Hey thanks for the cudos, but I have to explain something I don't always pick against FR, but if I did; I would be a very respectable 55-19 since I started this thing back in 2009.
1. Gary and Chris are homers (yet they routinely pick against their alma maters) 2. SMCC has an unfair advantage because they "recruit" (yet all schools have open enrollment except for maybe GI) 3. Airport will always let you know how great their JV is (yet will complain they are being picked on when other people reference it) 4. Half the teams will always claim they aren't being respected only because they aren't being picked to win (yet half the teams will lose every week I league play). 5. There will be at least a dozen claims of D1 offers for players in the league (yet maybe 1 will actually sign). 6. The View will always counter a compliment to one of their players by caustically reminding the blog of the other great players on the team who didn't get the compliment. 7. A basement dwelling program will always claim that they are working harder than any other team irrespective of their lack of knowledge regarding the activities of the other teams. 8. Parents will complain if their kid doesn't get the participation recognition "they deserve". 9. It's always the coaches fault.
Once you get used to that, it's time to enjoy a forum that celebrates a great sport in a league with rich tradition. Many thanks to Chris and Gary for the effort and countless hours they provide for free!
probably correct 3:01. I do participate in the blog from time to time, but never spewed hatred towards the coaching staff last year. Don't have twitter account either, so can't speak to that. I will say one thing. A lot of folks get on this blog and talk about how the coaches were treated and say "stay out of the way of the coaching staff". Well, I guarantee that any of the teams in the HL league (including perennial powers Milan and SMCC) would have done the same thing and created negativity towards their coaches having gone 1-8 on consecutive years. Yes, it's not always on the coaching. The kids in program have to take some responsibility, but it's the world we live in. At the Varsity level, it's win or take some grief. If coach Hoskins over at Milan were to have back to back (not only losing seasons), but 1-8 seasons this blog would be blowing up with their fans in a negative way. Milan fans, I only used you as an example, because you've had the most success for awhile now.
Probably comes a crossed disliking the kids but is most likely just a dislike of those parents who were ruthless to the previous coaching staff. There was hate spewed here and on twitter. Those guys didn't deeserve the way they were treated at all.
I'm just a parent that loves to watch my kid from Airport play football. Plain and simple. I never get on here and bash other teams, coaches or players. I love to read everyone's post for the most part. But for the life of me, I CANNOT understand the mentality of the ones who can't wait to spew absolute borderline hatred for Airport football. I know my kid comes home from practice every single day and he's proud. He's proud of himself, his teammate's, his coaches and his school. He's a great young man. He's looking forward to a great game of football tomorrow night. Win or lose, we are there to cheer him on. A win would be great-but if it's a loss, he would shake the hand of every player and coach, leaving that field knowing he gave it his all. We have a lot of Airport pride over here in Carleton. It's been a long time coming. These boys have the entire community behind them. I'm just baffled by any person that promotes failure of a team in such a mocking way. Best of luck to all the guys tomorrow night……on every team🏈

Yea, that one always cracks me up. Every team works hard. Yes, some work harder than others, but unless you have been to every team's practices, you really would have no way of knowing.
LOL, data for that surely comes courtesy of The Backside Institute. Facts and opinions are totally different beasts, and you know what they say about opinions…
Maybe the rest of us fans and parents from other schools can get ourselves an official team hammock like the ones that our young men apparently are using instead of working hard. Personally, I'm looking forward to Week 8.
98.3 out of Monroe. The game streams live at 7 pm with pregame at 6:30 pm. Gary can probably give you the exact web address. The game airs tape delayed at around 10:30 pm on the air 98.3.
Don't sleep on Airport. They are changing the culture. There is an atmosphere going around Carleton that hasn't been felt in years. That team has been working harder than any other team in the Huron league this year. Huron thinks they're going to just walk all over them. Which is why airport is gonna come out swinging, catch them off guard, and come out of this game with the win.
Airport up 7-0 at Huron!
Airport up 14-0. Taking it to Huron so far!
Airport up 7-0 at Huron!
Just varsity players. I can barely get JV scores.
Remember rocky beat drago! AP win last second field goal…
Great post, 9:38! (starts slow clap)

Do yall just look at varsity players or do you check out the jv players that go be moving up and making noise on the jv level
Haha. Funny and not far from the truth. And your welcome.

Moral compass? I swear that I just must not be smart enough for this blog anymore. Whose moral compass is askew? Someone please help me!
The worst is "they just wanted it more".
@5:59pm
More importantly……someone needs to decipher having a moral compass as opposed to not having one.
I only come here for the Airport JV comments 😂 Someone needs to decipher the difference between hate and humor.
The blog let the hatred go? Thought they didn't allow hatred of coaching staffs go on here?
@3:01
I feel clueless, so please point me to the hate being spewed….
@3:00pm
The constant "Airport JV" nonsense comments have run their course just to name one way of "mocking". The poor attempt at humor is getting old.

What does this mean?

Please provide your scientific study and data to support. Otherwise
I figure 4 more weeks and we will be talking about the Airport JV again…..

You mentioned that the Riverview/SMCC game will be broadcast locally. How can we direct people to find this, if they can't be at the game?
