Huron (4-1) is coming off of their biggest win in years after beating Riverview 24-20 while Jefferson (1-4) got their first win of the season by beating Flat Rock 35-14. Huron won last seasons game 48-34 and has won four of the last five in the series.
Jefferson got a much needed win last week and did so behind the strengths of QB Justin Kull. The defense was better last week against the Rams as they forced numerous turnovers.
Huron used the ground game effectively again last week with QB Matt Hartwick leading the way for the Chiefs. The defense was solid through three quarters before falling into a prevent most of the fourth.
Jefferson’s strength in the passing game appears to be something that could give the Chiefs some problems. Rain in the forecast may put a damper on that a bit for the Bears. Huron seems focused on a march to the playoffs. Prediction: Huron 31 Jefferson 14

Huron has been terrible for a lot of years and since they are pretty good this year, I'm sure that is exciting to watch.

I enjoy high school football, especially the huron league. I've coached players who curently play for SMCC, Jefferson, Airport and Monroe High.

If Hartwick isn't playing or half the starters are out then I will say its a 30-7 score, Huron.
I'm glad that Jefferson fans have hope but your team has done nothing for an unbiased, no dog in this fight type of onlooker, to suggest they are even remotely in the same ball park as Huron.

Let me suggest that winning with class is much better than winning while running up the score. Over the years Jefferson (Cisco) and Airport (Redmen) did things like kick on-side kicks when up 35-0 over Huron. It is my hope that Huron wins these next two games, and does so handily! But there is know need to lack respect for your adversary, we should win with dignity,and class.
