  1. agreed, and I'm an airport fan. Game summed up pretty accurately. Close game for 3 quarters (although Jefferson never had the lead).

  2. I agree with Jason. This game was close for much of the contest. It was a battle between Airport's running game and Jefferson's (can't believe I'm typing this…) aerial attack.

Once Jefferson went to the pistol, the passing game opened up for them. The Bears have a tall receiver that does a good job shielding smaller defenders with his body. Once the Jets' D started rolling coverage in his direction, though, they were able to pick off a number of passes. Partly, this was a case of a young QB locking in on his main receiver, but long term I'd be concerned that the QB is too short to see downfield. Maybe if they roll him out more, he can still be effective, I dunno…

Airport's run game was effective, but their gadget plays were backbreakers. I recall them converting on a double pass as well as a reverse pass with the outcome of the game still very much in doubt.

Also, Airport's roster seemed much larger than Jefferson's. The Bears don't even go two deep across the board and in the end, it looked like their line play in particular wore down quite a bit on both sides of the ball.

  3. It got rained out but the rames as a team looked great players who stood out to me was number 26 sophomore Eric Thomas with 3 sackes and 6 tackles all together also I noticed freshman
