Still can't believe that GI didn't spike ball and kick field goal to win game Friday. And then Michigan loses on last second punt bobble.
Congrats to Riverview for making the playoffs. You boys played with a lot of heart and never gave up . To the GI team. Thanks for the exciting game. This was truly a nail biter right down to the last play. Also a big shout out to your student section. They came ready to support their team.
Very quiet on the island is right. Last night was an awful night. Devil's threw a pass on the one yard line rather than run. It was intercepted. Game over. They had some highlights though. #5 receiver was outstanding. Qb has nice arm.
Milan will be D-4. Look at Snooze if you don't think so. There's a better chance of Chelsea dropping to D-4 like last year, but don't see them dropping
I think this is more of an "all-in" game for Airport than a red flag for Milan. They've been solid all year and Airport seemed prepared for them. Airport is better than their record shows. I still expect Milan to make a decent run in the playoffs. Give Airport credit, they came out firing on all cylinders.

The development of the Jets Coaching Staff, and their offense utilizing the talent of the QB, #15 and RB's finally came together for a Half. Great to see. Although, Milan had a few bad calls against them in the first half, had a couple of undisciplined penalties, and Airport's offense showed us some things we have never seen from a Jets offense.
Hoskins and company demonstrated why they are the upper echelon of the Huron League and Region in the 2nd Half. Amazing adjustments at Half Time by Milan. The Big Reds and their speed (Barnes, Cortez and Lindeman) were just too much in the 2nd Half. Great to see a hard fought Huron League game like that though, and the Jets definitely demonstrated that their program has signs of life moving forward. Certainly did not look like a 1 win team playing Milan… Good luck to Milan in the playoffs.
9:16 what sense you make about it being a meaningless game they were 5-2 remember you need six to quailfy in playoffs and i tell you the athletes at a2 huron are better than theirs. Not a guaranteed win in a2. You say they were conservative on O but what about the D?

The game was pretty much meaningless for Milan. I'm sure they're not going to "open" the offense up much right before playoffs. I guarantee they call plays a lot different come the first round of playoffs.
Meaningless doesn't mean to lay down and not play.
#9 Dad, give me an honest assessment as to what is going on in Milan. I doubt they are only a TD in 2OT better than Airport and I dont think they are 30 points worse than SMCC. What gives?

BN I think they thought it would be a cake walk for them at AP. We just played bad the first half. The loss to SMCC, in my opinion got their head down a bit.
The one good thing about last night, they faced adversity last night so that proves they can win and make a play when needed.

Yes Coach Tom I saw the secondary get torched by #15 more than a few times. Airport isn't exactly known for their passing game.
Milan's defense got shredded for the 2nd straight week. If they don't shore that up they will be one and done in the playoffs.
Airport coaches called a very good game for the most part. They just got too conservative at the end. Milan was very flat, playing without passion for half of the game. They woke up when it was 22-0. Came on and showed some stuff. Ending was classic. Airport gave Milan all they could handle. Hats off to them. Milan, you are too one dimensional. Why not use some of those pass plays from OT in the first 4 quarters. Playoffs will demand a more well-rounded attack on the ground and in the air. Thanks both teams for a great night of football.

Jefferson-SMCC game ugly. Bears had 8 turnovers, played their worst game of the year. I'm sure SMCC played a part in that. #4 was everywhere, he is the offense.
Defense very good, read the bears plays well, bears stopped almost all of their own drives with turnovers. Personal fouls were mostly for swearing. Apparently these refs don't allow someone to swear when they are a little angry. Whatever. That's a little much.
I was impressed by the good sportsmanship(besides the swearing), kids on both sides helping each other up. Not as ugly as the flags would have made it seem.
Bears got some work to do. SMCC make the best of it while you can. Future numbers sound rough.

Wow and Milan think they can make a deep playoff run huh. Lets see if they even get a District Title D4 no joke on road. PLus they have to play a winless A2 Huron who has a couple of tricks up their sleeves. Congrats to SMCC for HLT 2nd straight year Go DEEP again!
They came back and played better offensively. They stepped up and made a play when needed. You can talk and say all you want but I'm very proud of the Milan boys. Airport always plays Milan tough and I tip my hat to them. That was a good team with a bad record. How they have only won one game is beyond me. That was a very exciting game and I'm glad I got to watch it.
Now I'm saying this with respect, you shouldn't degrade these teams just because your undefeated right now. You might lose a game that really matters.

38-30 Milan wins in double overtime. Airport fumbles on 1 yard line or this game would still be going! Milan was lucky to win tonight. Heart breaking loss for these kids from Airport. Congratulations to both teams for this exciting night of Huron League Football!

Riverveiw beat GI. GI threw a pick at the 2 yard line with 9 seconds left
Flat Rock was at one point up 20-6 with huron facing a 3rd and 20. huron goes double screen and they score a 40 yard TD. If flat Rock got that stop and went down and scored I think they would have won. It was 20-14 at half and huron took the second half kickoff to the house. So proud of my boys in the red and white!
21-20 riverview over GI. Last second interception by Riverview in the end zone. Took a knee to end the game.
Holy crap. Where the hell was this Milan team when Huron played them? Either that or Airport is REALLY showing their stuff tonight! Good luck in OT.

Huron lost their chance at the playoffs when they lost to Riverview. You need a 6-3 record for a sure win. And depending on what circumstances, I don't know, it's seldom that a team gets in at 5-4.
