Each week, I will go through the box scores of all of our teams and pick four players whom I will turn to you, the people, to determine our Player of the Week. Go over to our Twitter/X page to vote: @FNVictors
Since the three of us are busy on Friday, we may not be able to get all standout performances. If you have a nomination, hit me up on my Twitter/X.
Without further ado…
Izaiah Wright, RB, Carlson: Get used to seeing Wright’s name here on a regular basis if you haven’t already. Wright started off his junior season by rushing for 154 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries as Carlson defeated Airport 45-7.
Tre Eitniear, QB, Whiteford: The sophomore signal caller had a hand in all five of Whiteford’s touchdowns in a 35-6 win over Blissfield, as he rushed for 100 yards and three touchdowns. He also threw for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a 2-point conversion, and was 3-for-3 on extra points.
Drew Harris, RB, SMCC: The senior made a difference in SMCC’s 22-14 win at Clinton, as he rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns, and went 2-for-2 on PATs.
Ida Offensive Line: Thanks to center Samuel King, guards Alex Abram and Alex Green, tackles Jackson Wertenberger and Cam Satkowski, and tight ends Wade Morrison and Jacob Towne, the Blue Streaks rang up 366 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in a 48-6 mauling of Grosse Ile
Honorable Mention: Ben Scully, RB, Flat Rock; Ian Adams, RB, Riverview; Logan Goodin, RB, Erie Mason; Tyler Dafoe, WR, Summerfield; Brek Ruddy, RB, Whiteford; Ida Defense
Ian Adams, 4 carries, 135 yards, fastest back I’ve seen in the open field.
Vote for Drew Harris who had a great game for the Falcons against a good Clinton team. 2 TD’s, kicked Extra points and played on every special team group.
