Each week, I will go through the box scores of all of our teams and pick four players whom I will turn to you, the people, to determine our Player of the Week. Go over to our twitter page to vote: @FNVictors
There are a lot of choices in a given week, so narrowing them down to four is a challenge in itself. If you have anyone in particular to nominate, hit me up on Twitter (that will actually help me out more, as my Friday nights are busy with officiating).
You can then vote in our Twitter poll to determine the final outcome.
Without further ado…
Vaughn Brown, QB, Erie Mason: The junior put on a show in a 50-14 win over Saranac at Olivet College on Friday. Brown went 13-for-19 for 358 yards and eight touchdown passes, with the latter setting both a school and Monroe County record. The mark was also one TD pass shy of the state record.
Colin Nowak, WR/DB, Airport: Nowak had four receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns, and made the game-winning interception on defense as Airport prevailed in a 35-32 thriller over Ida.
Brandon Thompson, RB/WR, Summerfield: Thompson was all over the field for the Bulldogs in a 40-12 win over Waterford Our Lady. He rushed for 117 yards and three TDs on 11 carries, caught four passes for 124 yards and a score, and also made eight tackles on defense.
Ronny Johnson and Billy Gaskell, RBs, Milan: It appears Milan has a dynamic duo in the offensive backfield. Johnson (12 carries, 150 rushing yards, 2 TDs) and Gaskell (15 carries, 142 rushing yards, 3 TDs) combined for 292 of the Big Reds’ 338 rushing yards in a 47-0 rout of Berkley. Gaskell also had a 22 yard touchdown reception.
Honorable Mention: Cooper Nye, QB, Airport; Ryan Zanger, QB, Dundee; Jake Iott, RB/LB, Whiteford; Korbin Herrera, WR, Erie Mason; Omari Carter, RB, Carlson; Tyler Fraczek, RB, Grosse Ile

Thought it was player of the week not playerS of the week
I get it if it’s linemen but two RBs? My vote goes to the Nowak kid. Heck of a game
