The Summerfield Bulldogs kicked off their season with a convincing 22-0 victory over Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes. Senior running backs Mitchell Gomulinski and Hayden Nolan led the charge, with Gomulinski rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries, while Nolan added 97 yards and a touchdown on just 5 carries.
Quarterback Trace Secor threw for 117 yards and a touchdown, while Tyler Dafoe had 6 receptions. The Bulldog defense was equally impressive, with Gomulinski and Brendan Myshock each recording 11 tackles, and Jude Flowers contributing 3 sacks.
With the win, Summerfield improves to 1-0 on the season and will look to build on this momentum as they travel to face the 1-0 Decatur Raiders next week.
