Be sure to check out the podcast: SMCC @ Airport

SMCC (2-3) is coming off of a 28-0 loss to Grosse Ile while Airport (1-4) lost to Flat Rock  22-3. SMCC won last years contest by a score of 49-7 and lead the all-time series 43-10.

The Falcons were shut out last week and turned the ball over 3 times against Grosse Ile.  SMCC will continue to run their straight T formation with three backs and the QB getting chances to run the ball. The defense which has played well enough all season is led by Justin LaPlante and Wyatt O’Brien.

Airport has struggled to score as of late and are averaging less than 10 ppg in Huron League play. Junior RB Michael Foor continues to get a bulk of the carries for the Jets. The defense has been roughed up lately and still has the bulk of their schedule coming up.

Both teams are in need of a win. The Falcons are the defending league champs, but has lost two in a row. Airport had high hopes entering the season with a host of starters returning on both sides of the ball, but are staring directly at another possible 1-8 season.

  1. Wait Mossberg might not play? Well who will execute that highly effective play where he dives over the line 10 times a game and gets called for encroachment on 9 out of 10 of them?
Flag on the play – first down Falcons!

  2. Really 11:40. You have 1 WIN and you continue to single out players.

Who cares about any 1 player, TEAM, TEAM, TEAM. Maybe that is why you have 1 win.

  3. I feel a real barn burner coming on here! 8-6 victory by ???? Probably a horrible offensive game by both teams! Maybe I'll go watch Milan-GI game!

  4. Nothing better looking at all the airport hype in the preseason and now staring reality and 1-8 in the face. Bring on Les I mean Eric Redmond

    EM?? Grafton.. ?
