Keep in mind bn, GI completely shut CC down and had their starters pulled by halftime just like they did all but 2 games this season. So even if it was closer the outcome would of most likely been the same.
PS… half of the starters on the GI team were Freshmen too so the future of this "freshmen class" rivalry seems pretty interesting.
Food for thought…GI JV results broken down: -Score total for/against: 296/116 -Avg score for/against: 33/13 -Huron and View were lowest O output at 21 & 19 and also closest games. -Dundee is only team that scored over teens (22). -Avg total score less Huron and View result is almost 40.
9-0 with some lopsided spreads is what prompts my comments…Agree Huron and View were tight/good games.

The only ones who should spout an opinion on school of choice are the ones that pay taxes in that district. Of course a school of choice kid is going to be pro school of choice because he or she benefits from it. The Riverview Community School District has existed for 50 plus years just fine without school of choice, so quit the doomsday scenario. The bottom line is it hurts the athletic programs, making the school play up a division, when only a few of the kids on the team are school of choice. And Riverview was also a very good team before school of choice ever came around. It's sad that it's about greed and money now, and not about educating the kids in your own community. Just open the doors and let everybody in.

Allowing the kids to LEAVE THE CRAP districts and come to the better district's like Riverview is GOOD for the system as a whole, NOT bad!! School of choice sucks. You want to go to a certain school than move there. It is about community, etc. Comparing the Lions and college teams is stupid. They have nothing to do with home values, etc. They used to say when you bought a home, you look at school system first. Okay 8:34 poster: I am a recent graduate of Riverview and was a school of choice their my whole life. I had just as much (if not more) school spirit than most of the kids who lived in the Riverview district. So you saying that school of choice is ruining the spirit, is quite offensive and completely ticks me off. Who cares if they have school of choice. Get over yourself, they are in the league, deal with it. Saying the kids couldn't care less? Really? A LOT of SOC kids went to sporting events, played sports, and flat out supported the team. Big deal if you don't grow up with your teammates. Did the entire MSU team or U of M team grow up together? Did the whole Detroit Lions grow up together? No, but they play the game pretty damn well together. So don't go running your mouth about school of choice kids not caring. Because every single one I knew my whole life at Riverview did give a damn.
Nice thoughts on the school of choice but here is another reality. 1,076 students equals approximately 7.5 million dollars in extra revenue. Riverview Community School District would not exist anymore if it wasn't for that money. I would say that at least you are open and can offer some nice programs for your kids and a bunch of others from around the area.
Here is (in my humble opinion) an explanation for why Riverview stays in the Huron League with such a high enrollment. It blew my mind when I saw how ridiculously high the numbers are.
It's called School of Choice. And it sucks. There should be 650 to 800 kids in the school. Kids from RIVERVIEW.
Not sure what the exact numbers are for each grade, but the district as a whole is 1,078 School of Choice kids out of 2,746 total. THATS 39%!!!!! Which inflates the High School enrollment to 928 kids, out of which maybe 4 or 5 join the football team? if that?
It's bittersweet that I am moving back to Riverview now that I see the enrollment numbers. On one hand I can vote, but on the other hand my kids still have to go to school there. When I played in the mid 90's it was all kids I grew up with. School of Choice kinda kills that sense of school spirit and love for your community when almost half the kids don't live there and probably couldn't care less. All this for a few measly tax dollars, obviously none of which went into maintenance on the football field.
Airport has 16 SOC kids out of 2,725 total. < 1% Huron has 290 SOC kids out of 2,044 total. 12% Jefferson, zero SOC kids out of 2,064 total. Flat Rock 169 SOC kids out of 2,009 total. 8% Grosse Ile, 3 SOC kids out of 1,825 total. < 1% Milan 621 SOC kids out of 2,635 total. 24% , Kind of high also.
Cal Preps – GI 31 – Douglass 26 Massey – GI 34 – Douglass 27 Max Preps – GI 31 – Douglass 26
We know that the game needs to be won on the field, but I do believe that GI will pull this one off as long as the D holds up the whole game. Southwestern had the lead last week and gave up 28 points in the second half.
