SMCC Falcons: Hope & Concern 2024

Reason for Concern – Schedule wise, the Falcons have a tough task ahead of them. The usual rugged Huron League, bookended by two powerhouse programs in Clinton and Country Day, gives adequate reason to pump the breaks on any undefeated season talk. With the loss of a few key figures from a year ago, offensive line depth would appear to be an issue for the power-running game of the Falcons.

Reason for Hope – SMCC boasts one of the best backfields in SE Michigan. Returning starters in Harris, Foster, Hines and Stark provide excellent depth and leadership from the skilled positions. Look for new names to the program, to add more depth as the season wears on.

  1. Schedule is brutal- I seethe Falcons losing to Clinton- Country Day- Riverview- Flat Rock- Huron- Milan. They may have some skilled players- but games are won by the those who have the best lines

  2. Smcc has to build a offense line. Offensive line is the reason we been getting beat the last couple of years. Offensive line just hasn’t been tough enough.

  3. Coach Kipf knows this team is legit, if they learn to play to their best abilities. Insiders say the falcons have altered their offense, which offers them to have a more skilled base offense instead of a push offense per usual. I don’t think any team in the league will be able to match their talent level especially with the best linebacker from Milan transferring to the Falcons and returning starters like Cousino, Hines, and Foster eager to feast on the prey of the league. This will be an absolutely great year for Coach Kipf’s resume. PLAYERS REMEMBER TO STAY LEVEL HEADED (I KNOW YOU’RE READING, STARTS WITH YOU GUYS BELIEVING THE HYPE TO MAKE SOMETHING SPECIAL)
