    VIKING FOOTBALL IS BACK BABY!!!!

    For all the spread offense haters, it sure looked good tonight against the D6 Semi Finalist from last year! Who knows what could have been if they had Irwin running this system last year?? I was also impressed with the youngster who booted the 40 yard field goal. Regardless, congratulations to the Vikings, I was happy to see them pick up the upset win and prove all the doubters wrong!

      Who the heck said this was an upset??? Me and my buddy said this would be Dundee only win… onsted is way down … glad to see them win a game but that game didn’t prove much of anything as far as contenders

      Lets not say they are back here now big fella. Onsted is not the same team as they were last year. Not even close. BUT I will say dundee looked much better this week than last week. They also matched up wayyy better this week because Onsted did not have the athletes like blissfield did. The O line for dundee was dominating alll night long and it was great kick start to hopefully a good season for the vikings. If they wanna take that next step though, they have to punch it in from first and goal at onsted 5. cannot go without points.

    I missed the CC game but am excited to see they got their first win. How’d they look? Is flat rock really that rough this year?

      SMCC made improvements from last week but still made many mistakes. I believe they turned the ball over 3 times, including twice inside the 30. They also had a couple of personal fouls which is unlike any SMCC team would normally have. They looked much better than last week and I am sure Coach Kipf and his staff will continue to pound home the fundamentals on their young team. It is shaping up to be one heck of a game next Friday night when they host Huron at Navarre Field. I didn’t check but I believe Huron has beat them 1 time in the last 30 years and that was only a few years ago at Navarre? I hope my Falcons clean up the mistakes and prevail.

    Crazy few minutes in the Airport game. Leading 24-21 Airport gets a big running play all the way down to the Bears 15 yard line. 2 plays later Airport fumbles and Jefferson returns it all the way to the Airport 5 yard line. Jefferson at the goal line 2 plays later they fumble going into the end zone Airport recovers for a touchback. Airport nursing a 3 point lead with 4 minutes left.

            Milan has a good football team. They have some speed when they can get to the outside and the QB throws the ball well when he has time. Riverview is going to give teams fits all year. The 2 ends (#11 and #40) where game changers not allowing Milan to get outside and they got pressure on the QB. Add to that #51 is a scrappy hard hitter up the middle which made things very difficult for there offense. Riverview played there normal style in the 1st half and had 2 long time consuming drives and Milan ran out of gas in the 2nd half.

            milan is ight. and do not say cuz they beat FR sooo bad. a young cc team just beat them pretty easy. thats the power of the T baby. long drives where ya out with those big boys up front. the view is scary this year. semifinalists in my book

      Come on now, they do have a nice baseball field. Right behind the away stands. Sat in those stands and admired that field many years…..
