Week One Stars

Here are a few of the standout performances from around the Huron League this week.

SMCC’s Justin Carrabino rushed the ball for 239 yards on 15 carries in the Falcons impressive 35-13 victory over Tecumseh.

Junior transfer (Ypsi Lincoln) EJ Medvecz of Milan led the Big Reds with 162 yards and 3 TD’s in their 26-21 win over Marshall.

Senior LB Phil Camilleri of Grosse Ile recorded 10 tackles in the Red Devils 47-0 thrashing of Annapolis on Thursday night.

Airport’s Dylan Meiring carries the ball an impressive 42 times for over 200 yards while scoring 2 TD’s in the Jets impressive 25-22 victory over Adrian.

Huron senior Devin Collins recorded an interception and had a 20 yards fumble recovery for a TD as the Chiefs hammered Summit Academy 49-8.

Junior transfer (Anderson) Eric Gant carried the ball for 80 yards and 2 scores in Riverview’s 41-15 victory over Garden City.

While there were few bright spots for Jefferson in their 29-0 loss to Ida, Bear senior Brandon Liparoto had 6 receptions for 37 yards.

Flat Rock senior DL Eric Antolak was a force on the Ram’s line during their 28-21 loss to Riverview Gabriel Richard. Antolak recorded 6 tackles which included 3 for loss.

  1. BN, you are right. Dylan and KB had monster holes created by Turner, Girt, Fitzpatrick and Woodley and hittem like work horses. Going to be fun watching the O-Line and those talented RB's this year.

  2. Kroll had a much better game than Gant for Riverview. 2 TD passes and 1 rushing. But I do see that you wanted to get the transfer thing in there.
