  1. 11:46 Set a school record for most points and rushing yards in a season. Rushed for more yards than anyone in the DRL. First time in the playoffs since 2009 and best record since 2006 and the system does not match? Come on … Riverview has their system in and has developed tough kids. Carlson will get there

Year 1 in a new offense and new defense. Jack Giarmo will only get better each year with their program.

  2. We will do an all blog team. We will also do a all Huron league team because we cover every team. Those will come out after every team is either eliminated from the playoffs or wins a state championship.

  3. I’m not going to post that. I will say that Carlson qualified for the playoffs for the first time since 2009 they had more wins this season than any other since 2006. They set a school record for points scored in a season. The stuff I heard being yelled from the stands was not only idiotic but ridiculous.

  4. I believe I told you Black Beard the Pirates ran ran ran without being able to be stopped
And the DE's for Riverview put so much pressure on Franklin, the rush defense is outstanding and the Bucco's just play as a complete team!
Strap it on for great game next week Pirates

  5. I couldn't understand why Ida didn't pass more. Algonac was stuffing the run all afternoon, but the Streaks were having success with the few passes they tried. It may not have mattered that much considering their O-line was really struggling. Didn't get much of a push allday.

  6. Want to give my heartfelt thanks to all the parents from the HURON League for supporting SMCC and the View its awesome to see all the parents from the HURON League come together. Our Bucs have been one team all year, humble and appreciative. Just like it seems we are all defending our league to the Downriver League we are all one team now, HURON League vs. Everybody. Chris thanks for coming to Big Al’s last night it was great hanging out. Now onto the game congrats to number 2 he is an awesome QB from Carlson evasive athletic and very field aware. The Carlson offensive line was strong and big but sometimes strong and quick wins the race. Cam Rogers out with a broken clavicle, obvious league MVP, Kyle Naif filled in like a rockstar, junior with Senior confidence. Please keep us as the underdogs that’s how we roll best. Good luck to SMCC and Riverview next week it would be great if the HURON League showed up in force. Met QB Assenmacher at the game last night great kid very respectful. #bucnation #fearthehorn #oneteamonemission #hocokings #oneleagueone mission! #fordfield4huronleague

  7. DRL= overrated. Wyandotte (their best team) lost to Lincoln, who lost to tecumseh. I believe tecumseh and airport played competitive. That’s a stretch but… Also, Giarmo practically gave Riverview their offense, and he is one hell of a coach. I don’t think preparation was an issue, just Riverview had better execution and better players. congrats and good luck to Riverview moving forward. Good luck to smcc as well, Let us prey for 2 state champs from the league 🙏🏻 -smcc alum

  8. Great game by the Bucs last night! Tired out the Carlson team in the first half with long drives and repeated stops on D. Also can we just agree that the Huron League was better this year??? 2 district champs for HL (CC and View) and 0 for DRL (Wyandotte lost last night).
    View faithful

  9. I'm not a carlson fan but watching Carlson constantly run into the teeth of Riverview and gain 2 yards all night and have no success. Then to see #10 streek down the field and have 6 yards of seperation every time made me question carlsons system with the team they have this year. Only time Carlson did anything was when their athletes were in space. Just saying the system doesn't match the team.

As for downriver league being down I think that is just a fact. In a normal year Allen Park and Wyandotte are both solid, then woodhaven , melvindale, Trenton go up and down but put out pretty decent teams. This year the top teams were Carlson and Wyandotte and the gap from them to the rest of the league was large. There were very few competitive games for the top two. Riverview can both be good and the Downriver league can be down in the same year.

  10. Well that sure was fun watching Carlson get RUN OVER last night. No district titles for the Downriver League just like i predicted. Next up Divine Child and it's D1 recruits are in the way of an oncoming train CHOO CHOO!!!!!!!

  11. Boy did Riverview look good against Carlson.
I was surprised how they shredded the Marauders defense.
Much improved from earlier in the season .
Best of luck next week at Divine Child.
I am hard to impress and Riverview impressed me!

  12. Carlson has thrown the ball for years and have won nothing and not been to the playoffs in 8 YEARS! There are probably not to many teams in the state that can say that. Obviously arm chair guys want to drop back and just throw the ball up every play. Doesn't work like that. To Riverviews credit they would just grab the receiver and only give up the 15 yards. Riverview just to physical!!