I say GI 35 Douglass 18 (they do not kick field goals – always try 2pt conversions)
The PSL-II teams are AWFUL. Yes Douglas is the best but they still arent much. Looks like they line up in a Power-I and try to run through you. Pretty sure GI has seen a power running game in the GL before.
so many haters on this blog. I hope GI wins the title. Wouldnt that be something? The league needs a representative to do something other than SMCC. That Airport loss killed me. The SEC gets to gloat about their 5-4 team beating the HL champ. GARBAGE!
Congrats to all the kids who played footbal this year, regardless of how your team did, at least you were out there playing. Too many kids staying at home playing video games and getting fat. Great job to all players this year on all Huron League teams.
What you can't explain is that the team that you support isn't paying right now. Why is that? You are probably from a division 3 school that could not compete within it's division. The two D3 teams did not win ….. sorry…. At DIV 4 GI is still playing. A win is a win even if it's against Milan. GI will reload next year with a good group of JV players moving up let alone the players that will be staying.
GI needs the support of the league while it is moving forward throug the playoffs. I will support them just as I would support your team whatever it may be if it was also in the playoffs. GO GI – Beat Douglas and move on through the playoffs. The Huron League does support you even though you may get a few that dont.
41-32 IS barely beating Milan. Especially if they are the "best team in the league" Milan is the worst, so if GI is soo good, why didn't they win by 20, or 30. AND why did they lose to two team who are apparently worse then them? Please explain…Oh wait, you cant.
Based on SITOFN's JV theory, Airport will win the league again next year based on JV results. Next year's Airport seniors went 9-0 on JV and that doesn't include 5 10th graders that played varsity last year.
I haven't seen the coaches all league team. They picked it but I believe they are waiting until after the playoffs. Thats just a guess.
JV did indeed have an undefeated JV team. Not sure if they toyed with the Huron League. I saw a pretty even game between them and Huron. GI will be pretty solid next season on varsity with quite a few athletes.
I'll throw out some early 2012 picks after GI's playoff run.
Careful, GI went to the State semi finals in 2004. They crushed Carlson in the 1st round, shut out a good Highland Park team in the District Final, beat highly ranked Marine City in the Regional then lost a tough game in the semis to traditional power Dewitt.
Chris….there's a flag on the field for "flagrant ignorance" of next years chances for GI and we need you to review the play.
This is the play: "chances are good you will be back in the bottom half of the league next year." 5:31 pm
GI tossed the red flag and need you to review: – GI possibility to have the best RB combination in the league. – GI has a QB in the wings that "TORCHED" the HL on JV. (reminder they were 9-0) – GI JV "toyed" with the rest of the league this year…again 9-0. – GI defense will continue to improve. Great talent returning. – Team speed and numbers are steady or improving.
you won one playoff game SITOFN take it easy. You beat a crappy psl team whose players are lazy and with no disicpline. They probably dont even practice. How good did GI do in the playoffs from 2005 to 2010? GI was one and done in 2001 and 02. They were also one and done in the 90's. Quit talking as if you are the early 2000's patriots. Your not all that. Quit ripping on airport all the time.
Was waiting on SITOFN to take a shot at Airport. Can't argue with your "One and Done" theory, however putting GI in the same class with SMCC is just stupid. CC is a D6 powerhouse (excluding this year), the last time GI made the playoffs your star players were in 5th grade. Enjoy your run, chances are good you will be back in the bottom half of the league next year.
im guessing the two novels on here were written by the same hater? thought so. tell me, genius, how was GI the only good team in the league if both airport and riverview beat them. two teams that are…down? oh ya, and riverview is D 3 not 4
So who is everyone going to watch this week? Airport is out. Riverview is out. Going to the hood to watch GI get killed by Detroit Douglas? Yeah right, I'll see you there. No one else is in from the Huron League. It is only the second round? Maybe go to Ann Arbor and watch Bedford get beat by Pioneer, or Wyandotte play Southgate. Football is not so good in these parts this year. Go Lions!!!!!!!!!
