Each week, I will go through the box scores of all of our teams and pick four players whom I will turn to you, the people, to determine our Player of the Week. Go over to our Twitter/X page to vote: @FNVictors
Since the three of us are busy on Friday, we may not be able to get all standout performances. If you have a nomination, hit me up on Twitter/X.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Apologies for this being later than normal, as I was officiating on the west side of Michigan this weekend.
Without further ado…
Dean Thomas, RB/DB, Ida: Thomas put the Blue Streaks on his back, as he rushed for 165 yards and a score on 25 carries, and also had an interception on defense as Ida knocked off Whiteford 21-6 to snap the Bobcats 24-game regular season winning streak.
Joe Krolak, QB, Carlson: With Izaiah Wright dealing with an injury, Krolak carried the load offensively for the Marauders. The senior signal caller threw for 176 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 62 yards and four touchdowns in a 56-14 rout of Edsel Ford.
Graham Junge, QB, Flat Rock: Junge was cooking for the Rams in a 50-0 rout of Grosse Ile, as the senior threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns. He also tallied 25 rushing yards and a score.
Joey Brink, RB, Dundee: After a tough night in Week 1, Brink got the offense going for the Vikings. The senior rushed for 163 yards and five touchdowns on just 14 carries in a 53-0 rout of Erie Mason.
Honorable Mention: Gavin Albring, RB/DB, Ida; Nathan Pinkava, RB, Riverview; Ian Adams, RB/DB, Riverview; CJ Fairbanks, QB, Milan; Isaac Henman, QB, Bedford; Brady Hines, RB/LB, SMCC; Adam Szalay, WR, Flat Rock
