Obviously it is early but I thought I would throw some early season picks on where teams may finish up overall this season. I’ve been wrong before and I’m sure I’ll be wrong again but let’s throw these out there.
Airport (5-4) Playoff streak comes to an end.
Flat Rock (1-8) The future is bright with Oestrike at the helm.
Grosse Ile (7-2) Red Devils poised for another playoff run.
Huron (5-4) Depth should lift Chiefs to winning season.
Jefferson (2-7) It will take time before the Bears return to glory.
Milan (5-4) Lack of depth hurt Milan playoff chances.
Riverview (7-2) Pirates bounce back from tough season
SMCC (7-2) Long playoff run depends on D5 or D6.
Fair enough. I agree, this season is shaping up to be the most competitive in recent memory. EM
I have them beating Adrian losing to Tecumseh then losing to either Riverview, Milan or Huron. Most likely Riverview. Quite frankly FR seems like the only gimmee for Airport then again that can be said about everyone else in the league except for SMCC and GI. Honestly, the league could be a complete mess with everyone being competitive.
I'm guessing you have Airport losing to CC and GI. Who else do you have them losing to Chris? EM
Done! Thanks for letting me know.
I can probably change that.
I love your picks, I would give Huron one more win and riverview, one more loss. The rest just about perfect. Oh, and I agree with 11:18.
SMCC is no higher than 3 in D6 or D5. Certainly Ithaca and Grand Rapids West Catholic are 1 and 2 in D6. GRWC returns a ton from a state runner-up in D5. And as most of us know Ithaca has won 100000 games in a row.
I would go with Flint Powers and Meno as 1-2 in D5. SMCC should fall into 3 in both those divisions.

Jeff, I think you will have SMCC ranked #2 or 3 in D6, GI ranked top 10 in D4 and possibly Milan or Riverview top 10 in D3. SMCC is legit but maybe a year away. GI has the best offensive player in the league. Unfortunately, Milan not having a JV team last season will hurt them. Riverview has great speed but I thought they had better personnel last season.
FR has some of their best athletes in decades with the 2016, 17 and 18 classes. That means they are very young so I suggested that the future is bright.
oh and having to prove we are not robots is PAINFUL!!
What makes you say the future is bright at FR other than you think the coach is a good coach? Do you base your comment on anything else?
I think your selling a few teams short. But you'll see why on our rankings, Flat Rock is the wildcard team it seems. They lost a ton but your comment on them is fitting, just don't know if it translates to Wins or close losses. I definitely wish I lived down there as Huron League, SEC, and Downriver all appears to stronger than usual.
I would not be surprised at all if the better teams are in D6 this year with the addition of GRWC, Clare and Lumen. SMCC is RIGHT ON THE BUBBLE. We shall see. They of course have to get to 5 wins first.
I agree with your Riverview prediction, they're really buckling down this year and also have a new offensive coordinator. You can definitely tell last year left a bad taste in their mouth.
