Huron League Offensive Player of the Year

Because the blog started with the Huron League and we cover all eight Huron League teams we will be picking our All League Teams and Players of the Year again.

We will pick an Offensive Player of the Year, a Defensive Player of the Year and an Overall Player of the Year. We will then pick 11 offensive players, 11 defensive players a kicker and a punter for our All-League teams. Our Players of the Year will not be included in these All League teams.

Milan RB Hunter Aeschbacker has been named the All-Huron League Blog Offensive Player of the Year. The 5-9, 190 lb junior was a threat to score every time he touched the ball this season.

Aeschbacker ran for 1,274 yards and 13 TD’s. He also caught 12 balls for 137 yards and a TD while returning 4 kick-offs for TD’s.

Milan qualified for the playoffs for the 5th time in the last 6 seasons and finished in a tie for 2nd place in the Huron League this season with a 5-2 record even though injuries limited the Big Reds to 19 healthy players come playoffs.

  1. Mason QB over 2200 yards, freshman. Plus over half the team started as freshman. Gonna be some fun games in over next few years to watch with all this young talent in county.
    GO WHITEFORD!!

  2. Congrats to Hunter!! I don't think their is a harder working player on Milan's team ! He was in competition with some really good players but I think Gary and Chris got it right! He's already getting ready for next year! Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

  3. I watched Aeschbacker play his youth football at Ypsi Lincoln. He has been running over and around people long before he got to Milan and Hoskins.

  4. Kid is a stud.. MaxPreps has him as the number 1 kick returner in the state and one of the top rushers in his class.. Happy Thanksgiving all!!!

  5. TOM AESCHBACKER HERE….I WOULD LIKE TO THANK CHRIS AND GARY FOR THE RECOGNITION THAT THEY ARE BRINGING TO THE HURON LEAGUE AND ITS PLAYERS. HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING. I AM NOT YELLING…I JUST CAN'T SEE THE LIITLE LETTERS.LOL…TO ALL THE HATERS… HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING….SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED IT.

  6. 9:08 I'm sure this player is deserving of recognition but how do you measure the will within someone and determine its greater than someone else. Is there a stat for this I missed??

  7. A GOOD COACH SEES A PLAYERS TALENT, AND THEN HELPS HIM TO FINE TUNE IT, THUS MAKING BOTH PLAYER AND COACH LOOK PHENOMENAL.

STAY OFF THE HATER-ADE AND GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.

  8. Pretty sure it’s the coach and the players who execute! Hoskins is a great coach!!! And he definitely proved that this year !!

  9. This is always a nice honor for these kids. Can’t we all just congratulate them and not be negative. These are kids! Way to go Hunter! Outstanding player and great season!
