We continue on with the Hope and Concern series with the Dundee Vikings.
Biggest Reason for Hope: Three-Year Starting QB. Ryan Zanger is back at quarterback for the Vikings for his third season as the starter. The senior is by far the best at his position in the LCAA, and will look to lead the Vikings back to the postseason. Zanger will also have a strong offensive line in front of him.
Biggest Reason for Concern: New Faces at the Skill Positions. Losing all-FNV receiver Braiden Whitaker is a big enough loss, but throw in the graduation of fellow receiver Ethan Layton, as well as tight end Cooper Buell and running back Trey Parker, and Zanger will be working with a new supporting cast. Players like Jackson Martin, Ashton Viers, and Joey Brink will see their opportunities to step into some big shoes. Only time will tell if they can perform when the lights come on.
