  1. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT… NO ONE SAID CHANGE THE OFFENSE… USE HINES AND AESCHBACKER AGAINST THE DEFENSE FOR QUICK STRIKE TD'S… A FEW EXTRA PLAYS THAT WOULD LEAVE FURTNEY OR MORRIS WIDE OPEN FOR SCORES SOUNDS LIKE A HORRIBLE IDEA..
MR. NOT THE TROLL… YOU NEED TO LEARN HOW TO READ

  2. Of course Jefferson and Riverview plays don’t look the same, you have to have the horses and blocking to do what Riverview and smcc does with the T, Milan runs their offense the way it should be ran spread teams out and let them use their speed. There’s no way they could even pull off a T Offense. You have to run what best suits the athletes you have.
Don’t forget Mr.A Oklahoma use to run the wishbone for a very long time plus you still have the military schools who still do and do it well at the college level.
    Not the Troll

  3. Florida didn't come up with the Tebow Jump Pass because he was such a good passer. Use what the defense is doing ask them.

  4. Not sure what all the chatter is regarding Milan's offense. They seem to move the ball and score when they want.

Personally Im not a fan of the "check with me system". Nothing to do with effectiveness, just it bugs the crap out of me.

If you follow Milan's H-back, the ball will soon follow.

  5. 9:00PM LIKE I SAID, I DON'T WANT TO ARGUE… ITS PLAY DESIGN…THERE ARE PLAYS THAT TEAMS RUN THAT WOULD WORK WITH THE MILAN OFFENSE…MISS DIRECTION PLAYS AND PRE SNAP ACTION THAT DIV 1 COLLEGE DEFENSES MISREAD…SO DON'T GIVE ME COLLEGE TRAP OR POWER THIS…MONROE JEFFERSON AND RIVERVIEW RUN THE SAME OFFENSE AND PLAYS… DO THEY LOOK THE SAME.. SO STOP… THERE ARE PLAYS THAT I SEE AND A LIGHT BULB GOES OFF… THAT'S A MILAN PLAY…THERE ARE A LOT OF PLAYS IN A LOT OF PLAYBOOKS…4 INTERCEPTIONS ON THE SAME ROUTE IN THE SAME GAME..THESE TYPES OF PLAYS WOULDN'T HURT.. A GOOD COACHED TEAM THAT CAN GO MAN FOR MAN WITH YOU AND TAKES YOUR BEST PLAYERS OUT OF THE GAME… YOU NEED THESE TYPE OF PLAYS…MILANS PLAYBOOK HAS DEFINETELY GOTTEN BIGGER… A FEW MORE GREAT PLAY DESIGNS WOULDN'T HURT.., TOM AESCHBACKER…NOT A FIGHT … JUST A THOUGHT…

  6. The t is trap which colleges run, power which offenses run and keep out which most spread teams run. They run a boot pass which most colleges run and an offtackle pass which again most college teams run.

  7. OK, MY 1ST POST WAS NOT POSTED… I SAID THAT I BELIEVE MILAN COULD BE A LITTLE MORE CREATIVE ON OFFENSE…I SEE QUICK STRIKE AND MISS DIRECTION PLAYS EVERY WEEK WATCHING COLLEGE FOOTBALL THAT MILAN COULD RUN OUT OF THE SAME FORMATIONS… I KNOW ITS NOT THAT EASY, BUT ITS NOT THAT HARD EITHER…IF MILAN RUNS INTO A TEAM LIKE THE VIEW IN THE PLAYOFFS THAT CAN GO MAN FOR MAN WITH THEM THEY WILL NEED THESE TYPE OF PLAYS… NOT A LOT CHANGES EXCEPT WHO GETS THE BALL… TOM AESCHBACKER…

  8. GOOD I GOT ON HERE BEFORE MY POST WAS POSTED…I DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR PEOPLE B!7ch ABOUT MY POST BEFORE I EXPLAIN… I AM NOT TRYING TO START ANYTHING OR CRITICISE… BUT WHEN I AM WATCHING COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND I SEE A TEAM RUN A PLAY..ITS LIKE BOOM… THATS A MILAN PLAY… THAT WOULD BE 7PTS IF MILAN RAN IT…JUST AN OPINION…ITS A COPYCAT WORLD… TOM AESCHBACJER…SO MUCH EASIER IN CAPS…

  9. The HURON Defense needs work! Size does not matter! Linemen must cross line of scrimmage or yards are given up! Get those boys moving on the ball! Watch the film rarely does the HURON D line cross the line of scrimmage. HURON it looks like has found a was to score. Now we must stop others from doing the same!

