  1. I'm going to say an Our Father for all the unruly fans I heard/saw at Airport/CC game. Getting back to the old days, police presence and teams escorted to bus, hopefully doesn't get that bad. WOW!

  2. CYO is a great program, wish all the best players wouldnt think they were better than the rest and head for AAU sports . CYO is dying because of this. My son played CYO and did AAU after the CYO season, he is just as good as the ones who bailed on the CYO. What gives?? Another day and time for all that.

  3. Little known fact…the 2012 cc senior, never lost a huron league game in their 1st 3 years…but as with all high school sports, they fell flat their final year…anything can happen, stay focused and stay healthy!!!

  4. Yep,
We know about the 10 on Jv. Know those kids well. Many of these Jefferson kids have been playing against them for years, including SMCC's current sophomore varsity QB. It has built up quite a rivalry between the classes, should be some great Jefferson-SMCC football in the next few years. BY the way, those 10 were moved up part way through the season when JV started 1-3. Definitely helped out the JV, not all of them started, but they did make a big impact.

  5. I'm a Airport dad, I was at both Airport and Smcc football games yesterday! I must say I haven't seen a freshman(Smcc) team like that ever?

  6. I think the reason why we're all talking about CC's JV team is because of how well Airport's JV team has done and how many points they've scored. As much as I disliked (that's saying it nice) SMCC when I played them I do want them to get back on track. I like to see all Monroe County schools do well and hopefully win league titles. No offense to downriver people either.

    1. If u all remember Jefferson Jv team beat both teams last year. Now they r missing 9 kids. Three moved up to varsity and starting, the other six r hurt for the year. These 9 players r studs not just starters. I'm glad to see all these teams giving it all. It's funny it's like a five year swing on good to great players. Good luck to all our teams.

    2. That showes how bad the kids have been going into the program. U can't turn water into wine. Ever parent wants the best team but if the kid has no talent there's nothing coaches can do. That goes for all schools.

  7. I don't doubt SMCC has some pretty good teams coming up, so do many other schools, just dont hear them announcing it every week. You would be surprised how many cupboards are doing well.
Milan and GI are going to kick all our buts, doesn't matter anyhow. Different teams rise up every year, nice to see that.

    Nice blog, keep it up.

    1. What r school going to do when the parents run off all the coaches. Be thankful they put in the time cause most parents don't

  8. I'm an Airport fan and I'm saying how good CC is on here. Chris, why would someone even rip you on here? You give an honest, truthful outlook on everything on here. OTHER THAN THE WOLVERINES!! Lol!

  9. Wow, 6 of 12 comments on here about how good SMCC is. We should all just go home. I guess if we all just get on here and say how good our team is, then they are good. The teams that will surface don't need to declare how good they are ever week, just play.

  10. I appreciate you reading the blog and your input but please don't expect me to post that garbage. It won't happen! Criticize me all you want. It will never ever be posted on here especially if you don't man up and put a name on it.

  11. I think that when the cc freshman r juniors and the sophomores right now r seniors that will be a pretty good varsity team

  12. Always a different ballgame when you get to Varsity. Many teams out there looked good as Freshman and JV, but faultered at Varsity level. Even SMCC.

Many teams dont worry too much about Freshman and JV, save it for the big show. Airport will be tough next year and so will Jefferson, no matter whats in the cupboard.

  13. Jefferson freshman r off to a rough start. They had two injured play out for the year, and just lost three starters to the Jv cause of there injures. I see each week improvement in the kids.