At the risk of HUGE FLAMES… Air does seem to have a "One and Done" habit in the playoffs…I'm just spit'n the facts of late.
That's OK though, SMCC and/or GI are good to get past the first week and give the HL something to cheer for. SMCC to the finals 2 years running is envious and not likely for GI, BUT YOU NEVER KNOW!
GI PROUDLY represents the HL and is open to all supporters (Wayne and Monroe County!!). We're all you got left, and we love a good party….come on in, the waters hot and the bubbles are on. Man this is a long way from 0-9… don't ya think!!
Everyone has to remember football, over a 9 game season, comes down to blocking and tackling. It really does not matter what type of offense or defense you run or how many times you pass the ball vs run. It always comes down to who can block and tackle better.
If your football team does not block and tackle well you can try and hide that by running an exotic type system. In the long run though your weakness will show and cost you.
It seemed that Airport was on a defensive tear this season. I had the feeling that something good was happening. As a fan I had the blinders on and wasn't looking at the big picture. Their last half of the season did not prepare them for the playoffs. Maybe the 2nd half of the Jefferson game was an indication of things to come. Coaches did prepare for what we saw from Adrian but the D and special teams let down. 3 picks were the only highlight. One poster mentioned the lack of creativity fron Barbers offense. It seemed like they only pass under despiration. It looks the same as Redmond's from 2 years ago.
The Riverview outcome didn't surprise me except for the final score.
Airport probably should have won that game but give Adrian credit for a nice comeback.
The GI result was expected. Kettering would most likely have lost every game in the Huron League
I'll have my thoughts on Douglas and GI later in the week. GI should approach this game as the favorite. They seem to havethe better team and the "Triple " will give the Canes fits.
There's no question the league was down a bit this year. If you watched any of the games there was some terrible football played. Now not to take away from all the blood, sweat, and heart these kids put into this season. Just because Airport and Riverview go 8-1 doesn't mean they are great teams and have a solid program this season as we seen Friday night. They just played some very down teams this season and came out on top. I was at the Airport-Adrian game and all season all I heard about was how good Airports D was and they couldn't stop a simple screen pass from behind the line for big gains the whole 2nd half. Not taking away from the season but look at Airport's playoff record. When they make it its usually 1 and out.
HAHA thats funny Chris… Hope I havent responded to any of my posts as another…
Jefferson-Bedford
without seeing the game it sounds like the obvious sandwich game. Jefferson fell inbetween a huge game with Monroe and the start of the playoffs. I am guessing the Mules had thier minds elsewhere and took Jefferson lightly.
Give credit to the Bears though, they took the game right from them at the end. Jefferson could have folded the tent prior to the CC game but as you can see clearly they did not. Give Cisco and his staff credit where credit is due.
7:58 poster has a short memory on Huron. Huron went 4-5. That is far from below its average over the last 20 years. Do a survey of Huron grads from the last 20 years and ask how many of them won two league games and had 4 wins. Ask how many of them have a win against Milan.
A little bit of hatred going on here today. What I find funny is when someone post something then reposnds to the post as if they were a different person before I am able to get the original posted.
Please remember that "fan" is short for fantical or fanatic. It applies to every team and league in the state of Michigan.
Nobody has explained how Jefferson was able to beat Bedford this season.
AIrport and riverivew should never leave the comfortable confines of the Huron League. Six wins gets you an automatic berth in the state playoffs. They are both division 3 teams that play a aschedule that includes; 1 – Div 6 school 1 – Div 5 school 3 – Div 4 Schools 2 – Div 3 schools They should be in the playoffs every years just on their league schedule. I am not aware of too many teams in the state that play that many schools smaller than themselves. I imagine what a Flat Rock or Huron or GI would do if they played all DIv. 5, 6 and 7 schools every year. They play a school their own size and they do not look so good anymore. I saw the Riverview game, it was terrible and they went 8-1 in the Huron League? Airport blowing a 2 score lead against a 5-4 team on their own field? And they went 8-1, and undefeated in the Huron League? I agree with the other poster, except for GI, they were all down this year. If Riverview or Airport played in the lower tier of the SEC or another similar league, with teams that are all their size, or bigger, I am not so sure they would have a winning record, much less make the playoffs. Huron League people need to get out and watch some other football teams and get a reality check. Why do you think Eric Redmond was so sure his Airport Jets would win 6 games each year? Becasue of him? No, it was becasue he knew what a soft schedule he has each year against mostly smaller schools. 6 wins is the ticket, lets see how they do when they get there. Can't hide for too long when you play schools your own size.
