  1. Hip, Hip, Horray for Korody's Mom!!

Well said, no mistake about allegence, positive commments about football and NO EXCUSE MAKING or HATING.

I'm a little surprised that Huron has the "GI HATER" bug, but I suppose there are all kinds in all places. If any team in the HL could use a massive dose or PMA (Positivie Mential Attitude) it would be Huron.

And to "Talk about elitist", PLEASE sign your posts so we know when to skip over them and not waste precious time reading trivial, sniviling garbage. (aka "Rustoya Hate" comments)

And before you start flaming me, please read my posts concering Huron and it's players….you will find very positive comments and WILL NOT FIND HATE FROM ME…but I will definetly call out negative, sour-grape, hateful bloggers.

  2. Korody's mom here. I don't have to hide behind "anonymous"..Obviously some people are assuming I have been writing some of these other posts as "mom" is being accused of "judging" others kids. Sorry to disappoint, but that wasn't me…
Thank you to those with kind words. My son, like all the other young men playing on HL teams, goes out and gives it his all every Friday night. I couldn't be prouder of him…or of all his teammates AND competitors.
I have been a football Mom for nine years now, and have made many friends from all over this league. Football is a great sport. It requires individual effort, unwavering dedication, and teamwork. It builds character in the players like no other sport.
It is unfortunate that many of these bloggers don't have much of it themselves…This blog should be a place to discuss football and to celebrate our young athletes and their accomplishments, not tear them down anonymously from behind computer screens.
So, good luck to all on Friday night…We have one game left to cheer our guys on! Let's show these other teams some Huron League football. 🙂

  3. I think you should have minded your own business.Worry how you can help your son have more then durability. And less about how good of a season someone else is haveing.

  4. Mind my own business? I was paying him a compliment. We could use a good two way lineman. We would have been better with him.

Here was my quote, "too bad he open enrolls over at Grosse Ile we could use him in the district he lives in, Huron."

Talk about elitist! No wonder nobody likes you people on the island.

  5. He went to Huron schools for ONE year. He has been at GI since 7th grade. Mind your own business, let's stick to football on this blog.

  6. what tape you watching he triped and fell on to the ball lol.everyone plays two ways on huron and gi low numbers.you should not judge other players when your son is only getting 5 tackles a game mom.

  7. C'mon it's OK to admit you have a Huron kid over there. He went to Renton then open enrolled when Grosse Ile allowed it.

He may live with his mother now but he lived in Huron Township for most of his life.

  8. Mr. Korody from GI showed "true grit" in his 2-way dependabilty and durability….great point made for sure. It's the team and not the individual…ESPECIALLY ON D!!

  9. And let's remember that GI's mid LB is also their starting center. He is in on every O play, snapping and blocking. Plays on both sides of the ball. Had another solid game Friday with a forced fumble and fumble recovery to boot! It's not all about individual stats people. It's about the TEAM that works together to get the W….

  10. GI's best LB was hurt for most of the season …but when he was healthy he was averaging ~9 tackles/game, the GI D was strapped up tight when all its horses could play. But being good also means being able to fill the injury voids.

The GI D is still an area that MUST be better for GI to be a top echelon team. Which goes to show you that a single player does not a team make…right Huron?? 😉

BTW, not a shot a weclowski as he is very good and deserves the recognition for the individual performance he delivers. Being a LB in my playing days, I give Mr. Weclowski high marks for tenacity and nose for the ball, he must improve his ability to create seperation at the point of attack to play at the next level as he is very "blockable" now. BUT…when he's free to roam, he delivers!

  11. Weclowski never had 30 tackles mom but he did have 28.His speed at middle LB allows him to make tackles side line to side line. His numbers are high because he's that good.It must seam really high for a GI fan your middle LB is only avg.5 tackles a game.

  12. I was the poster that mentioned the 15 figure regarding Weclowski's tackles vs GI. There's no doubt about his talent -he is an extremely solid player – I made no reference to anything to the contrary. My comment had to do with several poster's statements that he consistently is on EVERY tackle and puts up figures well above 30 tackles on EVERY game. As for the comment to me about being Dex Teen's dad – I'm still laughing about that one and so is my husband. Last time I checked I didn't have the proper equipment to be his dad and NO I'M NOT HIS MOTHER. Just a football mom who loves to watch High School games and appreciates the committment and talent fom such good players including Weclowski from Huron and Teen from GI (didn't mention other great athletes in the HL as I'm only talking about this game).

  13. Weclowski is a very good player. No doubt about it. I have been watching him for years. And it is great to watch the skilled players on Friday nights.
DPOY poster…you are a little defensive aren't ya? Weclowski ran down Teen here, tackled him there, spinning him to the ground… Whatever…He didn't stop Teen enough did he??? Huron still got smoked. And Teen was still amazing.

  14. I love how people want to put down one of the better players for Huron. Weclowski even with a broken wrist is still making even the "best of the best" look bad… The kids a beast and he's gonna get somewhere in life. The past… 5 games he's averaged 20+ tackles a game. Tell me or show me someone who's done that? LOL you cant. Weclowski is the better LB in the league and yall need to quit hating on him and trying to put him down cus you know hes great. period.

  15. I take it you must be dex teens dad? Because tyler weclowski smoked dex teen out of bounds.. so yea i would call that a tackle. Weclowski also stopped teen when teen hurdled for the endzone and weclowski hit him, spinning him to the ground, oh yea there was also a time when weclowski ran down teen and stopped him from scoring. Weclowski is the real deal. Playing with a fractured wrist and still had 23 tackles.

    DPOY

  16. uhm, there are people that take note of these things, and the stats showed him with 23 thank you very much. pay closer attention next time.

  17. I was at the GI/Huron game. Weclowski's name wasn't called more than a dozen times for tackles as I made sure I paid close attention. If you add pushing someone out of bounds a "tackle" then yes – I guess his name was called that much.

  18. How many tackles did Weclowski have? Didn't really hear his name a lot, but that doesn't always mean much. Anyone have that info?
