Coaches’ Thoughts: League play will be tough as always. We have a good mix of experience and youth. Our overall team intelligence and team speed will be strengths. The expectation at Milan is that we compete to win every game that we play. SMCC, Riverview, NB and Airport should all be tough. Our league is always competitive. Getting better as the season progresses and staying healthy on and off the field, will have a major impacted on the league standings.
FNV Outlook: Milan graduated 15 seniors and FNV Player of the Year, Tristen Hines along with FNV All-Blog offensive linemen, Sam Lewallen, but don’t feel sorry for the Big Reds. Milan is at a point in their program under Hoskins where they just reload. Senior Kendrick McBride is one of the best players in the Huron League and will make a run at the overall FNV Player of the Year honors. Milan enters 2020 as the #8 ranked team in FNV’s Division 4 Preseason rankings. Look for the Big Reds to be in the thick of the Huron League race and poised to make a playoff run.