Wow – where are all the trash talkers at – did they overdose on Halloween candy?? All the haters need to put on their red and go out and support the Huron League as the Red Devils keep it rolling. I know that this poster dug out the green for the past two years and supported SMCC (sorry but green is not my color). Great year Airport and Riverview. Do us proud GI. Good luck to all the Huron League teams next year. Happy Halloween!
I am not jumping on the bandwagen, gut I willconfirm what I have said the entire season. The HR sucked this year. Period. Milan – Worst season in 27 years SMCC – Worst season in 11 years Jefferson – Tied for worst season in 19 years Flat Rock – Average to below average wins for past 20 years Huron – Average to below average wins for past 20 years. Riverview Good season against a weak schedule the popunding you took Firday by a decent DIv. 4 team proves that. Airport – Good year with a weak schedule- Losing to a 5-4 team the same size school as you. GI – Good year, you beat the worst playoff team I have ever seen. They were poorly coached and had not discipline. 3 flags on a KICK OFF? Come on. You are doen this week.
For thoses of us who know football. The league was at it's worst this year,. It sucked people.
I looked at the Douglass/Kettering game that is online at MHSAA TV. I do not see anything that great about Douglass. Grosse Ile should be able to compete with them. They do have a couple of good athletes, but again I do not see team discipline that is needed to win championships. I think that Grosse Ile will have their hands full for the game just based on size of the Douglass team players – but I also believe that Grosse Ile is in better "game" shape than the Douglass team. Grosse Ile is a lot more multi dimensional than Douglas. Again this will be a game that the GI D will have to step it up for. I am not too concerned about the O.
While I do agree that the SMCC part should have been left out he is very right about "The competition in the higher divisions is tough in the playoffs. No one has gone very far in the higher divisions out of our area in awhile" everyone besides CC that is.

The competition in the lower levels is just as balanced as the upper levels. There are only 3 teams who can win D1 DCC, DLS or Rockford. D2 is BBR or FFH. D3 is owned by EGR and OLSM. the lowers divisions are just as balanced and hard fought.
It's looking like Northwestern. It's only about a mile from Fredrick Douglass. The Canes played their game there last night. Easily the nicest field in the city of Detroit next to Ford Field and maybe Wayne State.
Every poster on this blog is correct, SMCC Sucks, Airport Sucks, Riverview Sucks, all coaches suck, and so does every player who has ever played for any Huron League team. The league is down this year and every year…Or could it be that we are a good, competitive league of smaller schools? And that we have a few fans from every school that like to run down hard working kids and coaches on the internet. Let's keep it classy
Airport couldn't stop the run against a poor running team. 3 picks but had no answer for the screen pass. Play of the game for Adrain was the 3rd and 20 and they got 19… then scored.
I need to blame the coaching staff for the following: Best kicker in the region – never kicked deep. Why? No answer for the screen pass. Why are you afraid to pass the damn ball? Your QB was on fire and your running game shut down. Your answer – the Waggle. Burn that damn playbook. You will never get out of the first round by riding Reds coat tails.
While I do agree that the SMCC part should have been left out he is very right about "The competition in the higher divisions is tough in the playoffs. No one has gone very far in the higher divisions out of our area in awhile" everyone besides CC that is.
I'm not sure where they play their home games but I'm guessing at Detroit Northwestern, which is, located at Grand River and W Grand Blvd. It is a beautiful turf field. They may play over at Detroit Southwestern, which is a grass field.
