Grosse Ile finished up 2019 with a 2-7 record but were extremely competitive for a team that finished at the bottom of the Huron League standings. The Red Devils have qualified for the playoffs 5 out of the last 10 seasons. Coach John Bodner enters his 15th season as head coach on the island.

New Players to Watch: Tyler Swick 10 WR, Tyler Faczek 10 RB/OLB, Aiden Pullin 11 OL/DL, Braylon Szokola 10 OL/DL.
Coaches’ Outlook: We find a way to play the game of football either in the fall or in the spring and the safety of everyone involved is taken into account. SMCC, Riverview and Milan are the top 3 teams in the league.
FNV Outlook: Look for Grosse Ile to be in the thick of things in a very balanced Huron League this year. Joey Pizzo is a returning All-FNV performer on offense and the Red Devils seemed to always fair well in even years over the last decade(Facts/Science). The offense will score points with veteran QB Nate Brown who threw for just under 1,400 yards last season. Expect better decision making from the senior and for him to improve his TD/Int ratio. Defense will determine whether the Red Devils can flip the script this year but must replace 3 year starters John Blanzy and Josh Zemmin.
