playoffs for milan arint looking soo good riverview put the hurt on them if you where at the game you would know milans backs where getting hurt out there friday and if belleville comes out and hits they will win
Manchester is in the Cascades League? which looks like a few teams from Jackson, grass lake, not sure of the competition. Manchester always seems to have a pretty good regular season and the struggles in the playoffs (kinda like Airport). SMCC has met them twice since 2005 in the playoffs and has beaten them both times.
Manchester plays in the Cascades conference. Their biggest win so far is over Clinton. Clinton's only loss was to Manchester. Manchester also beat 5-3 Grass Lake, 5-3 Addison and 5-3 Michgan Center. Manchester close with Hillsdale.
If you remember SMCC beat Manchester last year 18-14. I believe the Falcons trailed late in that game 14-6.
according to that snooze website smcc is #1 and manchester is #2. According to the last update smcc has 79.714 playoffs points and manchester has 73.143 playoff points. This does not include yesterdays weeks game. it could very well come down to the last game of the season to see who gets the number 1 seed.
Right now Airport is 2, adrian is 1 and chelsea is 3. 1 Adrian (6-1) 81.286 2 Carleton Airport (6-1) 80.714 3 Chelsea (6-1) 80.714
this is a very close race also. chelsea lost to AA pioneer 45-9
What league is manchester in? Do they face tough competition?
http://www.snooze2you.com/index.htm this site has a pretty good track record on predicting the playoffs in the past, right now SMCC could have 1 or 2 home games unless they lose to DDC next week but it looks like Manchester is top dog in that region. Airport caught a break because Chelsea lost this weekend, they should have at least 1 home game, possibly 2, looks like Adrian will be top dog in that region. Milan will be on the road for sure if they beat Belleville, that is. Nothing is set in stone; the MHSAA has the last word.
I was a little stunned by the Milan game, I thought they would take care of business to clinch the playoff berth. Don't get me wrong, they will still make the playoffs, Belleville is an awful team scheduled for the purpose of a guaranteed win. But give credit to Riverview, they have been a tough team and should be good next year.
Congrats SMCC, outright champs in this league is pretty impressive, there is a reason is hasn't happened the last few years. They have been very good this year, and have a chance to go deep in the playoffs.
Airport also has a chance to go deep. If they win next week, they have a chance of getting 2 or 3 home playoff games for the first time since 2002. Chelsea and Adrian match up well but evenly, and we've seen they have the ability to beat Milan no problem. If they can play with some passion they have a chance to make school history.
I don't know what happened to Huron, but this has been pretty brutal. I wonder what Cisco would do if Jefferson could go back and replay that game. Probably get rid of Oley before the game begins, but that is another story. Huron is a team that flat out gave up this year, and ruined probably their only chance to ever make the playoffs. I don't know whether to blame coaching or players, but they all should be highly disappointed with themselves.
ok thank you…so far correct me if im wrong but the only lineman to get the MEN player of the week has been Aiports Klocek and Kitts and SMCCs gaurd im not sure of his name but i bet thats a great start to the list.
What happened to Milan, Riverview smacked them, thats what happened. Riverview is a much better team than their record shows. Anyone who has been following them knows that all their games were fairly close and could have went either way, even the game against League Champs SMCC. The good news in all this is that ALOT of Riverview starts will be back next year to win the Huron League!
chris, now that the league season is over how did you on your predictions?? you are obviously right for the first two. SMCC 1, than Airport at 2. what about the others?
hey HL just had a thought maybe this week you could do a blog about the leagues best O lineman? i dont know i just think itd be cool to see who you think are the best all around lineman. Just a thought you dont have to go with it. Good job to all the winning teams tonight…but what happend to milan :/
Great game for the Pirates. After Milan returned the openeing kickoff I thought that they were in trouble. They stuck to a game plan and took it to the Big Reds. First home win since 2007. Way to go Riverview!!!
to bad oley ran and threw for a td agaainst huron

If you rent your apartment or house, isn't it still your home? Rented or not, there's no place like home.
SMCC dosen't have a chance for any "home" games in the playofss, because they don't have a home field. They rent one.
are those 5-3 teams you mentioned good? again i don't know much about them so i am just curious.

does smcc have a chance to get 2/3 home playoff games as well?
Belleville 59 Crestwood 21
Crestwood 21 Riverview 20
Riverview 28 Milan 6
Belleville ? Milan ?
I know football is a game of match ups but Belleville is no gimmee for Milan.

anonymous, i believe milan can still make the playoffs. they are 5-3 i believe so they have to win next week.

Riverviews win over Milan knocks them (Milan) out of a playoff berth, right?
Hey HL, could you look at the corners and what do you think the top 4 or 5 in the huron league are?
I plan on focusing on the lineman in the coming weeks. It's going to be hard because I don't watch the games like a coach. I watch them like a fan.
I will do my best do recognize the linemen. They don't get much credit. I have identified a handful and will build from there.
I plan on doing a comparison between my picks and actual finishes. I know I nailed the league records for SMCC, Airport and Flat Rock

what happened to milan and huron???
thats it… the debate for coach of the year is over… Giarmo wins, it has to be.
