  1. Hey we got a SITOFN sighting, good to hear from you. Biggest problem in Airport's 2 losses is they are getting beaten up in the trenches. The playoffs are a longshot with such a tough schedule coming up. Airport does have enough talent to pull an upset or 2 this year. EM

  2. GI, View, Milan, SMCC all are in the hunt for sure.

Milan and GI can obviously score at will. I suspect the speed at Milan is for real, but beware the speed at GI, the island backfield can run too!

SMCC again has discipline in their attack…flash NO, but effective, YES.

View game showed something this week for sure…View is improving and Air has a big leaks this year. Air should be able to draw from largest student body in the HL…not sure what gives there??

GI D allowed first TD of the year on a fumble recovery runback to 2 yd line….yep, GI D for real but still awaiting a test. NOTE: GI game on running clock and reserves almost whole 2nd half.

Next week will tell us ALOT!

  3. I have to say I was extremely please to see GI's 2nd in the entire last half of the game. I graduated from a D1 school where, regardless of the score, they would have run FR up by 100+ points just to prove a point. GI would have certainly had a shut out, but instead allowed this to be a learning opportunity and gave the 1sts some much needed rest for the upcoming match against SMCC. Wow! #4! Pugh is a freakin truck! He ran over those defenders like they weren't even there. Great job GI. Focus, determination and the teamwork you have shown, along with your coachs' guidance, will certainly put you on top next week!

    1. As a HL fan I find it funny that CC fans are blasted by myself included when they continously let everyone know that they could have scored 100 and that their 2's were playing in the second quarter. Well GI you aren't getting a pass. We are so impressed with your dominate win against mighty Flat Rock! Thank you for not scoring 100, we all appreciate it. We consider ourselves fortionate to have such a classy program in the HL. Never though I'd say it but I'll be rooting for CC this week. I don't know about all of you but I've had just about enough from the GI fans this year, and it's only week 4.

  4. Welp, looks like Airport's Playoff streak is more than likely ending this season. Unless they can pull of a miracle and deafeat the most difficult teams in the league, Milan, GI, and CC and then everyone else.. Looks grim for the Jets..

  5. Chris,

I'm sure we can agree that Huron has quite the defense.. Just that offense needs to tighten up. Love them, but they have got to quit running with the ball backwards, losing yards, and making it harder on themselves. Should've been a much closer game, but CC saw tonight that not every team will be just a push over. Good game CC, you guys will go far in the League.

BTW: anyone not notice the count get switched at all the last 3 games? Whole lotta on one, but no go on 2+.. could help a team in need of easy yards if the defense isn't watching the ball snap. lol

  6. Milan very good tonite. I believe they are the team to beat. Many weapons and lots of speed. Definitely fastest team in league. They spread it out and all options will burn you. Oh and by the way, if pass doesn't burn you, Mr Lindemann will. Too many weapons, no other team has this. Watch and see.

  7. Riverview's D showed up and their offense followed with a great win over airport. Marcus Samuels and Josh Smith just tore apart airport's D.

  8. Chris, you missed the highlights. Thumbs up to Huron concessions! They grill their hot dogs with a nice tasty char … no boiling going on over there. Popcorn was buttery too and my daughter enjoyed the hot cocoa. As far as the game went, with the rocket arm of Huron's QB (displayed in the 4th qtr); I was surprised why they didn't pass all game … although I don't think it would have given Huron the win, but they might have scored. If they can clean up their game, they still might be able to finish in the top half of the league. SMCC showed that they are the team to beat … yes, they were very disciplined (as usual), but displayed some nice gang tackling defending the pass.

  9. SMCC/Huron game was boring. No big plays. SMCC ground it out. Very disciplined. Huron had a bad turnover at their own 5 yard line early in the 2nd while down 6-0. Chiefs have to find a way to score.

  10. Riverview 27 Airport 10 final. The 2 headed monster in the backfield was dominant. The most disturbing thing for Airport was getting manhandled in the trenches on both sides. EM
