  1. AP has too many parents who think they know it all. Hearing now that they are protesting some of the basketball coaches. Really? Come on. This isn't the NBA, its a high school team. Thankfully there is not a HL basketball blog. Football complaining was enough.

  2. Talking crap about Airport on this blog won't really get you very far. Actually makes you look like a big crybaby. Definitely easier to complain on here, go talk to someone about the issues you are having ….maybe someone will listen…there are other teams in the league that have struggled this year, don't see them whining about it…

  3. Why does the league need to know your (Airport's) business? There are obviously problems, but I'll let you air them somewhere else. Go to the Monroe News. You can post there. Oh, that's right, you have to include a name there.

  4. Keep censoring the comments about the AP game Chris. You're doing a fine job keeping the issues from getting exposed to your non-AP blog reads.

    1. AP parent and or fan . Why should we continue to beat a dead horse our season is over! I'm sure AD Duffy and coach Baas will be meeting to discuss the future of AP Football! Regardless of weather we agree or not with the decisions made we must support the program and our young men! RB

  5. If you look at Snooze2You.com's predictions for the playoffs, they have Milan in the district with GI, Jefferson and Adrian…..3 schools that they have already played this year once. It is always difficult to beat a team twice in the same season. District Champ will most likely run into a very good River Rouge…. would have been interesting to see how the brackets would have shaken out differently if RR wouldn't have had to forfeit their game to Chelsea at the start of the season.

Good Luck everyone. It is now ONE AND DONE SEASON.

  6. I'm thinking Milan or GI will win a district. Congrats to Huron on making the playoffs for a 3rd straight year. Hopefully Jefferson sneaks in with 5 wins. Alot of young talent at my alma mater, hopefully better days are ahead. EM

  7. The teams that didn't make the playoffs; SMCC, Riverview, Flat Rock, and Airport kids put in a lot of hard work. Keep your heads up! You learned a valuable lesson in life; sometimes things don't go your way, but you can't quit.

  8. Well said FR dad. The grind is difficult. Any student athlete that goes out each and every day and puts their heart and soul into whatever they do is something to be proud of.

  9. Thank you Flat Rock players and coaches for all of your hard work and dedication this season in building a solid foundation for 2017 and beyond. A bigger thanks to my son for making me so proud of you during these last four years… I'm going to miss watching you play! It hasn't always been easy, but most things in life that are worth anything seldom are.

  10. So at 5,162 rushing yards … thats puts him 14th all time in Michigan HS rushing history … Outstanding Job Trace! … But you still have some work to do … Good Luck!

    1. Those stats don't inclufe the Deteiot Country Day from last year, once those are updated he will be around 5250 give or take a few. He will also have 72 TDs and 432 points which will put him in there 2 more times for career TDs (min 70) and career points(min 400). Hoskins said he would update max preps soon.

  11. My pleasure! I look forward to the expansion of the blog next season although there is a possibility that I will just play a behind the scene managerial role next season. We will have to wait and see.

  12. Thanks for fine young players in our Huron League this year. Riverview,Airport,Jefferson,SMCC,and Flat Rock gave us some exciting games during 2016 and we look forward to 2017 season. All of these teams gave their best. Grosse Ile,Milan, and hopefully Huron move on to playoffs.Best of luck to all! Thanks also Chris Schultz for this great forum. We appreciate you and the Huron League coverage you provide!

    1. Garden City is a large team in size and had Vollmerhausen's number. We had to mainly rely on the passing game, which was excellent. There were two offensive interference calls on passes in the end zone against GI,which were a little shady, seeing GC were double and triple covering our guys. It was really a few mistakes on our part that allowed them to score. GC definitely watches a lot of film and wanted a win for their senior's last game. It was a good game to watch.

    2. That is why the dynamic duo are a force to be reckon with. If they got Lindemans # that leaves Barnes open and if they focus on Barnes then Lindeman is open. Hard to stop both at the same time.

    3. GI has more than one "beast" and they all worked well togetherfor a GREAT season. Whats up with all cutting down the players? Come on GI doesnt have to talk crap PROOF IS IN THE RANKINGS

    1. Very proud of the JETS kids they played hard all season and never gave up. Keep your heads high I see great things next season.

  13. Well Flat Rock won 52-28….. so much for that 1 point victory prediction. Huron only won by 30????? really hope you stayed home, or went and watched your chiefs play.

    1. They r terrible beating owoso so what.what has Jefferson becomd playing such bad teams last game of season.program has long way to go .class of 94