  13. Great football game last night. A great team victory. The kids overcame a huge injury to Rogers and continued to dominate the game on both sides of the ball. Awesome to see all of the Huron League varsity jackets in the Riverview stands. Lots of love and support!

  14. Why is it Riverview wins Huron league people say oh they won because Huron league is down! Oh Riverview won the first play off game it's because Trenton is not good this year! Oh Riverview beat Carlson and they did so because Downriver league is down this year! All season long I've heard this team is to big or this team is to fast or this team has kids going D 1 or Riverview can't guard against the pass… But Riverview keeps proving people wrong! How about this Riverview is just flat out good…they have a group of players that play well together it's not about 1 or 2 players it's about the team. Thank you to the Huron league teams that came out and supported Riverview last night. HURON LEAGUE STRONG! GO BUCS

  15. Riverview has the perfect system for their personal. Athletic lineman, bruising backs, and just enough wrinkles to confuses a defense. Watching Carlson I kept thinking this team is being held back by the T. They don't have a great line, but had athletes everywhere. But the T is won or lost in the trenches and Riverview was superior tonight. One thing is the Downriver league was down for sure. Allen park usually a staple of the DR leage was down and the quality suffered. Too bad flstvrick played rouge first game I think they could have done well and had a little run.

  16. Riverview Played a great game tonight. Carlson scored on basically 2 broken plays. Carlson's QB was tough. 1st TD was thrown while being tackled. He kept the play alive and made it happen. He was a great athlete. Riverview is a true team. No-one on that team stands out yet they all play their position very well. They do their job and pick each other up. Cam Rogers who some have said is the stud on the team went down in the 2nd quarter and others stepped up to fill the hole. I know someone said that views O-line was smaller than Carlson's so they couldn't hang yet the lighter View line was tougher and pushed what weight they did have around tonight. They even have one of the smallest guys on the field on defense with little #8 Johnson yet he has had some of the biggest and hardest hits all year. The whole team plays together and with heart. Congrats boys! I was also super impressed with the sportsmanship at this game. I love seeing the big ugly's in the trenches giving hugs and shaking hands and recognizing each other for a hard battle at the end of the game. Congrats Carlson on a god season and best of luck to you men! Riverview can continue to surprise lots of people as the playoffs continue to unfold.

  17. Flat Rock Ram here. Very proud of Riverview’s performance tonight. Boy those backs run tough. Hope you guys saw the Flat rock faithful there. Half the team and coaches showed up too. Good job tonight fellas, now go give divine child hell!

  18. Sounds about right! Riverview can’t defend the spread! No team in the Huron league runs that! Haters going to hate! CHOO CHOO!

  19. Riverview dominated. But if Carlson would have abandoned the run and threw earlier it would have been closer. Riverview had no answer fir #10 ian stewart. D.C. Is a offensive nightmare for Riverview bebausevthey can throw. Riverview great team!

  20. @10:12, I'm not worried about nect week. But I'm not the one that was shooting my mouth off. We were lucky to get in, yet we gotta hear how we shouldn't be playing these teams, we're too small, we suck, etc.The funny thing is, the tune never changes. But one thing is certain, Hudson won't be playing next week. It might be hell. SCOREBOARD.

  21. League is down. The league champ is the only one still playing and the other team is only still playing because they are playing teams 4 divisions below that. Come on really. Enjoy this week. Next week will definitely be it.

Talk to us next week YO MAMMA, Madison Heights is in the house. Hell is back.

  22. Wow. Riverview is no joke. Congrats on an awesome win to Riverview and CC and thank you for making the league look so good.

  23. You mean that puny little SMCC O-line beat that GIGANTIC Hudson team? Hell has frozen over. Sorry, Hudson. It seems that you, like ALL the others, don't know what you're talking about.

  24. I guess records, experience and talent are out the window these days. It seems to be all about who shows up each week. Right now Riverview and SMCC are showing up.

Obviously #1 in D& doesn't stand for a lot and almost winning the DL doesn't says much either.

  25. Red Devils supporting The Pirates!!! Tired of hearing how Downriver League is superior. CHOO CHOO VIEW!! To the woodshed!!!

  26. Sorry Carlson but like I said last week. Riverview is better team. View has whole package, play as team. Carlson is more about few players. Keep it going. Huron players felt same way. View was tougher team.
    Chief fan!

  27. The Rams fans in our house all say …… GO PIRATES!! We are huge fans Cam Rogers, Zach Warlick and Kyle Naif!! Congratulations to all my favorite pirate moms
