  1. Riverview had far from a poor scrimmage? they dominated Trenton and slugged it out with CPA. They lost to Bedford, who dominated the entire scrimmage, so they didn't by any means have a poor scrimmage. but yes, 7-2 is unrealistic 5-4 or 6-3

  2. Must be a Pirate saying that 🙂

We know they have one eye and now quite possibly half a brain to go with it.

  3. 3-6 to 7-2 in one year. Riverview was only out of 1 game and that was Airport. They lost 4 of the game last year within 1 touchdown. The Pirates were a good football team last year but did not know how to win. My prediction is more like 5-4 or 6-3. I think they can beat Crestwood, Huron, Flat Rock, GI and Algonac. That is 5. Airport is "down" according to most: that make 6. They will have to beat CC, Jefferson or Milan to make it 7-2. It is possible, but I am a realist. I say Riverview is 6-3.

  4. I do like that fact that you agree with me that Jefferson will be very solid. It does make me feel better about my pick. I had them at 5-2. Some folks on here think the Bears will be also rans at say 3-4. That could happen due to the fact that maybe other than SMCC the next 5 teams GI, Riv, Jef, Air and Milan could all beat on eachother thus keeping them all at maybe 3-4 wins. The league is very balanced in my opinion. Will make for a fun year. No gimmies this year at all. Even Huron will probably surprise somebody, maybe even the youthful Rams.

  5. yes I can add 🙂 Based on last year, yes Riv can hang with CC due to their D and Jefferson always plays CC tough. It is a tough start for CC, I think Giarmo will have them ready. Remember they did lose their last game. They will be motivated.

  6. Looks like you did you math well:) I think Jefferson and Riverview are both capable of winning against the Falcons. Cisco has had good success against CC and Riverview can defend the run.

I think SMCC is going to be dynamite this season but I think it may take some time. Look where these two teams fall on the schedule. Hardly the easy early season schedule of years past. Dare I say the Falcons could start 0-3? I don't think that will happen in a million years but 1-2 isn't out of the question.

  7. Judging from how poor their scrimmage was I guess we will let this one prove itself out. 3-6 to 7-2 in one year…?