Montague, Constantine , Ithaca, nouvel, Hudson, mendon, mcc, oakridge, tcsf and others would wipe the floor with airport every year. I didn't want to go there but watch what you say about the lower divisions. They are much tougher then you think. Case and point, check your teams record vs the d6 team in your league. Keep it real in here people.
Directed torwards the 10:06 poster. For some reason he brought up SMCC when this should clearly be about the jets, pirates and red devils.
Airport came out after the half and intercepted twice and returned for scores. After that they laid down big time. Adrian did not look good at all. Ran the spread very poorly. Airport should have handled this game easily but let up way too soon.
Chris you said these were bad matchups for Airport and Riverview and I disagreed, how wrong I was. Airport looked to have things in hand up 2 TDs mid 3rd and having picked off Johnson 3 times. Then Adrian took to the ground and gashed Airport. Key play in the game was Adrian recovering onside/squib at Jet 30 yardline after cutting Airport's lead to 21-14. Tonight's results confirms the strength of the league this year. Congrats to Grosse Ile, go get a district title next week. EM
10.06 poster you are still putting down smcc, we won a state championship in class b How many have you won maybe 1 playoff game and how many of your younger kids play CYO football. Looks like you are just jelous so shut up and take your losses just like everyone else.
All you "league is down" chops seem to forget that GI is in the league. What do they have to do, win 75-12 or something…how about GI gets annexed into Monroe county! Will a playoff win matter then??…you chops are killing me.
GI Summary: – Kettering was a weak team and we should have beat them up…we did. – They had a few great talents (#2,3,5,55) with speed and could hit. – Kett D speed forced GI to run mostly inside the tackles early to find success, they did. Later they got wide when Kett was gassed. – GI was not able to outrun DB's for bombs, but timng patterns looked good and delivered. – Kett O was…well, sub-par. The QB could throw and they hit a TD pass, but that was it. Running game broke one play….bottled-up after that. – GI D gave up 6….say it again 6! it was the first drive of the game and GI shut them DOWN after the wake-up call. DEEEE-Fence. – GI O was not it's best, good but not razor sharp. Running attack was by committee and productive and a few nice tosses, but GI seemed off balance a little bit. Again, good just not great.
For Next week: GI O will need to be great to stay alive in the playoffs….they'll deliver and I pity the team that gets 'em when all cylinders are firing. (ask Dundee)
GI D will need consistency and a little more of that mean streak that showed up tonight….still need 11 hats to the ball boys, EVERY PLAY. Again Very Good, now we need GREAT.
Where's sitofn? Where are all of the cake eater questions? Hey Monroe, lets hear it! Chris, since Douglass beat Southwestern, where will the game be held? I read that their field was deemed unplayable before the season started.
The competition in the higher divisions is tough in the playoffs. No one has gone very far in the higher divisions out of our area in awhile. SMCC would not go far at all in the division Airport competed in. I know its based on enrollment, but when you can take kids from all school districts, there should be exceptions.
That ribbon will look good in the weight room reminding us all year long Thanks for the compliment we needed that pick me up from some nobody that probably thinks they could do better or would have called better plays.. just keep practicing your line for work tomorrow
Where is all the smack from No. Monroe Co.? HL is down this year, and the showing v. SEC is proof positive. No one in the last 5-10 years has been able to "put up" in the playoffs but SMCC. Guess all there is left is to shut up.
My thoughts have been confirmd. league is down just like I've been saying all season long. League champ airport loses to 5-4 adrian team who looked smaller than flat rock. Runner up riverview gets rolled by berkley edwards and company.
Good job to grosse ile however. First playoff win in 7 years I think.
Keep in mind bn, GI completely shut CC down and had their starters pulled by halftime just like they did all but 2 games this season. So even if it was closer the outcome would of most likely been the same.

Some would argue that Airport wasn't any good in football until the trailer parks started popping up in the Airport district.

That thought is about as pathetic as the Airport people cryuing that none of their trailer park kids play sports.

Too many kids staying at home playing video games and getting fat. Great job to all players this year on all Huron League teams.
