  1. Why does Huron think that they are so mighty all of the sudden… yeah you are better then you have been but you have played the two top teams in the league and lost both of them… LOST… your not as mighty as you think… and i hope somehow you get Airport again in playoffs cuz it will happen again

  2. I agree w/the the no's on Lovell, and I'm a CC grad. He's a solid player but doesn't belong this year w/the rest. I personally think Teen is the best player in the league (I can't imagine if he played for Airport or Central) but if Airport ends up running the table I would give the nod to Mays. If Central beats Airport then its a bit more wide open but still not Lovell (unless things change). If Central beats Airport and wins out, they will be the best TEAM, but doesn't necessarily mean you get MVP by default.

  3. Chiefs all day baby! FR, quit taking our sayings and stuff 🙂 you can try and be like us? but it'll never happen kids 😉

  4. Huronleagueguy. How can u say he thier best player on defense and offence.
    That's crazy he may be a playmaker. Or maybe he is the only one you know on the defensive side and offensive side.
    Well whoever it is they won't be stopping mays and the jets

  5. Jodeci has a LONG ways to go to get to Airport's single season rushing record.

    I'll be rooting for him to do it, but he is 1200 yards away from Derek Anderson's total and Airport has about 6-7 games left.

    To be fair, he should do it in 10 games to actually break the record anyways.

  6. to the airport player..tj lovell did NOT get all league sohpmore year for safety on defense…he got all region for offense… and yah he probably has played defense before but not that much…he played defense a little bit last year and none sophmore year..this is the first year he has started on defense…and he does NOT even play safety…he plays linebacker!!!!!!

  7. How is Lovell even close to being a contender for MVP? I have seen Howey's name more than his, he hasn't been doing anything like he has in past seasons. So Mays is my best bet for MVP thus far. He has the Line blocking for him every down.

  8. does anyone know if there are any ex-huron league players still playing at the college level?

    If so who are they and how are they doing?

  9. why would you give the slight edge to maynard … jodeci is going to break airports rushing record this year if he keeps up his average and he is the best team in the leagues work horse on a 4 and 0 soon to be 5 and 0 jet team… not even a question… and Weclowski from huron Close or Nava or Graves from Airport Lovell or their corner i dont know his name from CC should win defensive

  10. Ummm I play for Airport and i know lovell has played defense before i think he was like all league safety as a sophmore or something

  11. I've seen SMCC play twice this season. I saw the first game against Crockett and the last week against Huron.

    Against both teams I thought he was probably their best all around player on the field. He runs hard, plays aggressive, makes plays on defense and forces teams to constantly wonder where he is and what he is doing.

    I figured I better have someone on there from SMCC and quite frankly didn't know who else to put on there. To me, he is their best player.

  12. So far its Mayrand or Mays i would say Mayrand.But how did TJ even make the list.Last year i would have had TJ on there but im sorry not this year.How about DEF. MVP next thease are all off. players.

  13. mays = 7.85 per yard
    teen = 6.93
    wilson = 7.87 (this kid is wicked fast)
    dunn = 7.08
    mccullough = 6.23
    labeau = 6.00
    conner = 7.27

    nice job airport line keep it up. if SMCC likes to spread the ball around where are the rest of the RB's? teen drives GI, keep up the good work. wilson is fast, fast, fast! mccullough is a beast and has 1 more year, he needs to get faster though. dunn is good too, 1 more year for him also.

  14. tj lovell blocks like crazy…its not about getting the ball all the time… its about what you do without the ball…he also has played steady defense and blocks for the other running backs…

  15. Please continue to disregard GI accomplishments…suits the Red Devils just fine. Besides, we all know Defense wins championships.

    As stated over and over on this BLOG…until GI tranlates stats/winds/straps into wins, it means nothing.

    BUT, don't be lulled to sleep boys. SITOFN

  16. Mayrand completion percentage is 53%. He is also averaging 18.7 yards per completion. Jones is averaging 10.3 yards per completion.

    In the Airport system they throw short and safe passes a majority of the time resulting in easier throws. In the Huron system they throw down field more often making the throws more difficult.

    In the Airport system, Mays is more valuable than Jones so the defenses focus on Mays. In the Huron system Mayrand is more valuable than others so defenses focus on him.

    Both kids are good QB's but if I had to choose a slightly better one it would be Mayrand.

  17. u r right tj lovell hasn't done anything.. he isn't getting the ball hardly..against flat rock he only got the ball two times and they were both in the half..i know they won 40-0, but still..he isn't getting the ball like previous year…this past week against huron was his best running game of the year 11 carries for 93 yards i believe..he is also playing defense this year which he hasn't in the past…he isn't getting the ball that much plain and simple

  18. what the heck did TJ Lovel do this year to even be considered in the MVP voting. sure he had a great couple years the last two seasons, but that doesnt make him MVP this year. he hasnt done anythin this year. last time i checked 6 tackles a game doesnt qualify him for MVP.