  10. @5:55pm, Boy! We've NEVER heard that before. Yet somehow, MCC/SMCC with less than half of the enrollment of your schools seem to figure out how to beat you the majority of the time. You make it sound like we have the absolute best players ever created at every position, and every other school in SE Michigan gets nothing but scraps.Get real. How many of our players have been recruited by Big Ten schools or Other major programs? It seems to me that you guys at Milan have had some giants that get tons of looks. They might be able to play for Wisconsin, but they can't do squat against an undersized line at SMCC? I don't know what you're smoking, but you might want to cut back a bit.If your overpopulated school can't get enough players to put a decent team together with the talent pool you have, I'd be talking to the school board first. I had 72 guys in my graduating class. One superstar. Still didn't play Division 1 ball.

  11. I agree Gary. It takes a little time and game experience to get settled in with a new coach. I believe Huron is on their way. They have a lot of young talent.

  12. Jake,

I also enjoy the things that Milan cooks up on offense. Just remember that any offense looks great when you win, any offense looks terrible when you lose.

Any chance you can help me with those Milan fans who secretly (and some not-so-secretly) wish the program went back to the I-formation? You can tell who they are because they are often the same fans who complain every time Milan does a check-with-me with the sideline coaches. Thanks!

  13. I thought Huron was fantastic. Molnar and Mcraight are very nice players. With an extremely young team(I was calling names of Sophs and Juniors all night) Huron will only get better.

I think coach Smith has figured out his team and has people in the right places. I came away very impressed with Huron.

  14. All these what if's ,coach did this coach did that. People sit back and enjoy your kids play the greatest sport ever. Cause soon it will be over for some. The Huron league is awesome and its fun to watch weather its your team or not. Enjoy it! It wont last forever.

  15. Huron showed what the next couple years could look like last night. The best 4 or 5 players on the field will be back and only one of them wasn’t an underclassman. Coach Smith will lead those boys to success, we’re lucky to have him. Not sure if the QB change will stick, I assume #12 didn’t play because the wind dictated a ground game primarily. He’s got a big arm but zero experience, #16 is a nice player, lead the team well last night. If the frosh receiver gets a little more size, look out.

  16. Hey Jake, if not for a horrible call where your QB throws the ball backwards and CC recovers in the end zone only to have it called back, CC would be 5-0 now and tied for first place – fact! We like our offense just fine…

  17. So Gary you were at SMCC game what are your thoughts on Huron? I'm a Huron parent and maybe biased but that was the best they looked all year to me atleast. Do you think they found something or did SMCC just tire out? Thanks

  18. Here is something no one talks about. Coaches in Michigan make absolutely nothing. A head coach may make $4,000 to $5,000. Assstants make a third of that. They start in early August, give up weekends and nights with their kids. They do a thankless job. You win everyone loves you. You lose and 50 coaches in the stands could have done it better. Coaches sacrifice a lot of time for a truly thankless job.

Thank you to all coaches who coach in the Huron league.

  19. @11:33 AM: You comment is well said as are the other comments pointing out the time commitment and efforts it takes to be a head coach. Coaches don’t coach for the money they coach for the love of the game and players. This game is one of the last proving grounds to help develop disciplined and hard working young men, to teach them the value of a “me third” attitude, to be part of something way bigger than themselves. It is not a game for all, few can stick it out, but those that do have some building blocks for a successful future in life versus just a sport. I’ll say it again. If you want to be critical of coaches, you have that freedom. But your words take a cowardly voice if you have never coached at a high level in this great game of football.

Best to all the Huron league teams the rest of the season.

    HL Fan

  20. Smcc has too many 2 way kids. 2 more kids hurt last night. Go a little into the 2nd string instead of risking more injuries. It would be appreciated.

  21. Only reason you have hardware is because you have a larger talent pool than the rest of us. You have kids from the Ohio line up to Romulus. None of us have that option. Enjoy it while you can. Future may have changed.

  22. Like I said in my comment, I “get” why teams run the loaded backfield, no receiver, double tight scheme. It’s so hard to defend, especially when ran with the toughness and discipline that CC consistently has executed it with. Which I respect. Same goes for the view.

But it sucks to watch. I’m sure it’s made more exciting from the seats in Ford Field.

