  1. Chris, do you ever get nervous while in Dearborn that someone from Divine Child football may shank you for calling them soft last year? You're still my hero for that one, btw.

  2. You nailed it. One of the many reasons we started a program. We have been around since 1999, but athletics really didn't take off until 2011 when we decided to expand the program.

You answered your second question by asking it. I have to have an occasional "pop" or I would" "pop"! Its strictly for health reasons, so I find time. 🙂

  3. It sits in the right area to start a football program. Should be able to draw some kids in. How long has the school been open? And how in the world do you even have time to drink your flavored beer at 32 Taps with your schedule?

  4. We are a Charter School in East Dearborn with an enrollment of 389. Most of our kids live in Detroit. This is our first year with football. We started with a JV team. and currently sit at 1-5. We have lost to SMCC, Ypsi High, Pittsford, Michigan Collegiate and Riverview Gabriel Richard. We beat Summit last night. I am the Athletic Director and Assistant Dean in the HS.

  5. Surprised Flat Rock is not trying to keep Ann Arbor Huron on the schedule. Those bonus points for beating a Class A school is reason to keep them on as long as possible. Very had to see how poor my alma mater has become in football.

  6. We are currently in a league but only one other school has football. Going to play an independent schedule for a year or two then transition to a league that includes football. The Charter School Conference would make the most sense but many of the teams don’t offer boys and girls soccer. Currently have 5 games scheduled for next season and will pick up 4 more within the next month.

  7. What a game in Dundee! BCC has an impressive QB coming up

Congrats to DATA on their first win! Will they be joining a conference when they transition to varsity football?
