    Road games?

  3. I saw CC's highlights on state champs and I wasnt very impressed with them, I also wasnt impressed with plymouth as well. That fox kid looked slow, cc's defense looked slow and the white pants with the green jerseys looked awful.

  4. Dang the poster from 9:25 beat me to the punch. He's right though, most of cc's yards came against the backups. The game wasnt close at all.

  5. Read the article about the smcc/plymouth game in the Evening News and it said that smcc picked up 15 first downs and rushed for 318 yards. I don't think thats to bad if you ask me. Quick turnaround for them though playing Huron on Thursday. Good luck to both teams and the rest of the league this season.

  6. I don't thimk the dad of one of those shof. "really good" players" was watching the same game as everybody else!

  7. To me, for cc, running the table in the Huron is about as tough as winning 4 straight playoff games in d6. Would u agree?

  8. Your reasons are solid Chris but this team is deeper than last and has 2 excellent sophs. They will be better on defense and the offense will come around. I will stand by what I say Chris, this team will be very hard to beat in league play as well as d6. Would it surprise you Chris if cc ran the table and made a 3rd straight trip to ff?

  9. BN, I appreciate your football knowledge and passion for CC but your kidding yourself if you think this team has a chance to be better than last season's team.

The last two years CC was good enough to win the state championship but was unfortunate enough to run into two Division I college QB's at the state division VI level.

The experience and speed of those teams cannot be replaced or matched by this years squad.

With that said BN, CC is still the favorite to win the league for a third straight season.

  10. CC alum, if you saw the game I saw, you saw a team way overmatched in every area. Let's not make excuses. If people want to make statements about how we got handled.. Let them, because we did. If you saw the game I saw then you should too realize we will make a lot of noise come league time, starting with huron Thursday night.

I think this team has a chance to be better than last year. Those are my true setiments. I am sure a lot of folks took great pleasure in cc getting pounded by Plymouth. Its league time now, and well, it's time to pay the piper.

Good luck to all the league.

  11. Nobody is kissing CC's a$$ except themselves.

The fact of the matter is that CC played Plymouth because they got paid to be there. The Showcase generates money and everyone gets some.

CC played a team that they had no business playing because the athletic department/football program saw the dollar signs.

CC fans also got to see the difference between division 1 and division 6.

  12. Airport played a huge school too. How come nobody is sucking up to them?

Jeez I swear its like CC put a spell on the people in this league. Why is everybody kissing there a$$ all the time. They dont respect you, they dont deserve yours.

  13. Let's not get carried away. Plymouth is bigger, better, faster stronger than SMCC. Let's see how they fair against Huron. If they can contain Huron's QB Crespi, they should do alright. This will not be a walk in the park though.

  14. I do not think that anyone in their right mind would bash CC for this game. They were playing a huge school. Just stepping onto the field against a team like Plymouth says a lot about the program.

  15. SMCC playing way up in game 1 sure hasn't hurt their ability to dominate the league and earn a drive north to Ford Field!!!

If it ain't broke don't fix it….only change if kids were getting hurt, which they're not.

The Falcons will be mad, hungry and certainly "coached up"!

  16. I'm not sure how playing a team that could have named the score on you makes any sense especially since you graduated virtually every starter from the previous season.

Start searching now for opponent for next season's opener. That game just made no sense. Spin it anyway you want people. The game was not close. It was a blow out. Nothing to gain from that game.

  17. They were losing 46-6 when I left. Before people bash CC think about who they're playing. Plymouth is ranked 7th in all divisions and were the runners-up in D1 last year. I don't care how good of a team you are, D6 will not match up.

SMCC needed a game, Plymouth needed a game. This is intended to keep the players of CC grounded…to show them that they aren't "all that" and to keep their egos in check. Also, how much easier will it be to move lineman in the huron league after they faced a couple D1 college recruits at Plymouth?

Everyone stayed healthy throughout the game so SMCC did a good job there. They will still be strong in the Huron League no doubt. Now that they've played one of the biggest and better teams of the state, everything else won't seem nearly as difficult.

Keep your heads up Falcons, Thursday at Huron won't be easy.

  18. plymouth is up 20 to zilch right now. CC's offense is not effective for coming back from behind. That is the major flaw of that power T type offense that they run.