Milan is running really interesting stuff. Different counters off of looks they’ve already put on tape.

Fair criticism, the Big Reds needing to go farther in the playoffs. Really feel like this is the year.

With all the crap I see on this board, I shouldn’t be surprised at how quickly triggered some fans can be.

  23. Best AP team I have seen in a while! Tough loss on Friday! All Riverview does is take away your best players or plays and makes you u beat them another way. Credit CC they figured that out and made half time adjustments. All week I heard Goins, Goins, well he Gone! Week before the Hines this Hines that! Think he had 4 catchs and a TD maybe 2 but was not really a factor! GI has murders row let’s see if they can sit on top after week 8. FR just can’t find a way to win a Big game this year! It’s an exciting year in the HL!! Hope everyone else can stay healthy, way too many injuries to good players!

  24. Yeah, jake. When my son played for SMCC, all we ever heard from everyone, including Milan fans, is how small, boring and undermanned we were. Yet, somehow, we were able to run all over your huge ,exciting and extremely deep football team. It seems to me that our O-line even got Athletes of the week honors in the Monroe News for keeping the ball for an entire quarter and a half against the big reds.
You've got a great team, and a great coach, and a great program. But until you get the hardware to back it up and prove your point, silence is golden.

  25. I just want to compliment the Dundee players and coaching staff on their game this past Friday night. What a game! I went to the game to see Blissfield's quarterback who is suppose to be the real deal and ended up walking away more impressed with Dundee's defense and their #9 who played linebacker and tailback for them. It was sickening to watch your game winning touchdown taken away from you but keep your heads up. I will be following you and Blissfield the rest of the season now!

  26. Well said 2:54 I'll be the first to vote for any negative comment about a coach, team,or player not be allowed on this blog.

  27. Jake….stop…Milan is not as good as Cc, they have 3 injuries that I’ve seen. All starting RBs, 2 staring corners that could lock down anyone. And a Lb who does his job and is physical. There offense is the best. Why fix what’s not broken.remach cc vs Milan, cc takes a win because they are just plain better, they had some size, but they have smart players and they do everything right when it needs to be done.

  28. Jake,
What does that mean at the bottom of your post about AP fan? Also, I agree that Hoskins is an excellent coach and runs a great offensive scheme.

    AP fan

  29. Jake

That garbage offense SMCC runs won them a state title in 2014 and numerous state semi final and runner up appearances. How many rings does Milan have with that real offense? Don't insult your program or Coach Hoskins by your ignorant comments

  30. Its really sad to see how some of the coaches get treated on here. People think because they spend 5 bucks on a ticket to watch their son's football game, they can rip an individual in a public forum. The majority of you folks have no idea how many hours go into putting together game plans, practice plans, watching film, practice time, weight lifting, off season training, clinics, and then the actual game. You should be thankful for these men who sacrifice time with their own families to spend a couple extra hours with your son to teach him life lessons and how to work with others. I know my post will get ripped by some knuckleheads who have had to many cold ones on a Saturday afternoon to understand any logic but I am done reading the comments on this blog because it is sickening how these people treat the coaches of their teams, and I mean ALL teams because I am sure once Jason Mensing and Whiteford lose a game, we are going to hear about how he doesn't know what he is doing either.

  31. As a long time Milan fan, watching the way some of these fan bases treat their coaches is unbelievable. Or maybe it’s just that we have the best Coach in the conference.

Hoskins and Milan run a REAL offense, not the garbage ball that CC, The View, and seemingly the rest of the league insist on. I get it, it works, but I wouldn’t want to play in it. Or watch it.

Hines stiff harm on a long touchdown run was nasty. A legal punch to the face, hope that Bear is ok.

Jones continues to impress with his accuracy.

Airport Fan gonna’ Airport Fan. You can count on it just like death and taxes.

    ON OH MILAN

  32. CCs scheme is wrong against spread teams , diving at the legs and leaving a huge hole in the middle where they get gashed !!! That's the problem, put your big guys on the middle and let them stick it to the center n guards.. keep the blocks off the middle backer , he's getting killed.

