FNV Thoughts and Questions

Nice come from behind win for the Jets.

That’s a big number put up by Bedford.

Carlson got healthy quick.

I’m very happy for Coach McElvany and the Dundee Vikings.

I hope Erie Mason can somehow find a way to get in the playoffs.

I wish the Huron League would shuffle the deck on schedules.

Grosse Ile about to flip the script?

It’s not how you drive, it’s how you arrive.

Ida needs to get busy.

Da Bears!

Was excited to hear that Evan Furtney played last night.

Couldn’t help but feel Monroe’s pain last night as I listened to the final play on the car radio.

Riverview still controls their destiny.

Heart of a Champion?

I’ll admit, I’m grasping at straws when picking a Summerfield game.

Is Whiteford in the process of reloading?

Big game at Camp Randall today at noon.

I really have no interest in the State game today.

If the Lions win in Philly, it’s playoffs. Loss, SOL

  1. Milan has been in 2 pretty darn good football games this last 2 weeks!! SMCC & Flat Rock!! Both teams can win out this season! If you haven’t played either team yet then you better be ready! SMCC is SMCC They could go a real long way in their Div.6 playoffs!! Flat Rock got their confidence back this week and should make it to the playoffs!! Ravion Davis is a really good QB. and they have some speed amongst their skilled positions!

Milan has more then one player, He has a real good supporting cast!! He couldn’t do all the things he does without the team!! Having a 4.53 40 helps him also!! Kendrick McBride, Dillen Lerette, Evan Furtney is back!! Sam Lewellen is back, Cole Mcelvaney is the QB of the future he’s only a soph. Parker Reed, Noah Cartwright, Jet Issac, Mike Morris, Cray Pennington and the list just keeps going and all led by Jessie Hoskins and his Staff!!

The Huron League isn’t dying yet! Milan is getting more players each year!! Every year we get overlooked but that’s ok we survive each year!!

    1. Could you show me a post where anyone said we would win by two or three touchdowns. We have a very Junior Heavy team. Basically returned one starter on offense and very few on D. A kid who is doing a great job but has never played qb before. Never heard anyone relly beating their chest about our season this year. But please show me the post you speak of.

  2. I find it very funny that view lost to a very good team and now they are just trash cc and milan are the best I think riverview and milan is going to be a very good game it a toss up

      1. You said it, not me. I was trying to be nice. If 11 kids can’t stop 1 kid who runs a 4.83 40 time then you don’t have much of a league.

      2. You said it not me, I was trying to be nice. Look when you have 11 kids and they can’t stop 1 kid who runs a 4.83 40yd time then you don’t have much of a league. Every buddy knows who’s getting the ball. School numbers are to blame and I hope things change in the near future.

          1. Please do not start with the league has been going down since 2009 stuff and I bet you walked up hill to school both ways when you were a kid…..

          2. It’s a running joke GT.. turn your sarcasm meter on.

Every year since the blog has started, people come on here and say the league is down.

          3. Every year somebody says that and no one EVER admits it.
The league can’t be up every year now, come on. Are we afraid to EVER say it is actually down to offend the current schools.

Someday it will be down and someday on this blog somebody will actually admit it.

For now its always up every year so we can be politically correct.

          4. Up/down… it’s neither. The Huron league is what it is.

I would say the teams of today compare to the teams 20 years ago.

The LCAA is surely better than 20 years ago. I would be willing to admit when I see less talent out there.. but i DONT see the lack of talent at all.

  3. Kinda unfair how whenever Jefferson wins no one likes to say/post anything. They were down 24-6 and won but I guess that doesn’t deserve recognition.

    1. Good Victory for Jefferson impressive comeback,
But GI not good literally 2 man team the recipe to beat them is double triple team number 51 on defense on GI he can only do so much and offense sucks

      Milan SMCC top tier rn

    2. Awesome game. Jefferson/GI The future is looking up. It was very exciting as far as a high school game goes. Many are not.

Hopefully Jefferson can build from this, can’t really go anywhere but up.

Good luck to GI, great coaches over there, just don’t always have the kids. Lots of sports options at GI and it does take away from the more popular sports.

  4. Some tight games this week around the area.

After the battle of the T I think SMCC proved they have the best 1-2 punch in the Huron league with Morgan and Cousino. The two are piling up the yards and touchdowns.

    1. I believe that Tristen Hines has proven to be the best 1-2 punch in the Huron League with over 400 yards of offense and 8 touchdowns…….last night alone.

      1. When you running your whole offense around one kid he going to be great but what’s go happen when a team stop him then what

    2. Yes but I don’t see anybody knocking Milan off in order for SMCC to get a share of the HL. Riverview just isn’t gonna be able to do it and neither will Airport. Milan’s defensive line is outstanding and nobody will be able to stop Hines.

      1. Never say never Troll. I would probably pick Riverview to beat Milan and Airport matches up pretty well with Milan, that will be a good game.

        1. I agree. Airport has a habit of getting up to play Milan. Cue up the “one game at a time” clichés, but they are all true.
