The Mighty Rams of Flat Rock enter the 2023 season with high hopes after having one of the best seasons in school history in 2022. The Rams finished 8-4 a season ago and won a District Championship before falling to Country Day in the Regional.
Head Coach: Brandon Reaume
Returning Starters: (10)
Offense: Graham Junge, Brian Booms, Rocco Breslin, Michael Beaudrie, RJ Percha and Drew Booth
Defense: Brian Booms, Rocco Breslin, Michael Beaudrie, Jaycob Pieprzyk
The Ram offense will center around record-setting junior QB Graham Junge along with senior RB Brian Booms. Junge will have multiple targets to choose from when he throws the ball. Seniors Alex Gillum (WR) and Rocco Breslin (TE) are big targets while junior Adam Szalay (WR) had several big catches a season ago. Senior Michael Beaudrie along with juniors Drew Booth and RJ Percha will give the Rams a big physical presence on the offensive line. Look for the speedy Jacob Hagan to be a nice change-up from Booms at RB every now and then.
Defensively the Rams will be led by Booms and Breslin at LB along with Beaudrie on the defensive line. Look for Joshua Stallings and Teigan Donovan to contribute on the defensive line along with Jaycob Pieprzyk and sophomore Evan Szalay in the secondary.
FNV Outlook: On paper, the Rams appear to have more size and depth compared to a season ago and that should bode well in the always tough and physical Huron League. Look for the Rams to be able to score on every team that is on their schedule. If they can stop people, they have a legitimate shot at a Huron League title and another run in the postseason.