  33. last year I tracked and log all hours for coaching staff I am part of. included film breakdown, scouting, pre and post practice time (1 hour before and after minimum), pre and post game time (1hr before and after minimum), practice and game preparation (1hr before and after minimum), time with parents, team camps, team dinners, and fundraising. it was all out of curiosity to see what our pay per hour would be. so from head coach down the average was 8 CENTS to 3 CENTS per hour. let me type that again 8 CENTS to 3 CENTS PER HOUR. we coach cause we love the game and love the kids even more. we do what we think and feel is best to develop and shape these kids for the game and for life. the kids we coach 100% turn into our own kids. we want what best for them just like they were our own biological kids.
so when we get bashed for being a horrible, terrible, or stupid coach etc., it's the same feeling as saying we are horrible, terrible, or stupid parents.
as coaches we aren't perfect. we make mistakes.
as parents we aren't perfect. we make mistakes.

  34. CC is very good. But when I saw them play they are rock solid in the first half. As the game goes on they get tired. Plays that are no gain or a 2 yard gain in the first half become 4-6 yard plays in the second. I saw the flat rock game and in the first half flat rock really only moved the ball with trickery. In the second half they were getting gashed. CC depth is their only flaw.

  35. Isn’t it funny how great coaches are when they win and how they are “terrible” when they lose.
Flat Rocks coach was great last year, when they were 7-3, but terrible this year with the back yard 1-4 team.
Wake up people . Jefferson’s coach is just as good and works just as hard as any winning coach in this league.
They all put in the time for very little money.
I do agree though that something ain’t quite right in Flat Rock, they are better than 1-4.
Trick stuff only goes so far, need to shore up you line play as well as assume some type of offensive identity.
Just my thoughts. Good luck next week.

  36. FR is absolutely BLESSED to have the coaches we have! Wouldn’t want my son to play for anyone else! It’s easy to wonder why some decisions are made or not made but we aren’t on the sidelines! The boys have done their fair share of jumping offsides, holding, and missing their assignments which happens but can’t be blamed on the coaches. The boys have to execute what they are taught.

  37. AP and FR will be an intriguing match up next week. Rams have played all the “upper echelon” teams. Can they run the table or are their spirits broken?

  38. After watching CC last night they are not winning the Huron League, might not make the playoffs and if they do they will not beat Madison, new lothrop, or Pewamo..no way in the world will they compete with them teams…it's there DEFENSE that will let them down this year…absolutely embarrassing..embarrassing.

  39. I predict Reaume and the Rams will win out and make the playoffs. They have the team and the talent to be 5-0, or at the least 4-1, but have failed to finish. I think the remaining 4 opponents (AP, Jefferson, Huron & AAH) are very winnable and shouldn’t be as close as the rest of their games. The 1-4 record looks deceiving, however the actual game action shows otherwise. 5-4 to finish and hopefully avoid another RR match up. Just a prediction. Now let’s get the rebuttal from the fans of the last 4 teams.

  40. Every game Smcc plays is going to be close.. 22 players and 4 starters hurt..that’s 4 on D and 4 on O.. you are right Gary they just have to suck it up and just get by with wins..

  41. I don’t approve be or disapprove comments.

Maybe if they are addressed to me I do.

On CC’s defense, they could certainly be better. Lack of numbers has to be a factor.
Another key player was lost last night as well. Down to 22 players. Hard to even practice that way.

No excuses though. Next man up.

For CC, at this point, style points can’t matter anymore. Just win. They have done that.

  42. Hey Gary why didn't you post my comment about CCs terrible defense? They have to stop diving at the ground in the middle against spread teams . GI n Airport are going to kill CC if they continue to do that ..and you said CCs defense would be as good as the 2004 team !!! Your move Gary …

  43. @11:53 I tried to like your comment, twice. HA-HA
To say it's been challenging to form a "team" at Huron is a understatement when over the last few weeks you have 5 seniors quit and 4 add'l injured.
Huron played as a TEAM last night! Highlight players from last nights game were sr#32, jr#6, soph#19 and QB soph#16. The new head Coach Smith and Coach Johnson are exactly what the school and team has needed and they are here to stay.

  44. Dundee has 4th and Goal from the Blissfield 1. Appears to get in, refs talk for a min and call them short. Absolute highway robbery. Dundee kids be proud you outplayed Blissfield. I wouldn't be surprised if they win out.

  45. I set up a gmail account as The Troll so people don’t think the other trollers are me. I might say some irrelevant things but I would never come on here and talk bad about anyone or “put a target on our QB’s back”. I personally was happy for Luke. He’s a great kid. The Airport making playoffs comment wasn’t me either.

  46. Without calling kids out by number or position. There is a reason Flat Rock focuses their O around two players. In that same O last year Daniels put up huge numbers. So do you think the coaches saud lets make the running back obsolete this year? Jimmys and joes matter.

