The Bedford Kicking Mules dominated Ann Arbor Pioneer on Friday, securing a convincing 49-14 victory. Bedford’s high-powered offense racked up 230 total yards, with 144 yards coming on the ground.
Isaac Henman led the charge with two rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown. Braylon Gilsdorf added two rushing touchdowns of his own, while Damion Hart sealed the win with a 64-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Quarterback Jacob Spoonmore connected with Henman for a 48-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and later caught a 23-yard touchdown pass from Henman in the second.
Ann Arbor Pioneer’s Hamada Alkhekani scored on a 70-yard pass from Ryan Lonn and an 80-yard rush, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Bedford’s explosive offense.
Defensively, the Mules were led by Keagan Dixon (3 tackles), Cole Johnson (3 tackles), and Wesley Loughner (2 tackles, 1 sack).
The win improves Bedford’s record to 2-2, while Ann Arbor Pioneer falls to 2-2. The Kicking Mules will travel to Ypsi Lincoln next week.
