’t afford a slip up against rival Chiefs.
- Bedford 4-3, Kicking Mules with a legit shot at the playoffs.
- Whiteford 3-4, biggest game of the year looms in week 8.
- Airport 3-4, don’t look now, but the Jets are trying to win their 4th in a row.
Can’t tell if these are actual Jefferson fans saying these things or if it is CC parents trying to “anger” their kids. They are 7-0, with a chance to complete a perfect record in the league. They don’t need extra motivation. Jefferson cannot stop a soul, while CC plays defense and is electric on offense. This one will be over after each team has 3 drives and it is 21-0.
The bears will upset smcc this week because of JT lapalm and Kaleb muncey will be a key players this week in this upcoming matchup. GO BEARS!
Seriously dude. Quite frankly this is ridiculous.
The Jefferson Bears are putting together a plan that Coach Beaudry used at Erie Mason that brought huge success. After going 1-8 for a few years, they built a powerhouse, moved to TCC to beat powers like Morenci and Addison.
The Bears are looking to upset the Falcons this week. Then next year the next step then a possible move in leagues after that is when the success moves in. It is all part of the plan, be patient Bear Country.
Move leagues? Jefferson has been in the Huron league since 1968-what benefit would that give us? Playing less than teams for the sake of wins? Stay where you are and work hard and grow as a team and you will find success organically.
It always funny watching CC dads type in stuff to try and “upset” the kids weekly they encourage or hype up the other team to try and piss of the kids.. It’s comical !
I’ve noticed that. As if this team needs any mre motivation.
Especially when you’re a private school that have a group of kids that are on the same team because they wanted to be not because they grew up there. Should be a walk in the park against below average public schools. No need for extra motivation.
How many kids in Riverview HS are school of choice? I’ll wait…..
View should be ready this week. Grosse Ile will return several kicks if they have the guts to kick to #7
let’s hope the starters on the kick off team show up for practice.
In a shocking turn of events that will reverberate throughout the county, the unbeaten St Mary catholic central (SMCC) team, boasting a pristine 7-0 record, is set to face off against the struggling Jefferson squad, currently languishing at 1-6. While the odds heavily favor SMCC, the stage is set for a monumental upset — the kind of game that will be remembered for years to come.
At the heart of Jefferson’s comeback potential is their dynamic playmaker, Luke Bueadure. With his exceptional speed and agility, Bueadure has demonstrated the uncanny ability to outrun defenders all season long. SMCC’s linebackers and defensive backs may have faced competition, but Bueadure’s quick cuts and blistering pace are in a league of their own. He has the skill to exploit any gaps in SMCC’s defense, and if he finds a seam, he’s bound to be gone in a flash, leaving defenders grasping at air.
Moreover, Jefferson’s offensive line is better than many analysts have given it credit for. While their overall record might suggest struggles, it is evident that Jefferson’s offensive front has the capability to provide Bueadure with the time and space needed to execute explosive plays. They may surprise SMCC by not only holding their ground against a speedy physical defensive line but also opening up lanes for the talented running back. This unexpected resilience could significantly alter the dynamics of the game.
Adding to the complexity for SMCC is Jefferson’s receiving corps, led by the elusive Karson Petite. Petite has proven to be a nightmare for opposing defenses, capable of creating separation and making contested catches. SMCC’s secondary, which prides itself on its physicality, may find itself outmatched by Petite’s quickness and route-running precision. If the Jefferson offense can stretch the field and find Petite in one-on-one situations, it could lead to big plays down the field and disrupt SMCC’s defensive schemes.
The narrative of this game is captivating: the undefeated powerhouse against the underdog, desperate for redemption. If Jefferson can harness the speed of Bueadure, the talent of Petite, and the unexpected strength of their offensive line, they stand a real chance to shake things up. An upset of this magnitude would not only shift the standings but also serve as a reminder that in football, anything can happen on any given day.
Fans and analysts alike will be watching in awe as this thrilling matchup unfolds. If Jefferson can manage to pull off this monumental upset, it will go down in history as one of the biggest surprises the county has seen in years, a testament to the unpredictability of high school football and the sheer determination of the underdog to overcome the odds.
Some people never learn to not give SMCC bulletin board material…
Friday will be like this: orbital ramming speed. Falcons win big.
#LetUsPrey
That was a very long post. Wow.
Huron League Analyst Guy’s 12-year-old must’ve just showed him how to use ChatGPT.
SMCC would LOVE more bulletin board material, just preferably from a human.
Put down the bottle… It’ll be Running clock at halftime
Beaudrie will get yds when CC puts in their 3s and CC is up 50
Please remember the two year plan for our Bears… two years… it all starts with running off all the Seniors & dismantling the JV program. Are we moving up the timeline to winning a second game this year? This is exciting news! Go Bears!
What seniors are you referring too? How does Jefferson have a JV program with only 33 kids coming out for football? Please explain bud. Todd
Who wins smcc our Carlson???? Okay I might be getting a little bit ahead of my self hahah.
Great question. It would be an awesome game. Also would like to see Riverview vs Carlson
Carlson by two scores if they don’t hand them the ball more than once. If Carlson gives them three turnovers, then SMCC by 10.