  47. Say what you want about flat rock. They have some of the most creative plays that I have ever seen. The league knows they are coming yet they still excute them. Fun team to watch. Just wish more Ws were coming.

  48. As a GI parent that does not have a kid that has played in years. We came into the program after the 0-20 years. I will agree with Chris and his statement that Bodner is a great coach even though he may make the parents crazy with his play calling or his lack of taking time out we as parents think it's necessary. The main thing is that his kids respect him. He takes a small amount of talent and coaches it up year after year. The game last night was a great fight by both teams. It really could of gone either way. Flat Rock coaching staff had their team well prepared for Grosse Ile so quit bashing your coaching staff. Also, We may not have the number of kids that other teams have but we do have quality players that when you double team one player another teammate steps up and makes the plays. All I have to say is appreciate what you have since even though there is a huge difference in the size of our Huron League schools every week every team could win with the proper support both on and off the field.

    GI FAN

  49. Hey Huron League people, Lay off your coaches. You have no idea how blessed you are to have the coaches you do in the Huron League. Most likely these gentlemen spend more time with your kids than you do. Flat Rock people, are you kidding me? Your program was turned around by a solid staff of men. Seriously, I’m surprised anyone wanted that job at the time. Buck and his staff are exceptional at what they do. If you don’t think so, send an email to any of the coaches in the league and politely ask their opinion. You will be thankful your child plays for him and his staff. To GI fans, you saw the reasons I have praised Jon Bodner all these years as a great coach.

  50. Maybe you should coach Flat Rock you seem to have all the answers. Why not just say we battled hard and could have won if a few breaks go our way . Give the kids credit , don't come on and simply rip our team . GI has a lot of ways they attack you , probably the most balanced team we've faced. Also easy to say just stop the long ball .. right .. just get everybody back…. hey Mr. Wannabee Coach they also had a stud running back that we were trying to stop to go along with their passing game. So let us know when you are ready to coach ….. or simply stay hidden behind the screen.

  51. Yes we Riverview had a snapped punt go over head for airport safety 4 fumbles 2 lost Starting field position -6 yd line our special teams were atrocious we kept airport in the game by our mistakes we had 300 or more rush yards we shot ouselves in the foot many times tonight

  52. Prayers for Murphy, Milan #40. Complete fractures of both radial and ulna bones. Surgery later today. He’s a tough one. #pleasesendgoodjuju

  53. All I know is that I'm very glad that you post all of the schools scores that you do and give you're opinions and predictions on them too. Its great the way you're expanding this to more than just the Huron League. Great reporting and great job gentlemen.

  54. Good ball game tonight with View and AP. Jets will play with the remaining 3 league teams and have a great shot of winning all. The Defense did a nice job of slowing the view.
I was impressed with the views Defense, as they get to the ball and have some hitters. Now, this will sound like sour grapes, but were a couple of big calls that did not go our way. 4th and goal from 5 and get stopped at the 1 foot line, and he looks like he got in (but very close and obviously no replays in high school). They get that td and go up 9-0 and maybe changes the game. Another key play was when a LB stripped the ball from runner and they called him down (close call). 2 plays later view go for 60 yard td run. 2 Big plays, that did not go AP's way. However, football has several plays in each game that can go either way. Of course, View also had a bad snap and fumble and overcame both, as good teams do. They are real solid and fly around to the ball and pop ya.
I appreciate Adam Lockharts (11:05) generous comments and glad to get some respect. Good luck to the View the rest of the way and know you will represent the HL well in the playoffs.

  55. Riverview has stopped 3 teams on the goal line this year. Flat Rock, Milan, and Airport. If they don’t stop Airport tonight in the first quarter, they lose. The Jets took away the inside game from Riverview and moved the ball very well. Riverview had some nice long drives but poor field position on special teams hurt them. I still don’t buy this gauntlet of teams that is left to play. As it stands, GI is 5-0. Until someone knocks them off, they are the top of the HL. Everyone has a tough schedule left.

  56. Sounds like AP played a good game. Trap game for the View coming off a big win, but a little surprising. Sounds like the coach over there is doing a nice job.

SMCC is decimated by injuries and had 22 kids dressed I believe. Still find a way to win.

The FR thing makes you wonder. How does GI beat Jefferson 14-7 and then beat FR? FR has the talent to be 4-1 or 5-0. Something is lacking to win close games.