Anonymous 12:25 AM
What you can't explain is that the team that you support isn't paying right now. Why is that? You are probably from a division 3 school that could not compete within it's division. The two D3 teams did not win ….. sorry…. At DIV 4 GI is still playing. A win is a win even if it's against Milan. GI will reload next year with a good group of JV players moving up let alone the players that will be staying.
GI needs the support of the league while it is moving forward throug the playoffs. I will support them just as I would support your team whatever it may be if it was also in the playoffs. GO GI –
Beat Douglas and move on through the playoffs.

Hey Anonymous: Score was 41-32 GI – I'd say that it is NOT "barely" – enjoy your year in the basement!
GI barely beat Milan. Red Devils back to the basement in 2012.
No 12:50 the best team in the league lost to Adrian last Friday.
Based on SITOFN's JV theory, Airport will win the league again next year based on JV results. Next year's Airport seniors went 9-0 on JV and that doesn't include 5 10th graders that played varsity last year.
As expected the best team in the league is still playin…rams
GI tossed the red flag and need you to review:
– GI possibility to have the best RB combination in the league.
– GI has a QB in the wings that "TORCHED" the HL on JV. (reminder they were 9-0)
– GI JV "toyed" with the rest of the league this year…again 9-0.
– GI defense will continue to improve. Great talent returning.
– Team speed and numbers are steady or improving.
Chris…we look forward to your call.
Quick reminder….GO DEVILS, Beat the Canes!!!!
SITOFN
post the coaches all league chris
you won one playoff game SITOFN take it easy.
Enjoy your run, chances are good you will be back in the bottom half of the league next year.
im guessing the two novels on here were written by the same hater? thought so. tell me, genius, how was GI the only good team in the league if both airport and riverview beat them. two teams that are…down? oh ya, and riverview is D 3 not 4
WOW…….October 31, 2011 2:19 PM
You have got to be the BIGGEST moron around! Sounds like you have a bit of SOUR GRAPES because your team didn't do their job!
GO DEVILS – show those doubters that you are NOT the league doormat!
BEAT THE CANES!!!!
Guilty of Twistin' the knife a little ;-] …SITOFN
what about the all HL teams? still havent seen those
GI should have fun against a 6"1 320lb kid who gets a few carries a game. No stopping him on the goaline
You cant polish a turd

I have to agree with 11:11
It seemed that Airport was on a defensive tear this season.
It looks the same as Redmond's from 2 years ago.
dont confuse cn with -bn
-bn
When they make it its usually 1 and out.
cn
I am obviously not an Airport fan but was rooting for them last Friday for sure. Tough loss for them and the league.
-bn
HAHA thats funny Chris… Hope I havent responded to any of my posts as another…
Jefferson-Bedford
without seeing the game it sounds like the obvious sandwich game. Jefferson fell inbetween a huge game with Monroe and the start of the playoffs. I am guessing the Mules had thier minds elsewhere and took Jefferson lightly.
Give credit to the Bears though, they took the game right from them at the end. Jefferson could have folded the tent prior to the CC game but as you can see clearly they did not. Give Cisco and his staff credit where credit is due.
-bn
Chris, Any other thoughts on the Airport and Riverview loss and the GI win?
What is your prediction on the GI game this week?
Six wins gets you an automatic berth in the state playoffs. They are both division 3 teams that play a aschedule that includes;
1 – Div 6 school
1 – Div 5 school
3 – Div 4 Schools
2 – Div 3 schools
They should be in the playoffs every years just on their league schedule.
Period.
Milan – Worst season in 27 years
SMCC – Worst season in 11 years
Jefferson – Tied for worst season in 19 years
Flat Rock – Average to below average wins for past 20 years
Huron – Average to below average wins for past 20 years.
Go Devils! – A Huron League Supporter
GI is the lone wolf. I'm an airport fan but i hope GI does well.
I root for all the huron league teams in the playoffs. Except SMCC of course.
Mighty quiet on the board since the losses. I suggest that we all root Grosse Ile on as they are the only team in the league that still has a chance.
bn,
While I do agree that the SMCC part should have been left out he is very right about "The competition in the higher divisions is tough in the playoffs.

