Airport took another step forward in 2019. The Jets made the playoffs losing a close one to League Champ Milan in the pre-district round. Airport has qualified for the playoffs 4 of the last 10 seasons. Head Coach Jim Duffy will be at the helm in his 4th season. His assistants will be: Gabe McMillian, Tim Duffy Jr., Matt Pinter, Scott Ross, Riley Woolford, Joe McMillian, Frank Stasa III.

Coach Duffy’s Outlook: “We are excited to have the opportunity to play football this fall. We have a core group of seniors that are all 3rd year varsity starters. They all have been key contributors in helping us establish a winning culture and continuing to help lead our program in the right direction. We will lean heavily on our seniors to help some of our younger players develop and continue to build.”
FNV Outlook: Airport has improved every year under Coach Duffy. Taking a big step forward in 2019, making the playoffs for the first time since 2012. I look for the same type of progress in 2020. With 4 starters returning on the offensive line, look for Senior Running Back Jacob Pac to have a big year and make claim for FNV Player of the Year honors.
So glad for the seniors they’ll have one more year of football. Pac may very well be the best running back in the area, and with a veteran offensive line he should have a big year. Anybody know if the Airport-Huron game will be live streamed on Friday?
It’s in the works, trying to stream it on the “Jets Video” YouTube channel if they get enuff subscribers.
