  1. Alot of interesting talk on here about Airport/Riverview to say the least. Hopefully Airport can match Riverview physically up front, if not it could be a tough night for the Jets. Good luck to all local teams tonight. EM

  2. Now a team has an advantage because there school has AC. There in school, not swinging a hammer on a construction job. How about this if we're playing you and we have AC the school will not run it on game day. Give me a break. What's next.

  3. It's all good. Chris and Gary sent portable air conditioners and frozen pops to Riverview in their continued effort to kick Airport for their coaches not participating in the blog 😉

  4. I think this weather will be a factor in the Riverview/Airport game. The riverview boys are sitting in an un-air conditioned school, the airport boys are in air conditioning. Is anyone at their best after sitting in heat and humidity all day? It is definitely so bonus for airport not dealing with this heat all day.

  5. Just for the record, I have seen FR, Huron and Riverview twice. I have seen Milan and Airport once. I have seen film on everyone else in the Huron League. I think from top to bottom the league is pretty solid. Not sure if there is a high end team yet. Riverview looks very good, even after the loss to FR. FR seems like their playing well after their loss at Milan. Huron has yet to lose and looks like they just need more time in their new systems both offensively and defensively. Still not sure on Airport, but lets face it, they are 3-1 and a few plays away from being 4-0 or 1-3. Milan is still Milan and you most likely won't see me picking against them anytime soon. SMCC is the wild card. Their win over Pewamo-Westphalia is a quality win and they have played very well at times all season. It wouldn't shock me if they win out. Jefferson and Grosse Ile are going to sneak somebody. Tonight's games will be interesting, the heat and humidity is going to be crazy and could benefit the teams with depth.

  6. Ida is re-loading??? Didn't they give up 40 first half points and lose for the first time in school history to Brooklyn? Hmmmmmm lol

  7. Airport-the most relaxed out there……we have to be-everyone's a critic when it comes to the Jets!! Good luck tonight Jets!!

  8. Listen I think Airport wins too but back up a bit on Chris and Gary they did sound a bit iffy on their pick for A vs. R they just think Riverview has it more. Which is a safe pick for them I believe Riverview is 3-1 and two of them were against Milan and SMCC, (and won) two teams Airport has yet to play. So to pick Airport to win means, hypothetically, they believe Airport can solidly beat both of them and vice versa they believe Riverview can beat Grosse Ile, Huron, and Jefferson or some Mixture of the 3. Today will tell. Thanks guys!

  9. Not sure AP matches up too well with Riverview. Airport does not have the team speed of Huron or Flat Rock. Riverview has more size and physicality than Huron and Jefferson. I think AP may have trouble handling the Bucs up front rendering their backfield talent at a disadvantage. They may have to open the offense up a bit with the pass.

Just my two cents after watching all 5 of these teams this year. But that's why they play the games!

  10. Let's be real here. After four weeks of the season, many of us haven't even SEEN 1/2 of the other teams in the league if you are following your home team every Friday night. Most everything we say on hear is based on hearsay or the one game we saw the opposing team. Any projection of winners is not based on a wide body of work. The picks are for "entertainment purposes only" and do a great job of eliciting dialogue on this blog.

    Please AP – RELAX!

  11. Not spending time with your parents before they die, missing your kids activities because you work too much, not chasing your passion and dreams. Those are regrettable. Not picking Airport to win a HS football game? Not so much.

    Airport fans truly are insufferable……

  12. There is no chance Dundee beats Ida. Ida has played way better quality of teams. Dundee's supposed great fullback has been shut down every week since the airport game and their defense can't stop the T (see last week). Ida isn't rebuilding, they are reloading!

  13. RiverviewFootballMom

Good luck to all the teams tonight, and especially my favorite, the Bucs! RV is extremely physical, but I hear Airport has some extreme speed. Going to be a great game, both teams will be giving it their all. Can't wait to watch what is sure to be an exciting matchup!

  14. Milan fan here, and although we haven't played Airport yet, if Riverview plays like they did against us, good luck with that!!! Lol cause them boys were beasts haha