-bn
GI gets to face the team who ndamukong suh and jehvid best bought equipment for. (props to them).
BTW I know we dont talk about college on here but The stanford USC game was one heck of a game eh. Just got done watching that slugfest.
Who fumbles at the end of the game like that, seriously people.
HIGH AND TIGHT, CARRY THE BALL HIGH AND TIGHT.
Yeah Chris, Douglass plays at Northwestern. A friend of mine is Douglass Dline coach and he just informed me. EM
It's looking like Northwestern. It's only about a mile from Fredrick Douglass. The Canes played their game there last night. Easily the nicest field in the city of Detroit next to Ford Field and maybe Wayne State.
count it on the flo
devils
GI is confident, not cocky. They'll get cocky when they win the HL…..although a nice run in the playoffs might open a can of "I told you so".
They get Detroit Douglass next.
Chris…do we know yet what field?? I heard Detroit NW'tern but I'm not sure.
Like the title says, "pound for pound one of the best leagues in the state".
I don't see why everyone is so surprised… Chelsea went undefeated in the SEC, Adrian was supposed to be a close game, and Grosse Ile won as expected.
Grosse ile is getting pretty cocky. Who do they play next?
Airport couldn't stop the run against a poor running team. 3 picks but had no answer for the screen pass. Play of the game for Adrain was the 3rd and 20 and they got 19… then scored.
I need to blame the coaching staff for the following:
Best kicker in the region – never kicked deep. Why?
No answer for the screen pass.
Why are you afraid to pass the damn ball? Your QB was on fire and your running game shut down.
Your answer – the Waggle. Burn that damn playbook. You will never get out of the first round by riding Reds coat tails.
bn,
While I do agree that the SMCC part should have been left out he is very right about "The competition in the higher divisions is tough in the playoffs.

Go Gi Devils. Go Devil
Seniors.
Cake eaters 1 – Rest of Huron League 0
Airport came out after the half and intercepted twice and returned for scores. After that they laid down big time. Adrian did not look good at all. Ran the spread very poorly. Airport should have handled this game easily but let up way too soon.
cn
GI Summary:
– Kettering was a weak team and we should have beat them up…we did.
For Next week:
GI O will need to be great to stay alive in the playoffs….they'll deliver and I pity the team that gets 'em when all cylinders are firing. (ask Dundee)
GI D will need consistency and a little more of that mean streak that showed up tonight….still need 11 hats to the ball boys, EVERY PLAY. Again Very Good, now we need GREAT.
His royal Giddyness; SITOFN
Where are all the Grosse Ile haters at tonight ??
Where's sitofn?
Where are all of the cake eater questions? Hey Monroe, lets hear it!
Chris, since Douglass beat Southwestern, where will the game be held? I read that their field was deemed unplayable before the season started.
School of choice
wheres SITOFN? I imagine he is pretty giddy with what GI did.
I warned THE View about Edwards looked very FAST on a muddy field .
The competition in the higher divisions is tough in the playoffs. No one has gone very far in the higher divisions out of our area in awhile. SMCC would not go far at all in the division Airport competed in. I know its based on enrollment, but when you can take kids from all school districts, there should be exceptions.
Good Luck to Grosse Ile.
I think the games tonight puts to rest the question of the league being down.
That ribbon will look good in the weight room reminding us all year long
Thanks for the compliment we needed that pick me up from some nobody that probably thinks they could do better or would have called better plays..
just keep practicing your line for work tomorrow
"Would you like to super size your meal"
Where is all the smack from No. Monroe Co.? HL is down this year, and the showing v. SEC is proof positive. No one in the last 5-10 years has been able to "put up" in the playoffs but SMCC. Guess all there is left is to shut up.
Congrats on a great season Riverview and Airport. WTG Islanders and good luck. 9:10 poster, classy comment.
Congratulation Airport…enjoy your participation ribbon.
Jets blew 14 point lead
Come on airport!!!!!!
