^ teen's scout page, has his actual size and forty time

    ^ tyler's page.

Both can play ball at the next level for sure. It says 190 for tyler and Teen it says 174, but that weigh in was last april so he could of grown and tyler could have grown as well. Its not like Tyler would be playing linebacker in college and same with Teen playing running back, they both would have position changes. and the post about Teen having GVSU eye isnt a lie either. Theres an article about his recruiting. Best wishes, those boys will definitely represent the huron league well.

  2. I know Weclowski has been invited to Toledo friday for a visit and then the game.I think he may be to small for D1 even thow it,s Toledo. In less there thinking 2 years down the road.I hope the best for Teen and Weclowski. They are both a little under size But both play with so much heart.

  3. Where in my post did i say dex was to short.I was talking about his weight.I have looked at all the rosters what your not seeing is there 40 time.Them smaller kids you see on the roster run 4.5s.If dex had a good 40 time like that then he's all set.But as far as your other comment please cut it out.If smolen is fast, big, and has good grades great. But they are not going to take him because they got a good kid from there before LOL.Like i said it,s about size, speed, and grades.

  4. Im pretty good at this and Teen is to small for GVS.Adrian or some other D3 schools.Beleave it or not schools pick players by body size and speed and grades.

  5. manchester would beat GI by 20. SMCC is playing great and is much better than they were in the regular season. That was practically the same Manchester team that should have beat smcc last year but dropped it 18-14. Manchester GI would not even be a game.

  6. i am the one that left the comment about smcc being away. i thought that was the MHSAA rule that the odd regional winners were home and wear dark uniforms. smcc is in a even region, region 4. here is what i found on the MHSAA under the tournament managers tab:

    Uniforms
(All dark and light jersey colors may be switched if mu-tually agreed upon by the two competing teams.)
Pre-District and District Games — Home teams (teams with the highest playoff average) are to wear dark co-lored jerseys and the visiting team light colored jerseys.
Regional Games — Home teams are to wear dark co-lored jerseys and the visiting team light colored jerseys.
Semifinal Games — Home teams (teams from Region-als No. 1 & 3) are to wear dark colored jerseys; visiting teams are to wear light colored jerseys.
Final Games — Winners at the Semifinal level from the Region 1 & 2 games will be home teams and wear dark co-lored jerseys. Winners from the Semifinal Region 3 & 4 games will be the visitors and will wear light colored jerseys.

  7. I think those mentioned players could see playing time at many D2 teams easily. Have you ever seen a Findley, Northwood, Ferris, or other GLIAC teams play? These guys would do well.

  8. Thanks for answering HLfootball. I agree with you, some may go higher, but probably won't play that much. Most people probably won't believe this, but its true. This summer Lovell had some interest from a D1 school, all be it a MAC school, but still. Western Michigan went to SMCC this summer and wanted to look at his grades, which aren't a problem. Just thought I'd share that Western showed some interest. Adrain might be a good choice for him considering they have a hockey team too.

  9. Should other teams in the Huron League duplicate SMCC's offense?

Yes!, they have the best offense in the league and it is carrying them to what looks like a state championship run.

Looks Good!, cant wait for all the Huron League sports info to be in one spot..

How many Huron Leaague seniors will be playing college football next year? I say 4..

    Teen, TJ Lovell,Tyler Weclowski, Box

When do most teams start preparing for next season?

If they were smart the day after they did not make the playoffs.

Do most league coaches encourage their football players to paticipate in track and field?

They should be doing track/field plus other conditioning year round.

How soon until Riverview is relavent?

    2 more years

Can Grosse Ile find a way to replace Dex Teen?

Yes, just like every other team replaces players that graduate. He is good, but there are plenty of good players on GI and more will be coming up.

  10. SMCC is the away team. I believe for the semi-finals the teams that won the odd regions, regions 1 and 3 are the home team. SMCC was in region 4. I believe thats how it works.

  11. I see Lovell playing at an Adrian or another DIII school. I see Weclowski probably doing the same depending on what his 40 time is. Teen will probably play DIII. His size may limit him but speed won't be a problem. I'm assuming Box will play somewhere. Most likely DII or III. Stockert may get picked up by a DIII school to play tight end.

  12. Huronleaguefootball, who do you think will get college offers? I'm going to guess Teen, Weclowski and TJ Lovell. There may be others, but those are my guesses.

  13. For colleges I'm gonna say Dex Teen (GI), TJ Lovell (SMCC), and Tyler Weclowski(NB Huron). There may be others. I know for sure Lovell has, it just depends on if he wants to do hockey or football.

  14. I'm in the process of sorting out the logistics.

I have ideas for student writers and participation from the coaches and AD's.

If people want this. I think there will be cooperation and it will heppen. If not, it won't happen.

Much will depend on advertising and if people are willing to pay for it. I can prove the traffic based on this blog. Cost per impression would be less than half the cost of a business card.

    We'll see what happens.

  15. teen is a great talent, there is not a single player on the devils right now that can "replace" him. thank god football is a team sport eh? the devils had five or six players on varsity that averaged six yards per carry or better this season. not to mention the passing game which can only improve upon last year with the quarterback and two or three top recievers returning. the JV player, #27 also has some speed with a great downhill running style. GI will miss teen's big play ability next year, but it will definitely be an afterthought.

  16. SMCC has always ran a run based offense.

Wouldn't the T be a great offense for Huron?

They could run it at every level. They could spend 75% of their practice time blocking and tackling.

There would be less opportunity for error. They could easily get the ball to their best players by simply handing the ball off.

Is it safe to assume that Huron has the biggest offensive playbook in the league? They could spend half of the time on offense and then focus on defense which always seems to be their achilles heel.

  17. I meant Catholic League schools that play in the same division of the Catholic League somehow manage to avoid each other until a possible matchup in the finals. Sorry about that.

  18. SMCC is 35-11 vs non-league opponents since 2000… they are successful because they are good not because they run the T. They were dominant for many a year before they even ran the T.