Looks like Milan woke up a little bit tonight. Sometimes it takes a bad game to do that to a team.

Next week will tell a lot about this league.

    HL Fan

  57. Airport fan trash talk "We lost to Riverview but they couldn't beat Whiteford, na na na na na"
2 comments so far about that. Irrelevant. Makes no sense whatsoever.

  58. I'm not sure what happened at practice this week at Huron but tonight looked like a completely different team. From the sidelines to the coaches to the play on the field to how the players were interacting with each other.
I don't think anyone misses the wing t this week

  59. Longtime AP fan here. A loss is a loss. I don’t care about how close we come to “almost” winning. Win the game or don’t post about how hard we played. I can see why we get grief from others.

  60. Well me Lockhart that's kinda awesome, that's all we want is respect from the people involved, being a guy who played for coach red all he wanted was for guys to run and hit, run and hit…glad it still shows even if wins don't come as often as wanted

  61. Tough loss for the Flat Rock team tonight solid special teams play and solid play by defensive line. Corners need to get more physical at the line and the safeties need to play better too many long yardage defendable passes that should have either been picked or knocked down the linebacker especial the middle linebacker were stout. Some adjustment in the secondary and the defense will be the best in the league. And as for the offensive side of the ball a few tweaks and maybe actually run the option and make your qb make a read or two before tucking it away or using his rbs on a few pitches opening up the passing game.. This team lost a bunch of solid seniors from last year once these guys begin to trust one another and utilize all their weapons the sky is the limit for this team, but until then its gonna be a long season… Keep your heads held high Flat Rock it will come together and when it does look out..

  62. Bucs fan at 10 06 ur absolutely ridiculous …u got a couple things to consider….1. Airport is better than most give an credit for and u win against a solid 2. Ur guys have played poorly in 2 of ur 5 games, lost 1 and barely beat a terrible airport team or 3. Jr just another blah blah blah team who will win 7 games maybe beat a Trenton type team and get murdered by chelsea bc ur not on their level…so is airport not that bad and u should be happy or are u just a better breed of worthless than the jets…btw u couldn't beat Whiteford so ur at best a d8 runner up

  63. AIRPORT FANS – I know you feel the blog boys don’t respect you but I can tell you our coaching staff does. One of them told me tonight “Airport and CC are two teams we always know will come play physical and tough”.
So…ya know…not for nuthin’ at least those closest to the game respect the program.

  64. Flat Rock had no pressure on GI QB all night. And I think everyone in the stands knew GI was going to run a fake punt after their timeout but Flat Rock.

  65. Number 6 on Huron never came off the field and made huge plays all night on both sides, new QB was a good change, and Hurons head coach’s freshman son caught 2 touchdowns. Definitely curious on how Huron will finish the season coming off a very good game between CC. I think Huron found an identity.

  66. HL is a running league a lot of teams do not defend the pass very well. I would probably say that most offenses in the HL are 85-90% run. I have watched SMCC and the VIEW win games and they never thru the ball once. Running the ball in the HL is a mans job especially against the View.

  67. Hey Troll stop with all your predictions
About Airport… nothing but bad luck. All the talk about Goins this week didnt help. Now playoffs? One game at a time!!

  68. Hey Troll stop with all your predictions
About Airport… nothing but bad luck. All the talk about Goins this week didnt help. Now playoffs? One game at a time!!

  69. Flat Rock needs to learn how to knock a ball down on defense. Stop tying to intercept every ball thrown. Again gave up long TDS on defense.

  70. Well once again Flat Rock was out coached!!! At some point you have to utilize the other 9 kids who put in the work to earn the spots on the team. YOU CAN NOT WIN RUNNING #9 AND #14 EVERY PLAY!! Its a shame that the Rams probably have the talent to be undefeated but with how blatant and predictable they have become they will probably only win 2 games this year..Its about time for them to wake up and actually coach instead of playing backyard football with just 2 players. You have to adjust your coaching to your team's talent and not just use two players every play. They have 2 senior wide receivers that are sure handed in #4 and #20 and a solid tight end in #45 they have a senior rb #23 and #5 who are as fast as anyone in the league but none of the above are even considered options during game. And if you think I am a mad parent your wrong my son doesn't even play football hes on the band. It sounded as though everyone in the stands felt the same way. Time to wake up coaches…

  71. MILAN REGAINED SOME OF THEIR CONFIDENCE TONIGHT AGAINST JEFFERSON… GOING TO BE A DOG FIGHT FOR THE HL TITLE… WHO WILL BREAK 1ST…PRAYERS FOR #64 AND #40 FOR MILAN… TOM AESCHBACKER

  72. Not that it matters, but the GI Flatrock final was 35-28. Very tough loss. The team played great. Best 1-4 team in the area. GI QB had himself a night in the air. Rams did a phenomenal job taking GI’s Blanzy out of the game on defense. Did a great job playing away from him and double teaming him when playing on his side. The trick plays were there. The Rams just need to finish the game.

