Huron great season OLSM has a well established program. Rebuild on MH and you never know next year.
"SMCC would not have beat OLSM either."
Im sure the Huron players read that comment and say to themselves.. wow that is right, Im good with our loss now.
Cmon dude… get over your hate.
"Good season Chiefs, your program has come a long way. SMCC would not have beat OLSM either."

Probably not, but we would have scored more than 3 points.
Ithaca Yellowjackets will be ready.
Can't believe SMCC made it this far.
Good season Chiefs, your program has come a long way. SMCC would not have beat OLSM either.
As a father of a Huron junior player, just wanted to say how great of a year this was. My son grew up as a young man and player. You and the team made it farther than your old man ever did.
Made me want to strap it on again…then reality set in.
Great game, your best of the year. Keep your head high.
Good luck CC, you deserve it…go for it!
Thanks for the memories Chiefs!

SMCC – good win, you guys looked dominant in the first half on defense and picked up the offense in the second half. I wasn't nearly as nervous as I was last week. Glad you guys have another shot at Ithaca. Seems like poetic justice. This is the year!!!
Huron – great, great season. Don't let the loss diminish what you have done for your school, community, and yourselves this year. Tons of success this year and I truly hope it continues for you guys in the future. OLSM is a true powerhouse with some incredible athletes. I think they'll win the title in D3.
In other news, Lansing Catholic Central pulls off a win 21-14 against an Almont team that punished LCC's offense to -18 yards(!!!) in the first half. Credit to LCC for pulling it off in the second half.
GO FALCONS-want to see the Hudson Tigers keep the record at 72 in a row.
Glad we are getting Ithaca-just wouldn't be the same against Boyne City.
Congrats to Huron on a great season!! The result today doesn't diminish the fact that you had the most memorable season in school history. And congrats to SMCC on getting to Ford Field. I have no doubt in my mind that this team is built to beat Ithaca. EM
OLSM was the real deal and yes Ross was a flipping stud. At 6-1, 215, he absolutely controlled the game from His LB spot. His hit on Hartwick was felt by everyone in the stadium. In my humble opinion, if Ross plays for Huron that is a one TD game either way. There is a reason he has offers from MSU, UM, OSU and Oklahoma. It will be interesting to see if they can beat Muskegon.
Its not about the streak ending… its about winning a title
11-2 for the Chiefs. I think we will see that type of record from them for quite some time to come. Building a winner.

Onward SMCC! Great season Huron!

another pick for windham
Result is in: Ithaca v smcc. This is the game to see. Smcc has the team to stop the streak. Ithaca has 5 seniors on their roster, needed some big plays to escape Madison hts Madison and can be beat. It won't be easy because Ithaca finds ways to win in the 4th qtr and seems to pull off brilliant pass plays late in game. If smcc secondary stays with them–the streak ends.
Ithaca stopped Boyne City on their 4 yard line to hold on to win 20-16 now it's up to SMCC to end the streak.
OLSM has a running clock at the Huron 1 with a minute left and rather than take a knee, has the backups punch it in. Wow… You can say stop them all day long, but that sure felt like a cheap shot from their coaching staff. Guess that shows you can't buy class.
Josh Ross # 5 was easily the best player Huron has seen all year.
Classy move by SMCC kneeling on the NP 3 yard line with just over a minute left. They'll move on 28-0.
51-3 OLSM
KC
Bryce Windham with a nice interception. SMCC should be able to burn some clock with about 7:32 left.
Lako rolls into the endzone from about 4 yards out. They go for two and Windham takes it in on the outside.
28-0 SMCC with 8:26 left to go.
44-3 OLSM end of the 3rd.
Devin Collins also out to injury if I just heard correctly.
KC
Hartwick didn't return to play.. Muller (SPELLING?) in for QB now

OLSM 35 Huron 3 Q4
SMCC 20 NP 0 Q4 <10:00 to go. SMCC getting ready to score again.
SMCC still up 20-0 at the start of the 4th. Hard running by Lako has them driving into NP territory.
NP has been driving, but not being able to put it in the endzone. Doesn't seem like they'll have enough time to score more than a TD in this game.
Ithaca is losing by 14 to Boyne City 2nd quarter.
Hart wick is out for the half and the whole thing is falling apart.
BEAUTIFUL 25-yard TD run by Carrabino, scoring his 3rd TD of the day so far. Not much up the middle for SMCC, but blocking around the edge is working great.
20-0 SMCC up after a blocked EP.
SMCC driving first possession in the 3rd. Quick shoutout to the Kestrels of SMCC winning the Class C State Championship against Schoolcraft. 🙂
SMCC WINS STATE VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!
SMCC FOOTBALL TEAM ON ITS WAY!!!!
Huron has to start capitalizing on these fumbles… 4th fumble of the game by OLSM and they've been lucky to recovery everyone thus far. If Huron can get on them; they'd be in business.
KC
Huron is putting up their battle. That's all they can do is play the best game they can. I wouldn't say OLSM is dominating at all. Huron had them 4th and 9 after double covering their receiver; and OLSM went for it and rolled right to hit an open man for the first down after their line fell and he was chased. Huron is putting plenty of pressure on the QB and line; Hurons defenders just need to stay on their man.
KC
It isn't rocket science. OLSM line well coached but Huron is giving them a battle. Huron losing but absolutely proving they belong here.
SMCC up 14-0 at half. The defense for NP looks very strong, SMCC's defense making big plays to stop long drives by NP.
Half time now for Huron/OLSM
KC
Hartwick just took a big hit and taken off field by the trainer.. score is 21-3 OLSM

14-0 SMCC on a 6 yard run by Carrabino. 5:49 left in the 2nd. Both defenses looking solid, SMCC score set up by a huge 52-yard punt return by Vuich.
SMCC up 7-0 early in the 1st. NP was stripped on the first offensive play from scrimmage and Carrabino runs it in 2 plays later.
