Friday Night Predictions

Airport 28 Tecumseh 13: This is a game the Jets should dominate but the Indians play a tough schedule and this may be a game.

Riverview 31 Algonac 18: The Pirates should be able to use this as a tune up game for the playooffs.

Grosse Ile 28 Dundee 27: Most likely the game of the night. The Islanders need to get back on track. Dundee could use a win to help them gain momentum for the playoffs.

SMCC 847 Windsor Assumption 0:Forfeit

Huron 21 Crestwood 20: Crestwood has been playing better as the season has gone on. This will be a much tougher test than expected.

Bedford 41 Jefferson 12: This game could get ugly but don’t be surpirsed if the Bears compete.

Flat Rock 28 Erie Mason 21: The Rams owe the Eagles from last season’s closer. Flat Rock cannot afford to look opast anyone.

South Lyon East 28 Milan 20: East plays a tougher schedule and will most likely end the Big Reds season on a sour note.

  1. Dundee will serve GI a "pound" cake! Another sad day on the island coming up.

    GI 49 Dundee 26.
    Enough said.

  2. Predictions, Predictions…way to rise above Bears…two weeks in a row! Can't wait for the actual score to be posted!
Bears 7 – Bedford 6…this is Bear Country…no Mules allowed!

  3. Hopefully new era will begin after tonite at Jefferson. Lot of good kids coming up, seem to fade at the higher level, hopefully a change at the top will make the most of the kids we have.
Rumors are very strong this year, we will see soon, if he retires, at least he will have a nice SMCC win under his belt this year.

  4. Every school should give themselves some praise when they have a successful year. Glad to see some parity this year, SMCC down this year, nothing wrong with that. Hear the whole apple cart has flipped over. Relax, it happens to every school.
Good luck to all who make the playoffs, enjoy it why you can

CC players will be selling cupcakes in the GI parking lot before the game. Proceeds will go towards rent on next years playing field. Come on out and show your support and enjoy some tasty cake on the island! (Warning…The Surgeon General has found that eating cake may stunt your growth)

This honestly the most stupid and idiotic post ive ever read. thank you for wasting 11 seconds of my life and attempting to make us all dumber. You must be a GI fan? clearly. you win 7 games and you guys are on top of the world. you didnt even win the league lol..and the league is not even good this year. sorry

  6. Dundee has a nice following and they will be ready to take on the Huron League. The LCAA is trying to earn some respect with this signature win.

I called this game out in week 1 as being a big game for both teams and I was somewhat ridiculed on the site. No way Dundee will hang with GI, were some comments. Well now even the site owner has come off those comments and has GI squeeking out a win.

I do believe GI will win the game but will their hearts be in it? It's probably not fair for me to ask that question but I am guessing the loss to View took the winds out of their sails a bit.

The weather will be fine, field soggy however, so I expect some points to be put up.

    35-24 GI

  7. I agree with the win for GI. White had a bad game against the view (fumbles, safety, etc) The line had a bad game (did not block for the running game). And the D was giving up too much in yardage (linebackers were playing too far back in my opinion). I give credit to Riverview of taking advantage of those three things. I doubt that will happen again. I say GI 35 Dundee 24

  8. Crestwood has won three straight against teams like Belleville. They have also played Fordson and Dearborn. Look for Crestwood to beat the doors off of Huron on senior night at arrowhead stadium.

  9. Cake….your ingenious comments are about as popular as the band that takes your name. You are a two hit wonder at best.

As the soup Nazi would say; "NO Soup (cake) for you".

GI will rebound, take a bunch of playoff points from Dundee and be playing at home round 1. It's stormy outside.

Strike up the band and get ready for a deep playoff run for the Devils….IF they play DEEEE.

  11. GI-Dundee game of the week for sure, Devils get back on track 35-27. Airport and Riverview most likely playing for a home game in the 1st round. EM

  12. Looks about right. I do not know that much about some of the non-league opponents. SMCC does not have a game, correct?
Is the Dundee /GI game going to be that close?
I agree with the FR/ Mason prediction. May be by a larger margin. FR plays a tougher schedule, and has lost a couple games close.

Good luck to all Huron League Teams this week!