  73. Or View just had an off night bad snap on punt, fumble lost, etc. Nah, never that. Always a warrior effort that fell short by AP faithful. Had the clock not expired, AP woulda come out ahead. Ha. As They day on ESPN “cmon man”

    Go Bucs

  74. I have a great idea! Don’t say shit about Airport unless you were actually in Riverview watching the game. Ask them what they think about Airport. Our first possession we turned the ball over on downs on the 1 inch line and our 2nd possession we turned the ball over on downs on the 4 yard line. Give Riverview’s defense credit but to beat good teams you HAVE to punch those in the end zone. Great game by both teams. But I think I’m more mad now than I was after the GI game.

    The Troll

  75. I think the point is people commented on scores predictions saying Riverview 58 airport 6 and stuff, and it was 14-9 with 6 mins left….just kinda realize they aren't that bad anymore and move on, they know they lost they're not happy it was close, they wanted to win….its people like me moral victories that are useless, just let the kids play and if they lose they lose hut don't mocm em

  76. Airport gets discredited because they brag about every little thing. Win with class, lose with class. You will get some respect. beating Huron and Jefferson and talking like your QB is Tom Brady is not earning you respect. You beat 2 lesser teams like you were supposed too and now we see how you do against the rest. You hung for awhile with the View, that's great, take your lumps and move on. Don't expect kudos from all of us because you hung with a team. You lost.

    Good Luck.

NOT the troll. Never will be.

  77. Anybody know who won the floatbuilding contest at Flat Rock? Just curious, I know they announce it but I guess I just missed it.

  78. I'm not sure if SMCC is bad, or if Huron is good. #16 is a good QB for Huron. Better than Hartwick. SMCC's defense is absolutely horrendous. They better tighten up or they're going to get exposed. That's the main reason why there's all the last second decisions.

  79. Troll you are correct about the blown opportunities. Airport had 3 redzone trips in the first half and came away with 7 points but let's give some credit to Riverview's defense, Goins had no time to pass because of the pass rush. EM

  80. Last time I checked a W was a W and a L was a L. Margin of victory or a close loss means diddly squat towards the league championship and playoff points.

  81. Agree with 9:09. One person comments on Airport and before you know it, they come outta the woodwork about all the Airport fans! I don’t get it. I rarely see Airport fans even commenting on here but man! Watch out when someone does…..it brings out the best of the best on the blog!

  82. Not a moral victory, a loss is a loss but it does get pretty obnoxious being an airport grad reading comment after comment about how bad and overrated the program, coaches and players are….just went and played at Riverview big school on their field that was a d3 semi finalist and state ranked this year had game at 5 points with 6 mins left and gotta read taking moral.victories on here….any school on league besides cc who beat em would take that….idk why everyone on here discredits airport, it's weird, but whatever good game over at Riverview got to watch an airport team much better than what they showed first couple weeks

  83. Nearest an tell airport ave Riverview more of a fight than Milan did, and that 1-3 FR team thateverne on here told about bc they almost beat whoever….cmon, just stop, Huron playing cc heads up, everyone on here is so agenda driven, cc Milan and Riverview probably 3 best, Dr airport GI probably next 3 but the difference is very very very minimal, any can beat any of the others, there is no for sure best…besides, a school with 200 kids down us 23 would beat all of em so it's all irrelevant

  84. Well either people need to start giving airport and Grosse ile a little more respect and stop with the wait til you play the good teams talk or need to realize cc Milan and Riverview aren't as dominant bc scores are showing GI and airport can seemingly play with and beat anyone. Chris and Gary excluded they seem to have already realized this

  85. 28-0 carlson up at half time. Southgate's concession stand is mediocre; they're trying to keep up with the greats, like Edsel Ford. Also, too pricey for what you get. You're better off bringing your own refreshments, which may pr may not be confiscated at the gate depending on your hiding skills.
