Nice backhand compliment. Don't really believe your comments O. Hard fought game held that powerhouse offense to 7 points on a kickoff return. Great comeback. They did not come unraveled. Coaches made great adjustments at half time and players showed great fight against a team that might win d5. We played a terrible first half and a great 2nd half. Good game to go into the playoffs with.
I'll be the first to admit I was wrong in my prediction. Good try Falcons, but it seems like they played quite a sloppy game, both discipline-wise and in their fundamentals. Injuries really, really hurt. I think they probably unraveled a bit since they haven't been in the losing position all season. That has a huge effect on the moral and decision-making of both the players and the coaches.
Hope that they can correct their mistakes, have a good week of practice, and prepare for the first round of the playoffs. Maybe heal up a bit, and find some people to fill the spots of those whose got injured. Good display of an elite team by LCC, I wish them the best as well.

There were a few bad calls during the SMCC-LCC game but that's not the big picture. The big picture is that SMCC played probably their worst game of the season. LCC is no slouch. They're the real deal. Poljan is a one man wrecking crew, and it would be a shame for that kid to play basketball instead of football. SMCC never was really out of it, though they played from behind the whole game. Stupid penalties, turnovers, poor tackling, poor blocking, injuries to key players, etc., killed whatever hope the Falcons had to win the game. The thing that irks me the most is that when the other team is flapping their lips at you, why do you have to retaliate and get your team a stupid penalty? Let them keep talking! Make them look like the idiots! Do your talking after the game! You DO NOT rip another players' helmet off, costing your team a 15 yard penalty, and the potential game winning score! Get your heads in the game Falcons! You may have lost this one, but it was winnable, and you let it slip through your fingers. This was your opportunity to finally have a challenge this season, and you blew it. Hopefully the team itself is not too decimated by injury to continue far into the playoffs. The underclassmen need to step up, but Giarmo needs to rely on his back-ups a bit more to keep his horses fresh.

For the most part, a good showing by the Huron League. GI and Huron very good and nice to see Airport come through. That tells you how good Tecumseh really was.

SMCC tough night. Hopefully they can bounce back. David can only take on Goliath so many times. Heard they had some injuries, hate to see that before playoffs.

Refs made a couple bad calls but I don't think it impacted the game. Smcc made a couple mistakes at the wrong time. Both teams are good. LCC quarterback is the real deal on both sides of the ball. Impressive win for Airport. Good luck in the playoffs Falcon !

Who are we referring to LCC lost last year to CC.
Poorly coached teams don't have back to back 9-0 seasons.
CC got homered in the 1st half and the refs tried to make up for it to make it not look so bad in the 2nd. That's part of High school football when you travel to another area and and its refs. SMCC made too many errors in the 1st half but made a game of it and had a chance to win it in the end.
Question is how are the 4 players that got carted off. I think 2 are out for the year, not sure on the other 2.
LCC is a good team and will make some noise.

Milan lost 42-26. It was a great game up until the 4th. Bad pass interference call. They were a descent team. We led at one point in the 3rd. Time to prepare for next year. Sucks we are done. Good job big reds. You played well.

Milan is young and poorly coached
Young yes. Poorly coached, no way. Those guys want the players to succeed in every aspect of the game. And in life. They are great coaches. They have took teams with little talent and went back to back and this year was not the year everyone thought we should of had. No excuses from me, our kids just didn't get it done in a few games. They played very well tonight. It's not on the coaches. I have all the faith in the world in them.

They might have less talent now. But other teams they played had more talent is what I'm saying. No one will ever agree with everything coaches do. I just don't think we played as a team the way we should have. And to me that's on the kids not executing plays. Too many turnovers, too many penalties and not enough depth. 2 out of the 3 they can work on. Getting kids to play is something else. I was hoping for a better season, everyone was, but it didn't happen. I do believe the future is bright and Milan should be looking for league titles the next few years.

Kanitz was the best player in the league both years they went undefeated. That is why they won.
It was more than just robert there where allot of very good player too everyone just stept up for 2years.the problem I see is that the jv team suffers because they bring underclass up too soon they did it with Robert and others even 9 although he is a really great player just look at the record of the jv team.the school has enough students where that should not be a problem
He was good. But there were 10 other kids on the field with him. Same coaches too. Same offense. Maybe Milan had a bit more talent in the past. Coaches are not to blame this year though. They will be a good football team next season and with out a doubt will win 6 games. They only lose 7 players and there will be a couple of kids off JV that will help out. They need to kid more depth though. 35-40 kids would be nice.
