  1. For all the arm chair QB's and parents. Next time a coaching opening occurs please put in your resume for the coaching position. Otherwise support your player, support your school, support your coaches. No coach goes out on Friday not saying," oh I'll do this or sub this so we can lose." Unless you were there for every off season practice, lifting workout, camp, 2 a-days, and weekly prep; the coaches know what they need to do and who can get it done in the best interest of the team. Lets stop ruining the great game of football by thinking we know more than what we really do. If you are blessed with such knowledge of the game then start coaching and stop bitching! Schools are always looking for good coaches and role models.

  2. I agree coaches coach.. parents should just be spectators and encourage there players to be better in what they do and be good teammates!

  3. 1:49 you obviously are the parents of #22 or #32. Maybe leave the coaching to the coaches. Hope you are not spreading that negativity to your child. That's never good for the TEAM.

  4. You never rotate running backs !!! Give them a break and get back out there …rotate backs ? What in the world is going on ? I played for CC with coach sandersen, he played the best 11 period, period … we never rotated backs lineman, nothing…Best 11… and he conditioned us ..

  5. Well said parents of #22 or #32, both of which start on defense. Negativity always starts showing up after a tough loss. Pirates will be fine. Flat Rock is a very good team and I would be worried more by the lack of enthusiasm the Bucs had at the halftime warm up while FR was pumped. It was practically a tie game. Let's root for a team effort vs SMCC and a victory, which is what most Pirate fans are cheering for.

  6. Riverviews problem ? Lol , CC never took out there best backs , you need a breather…ok ..CC this year runs 6 different backs and believe me it's a joke !!! It all starts upfront on the oline PERIOD!!! You don't change backs in and out ever !!! First time ever I've seen this … #70 needs to go both ways … by far there most physical lineman…

  7. Back when Jefferson was successful in the 90's we all played both ways. That includes all of our running backs as well.

  8. Riverviews biggest problem is #21 , #44, #45 are the RB's and play Defense. In order for the T to work you have to have fresh legs! #21 runs the ball probably 65% of the time #44 & #45 split the rest.they have #22 & #32 that can help with the load and when they do go in they get positive yards ..my point is they need to start rotating the back in order to be successful!.

  9. 6:23, I'm an AP fan and couldn't agree more with you. One this blog creates, is random posts that are not well thought out at times. Every team in league has some bloggers that speak about their teams and may cut other teams down. Then it is taken to serous by the rival and the banter goes back and forth. It makes for a good blog and creates buzz. But, I know that these comments don't reflect the views of most of the fan base. I respect what Huron has done over the last several years and that started with developing a great feeder program and the kids working hard along with good coaching staffs. It's nice to see both them and Flat Rock's program come around. I do know that after Friday, AP will know they've been in a game, as I think Huron will feel the same way. Good luck to both teams and I hope it is a game for the ages and all come out of it healthy.

  10. Do you really think Huron is on here thumping their chests? A couple of random post here and there that say the Chiefs roll or that they win by 50. That is not what is taught over here. The Chiefs are simply just doing what they do under their new coach and staff. Working hard, playing hard and having some fun as a family. That's it.

I am going to make a prediction for Friday night. Take it any way you like. Huron will play extremely hard. You will know that you were in a football game. Onward!

  11. Yeah Huron is a world beater. They are gonna force running clocks against everybody on the schedule. You Huron fans should reserve your seats to Ford Field on Thanksgiving weekend.

  12. For the SMCC line comment do you mean defensive or offensive? It's only been two games so people just need to relax and let things work out. They had 23 freshman on a JV team that was very good. Varsity numbers are down so they had to do it. I've been to both games and don't see many changes coming. They are young and will improve everyday with good coaching. I just hope the wins follow. CC football is a family.

  13. I heard the same thing at SMCC , this particular kid that's only playing one side of the ball should be playing both ways 100% !!!! 100% …

  14. Hearing parents are getting upset that there kids are not getting playing time over sophomores on the line ? This is at SMCC

  15. Yes EM this staff has shown excellent football knowledge they get it done vs NBH this week they will come up with great game plan already see the difference in play calling on both sides of ball.

  16. I dont understand why all of these Huron fans think they will beat Airport by 30+…Im not saying Airport will win, but it will be a close game.

  17. Awfully funny they have new kids on the roster that never played at Huron? You just said they do currently live in the Huron School District. Which means their family moved to the district. In this case, they bought a home in Huron Township where the average value of a home is $177,200 and the average cost of a listed home today is $237,450. Maybe Huron bought the home for them. Maybe they just have a mailbox on the lot across the street from my house and they bus them in from Ohio every day. Maybe Coach Taylor moved up from Texas.

  18. Yes Chris they currently do live in the Huron school district. But its awfully funny Huron has a couple new kids on the roster that never played at Huron before varsity or jv. And they just so happen to be starters. I think they hired the new coach more for his Ohio connections than anything.

  19. Love this blog! fans from all schools say some real silly comments and some also sound like they know what they are talking about. Huron will not win by 35, way too much love for them after 2 games. Will be much closer game. Not saying AP will win, but I think it will be close game and come down to 4th quarter. If I'm wrong, I'll be the 1st to come back and comment on it. But, 2:20, I hope you will acknowledge how foolish your statement of 35 point win was after Friday as well.

  20. Of course half of Huron's starters are from Ohio, including the QB and RB AKA the coaches son's. Win or lose at least all of Airport's kids are homegrown.

  21. Probably because that post regarding the Monroe coaches is just silliness and the clown couldn't really put together any sense of coherent sentence structure and spelling. They win on the road against a 2-0 team by 21 points and someone says Monroe is horribly coached? Just makes that poster look foolish, don't you think?

  22. Can't believe we are talking about Huron recruiting. Can't this blog get back to the good old days of debating the morality of having a private school in a public school league or how good Airport's JV is going to be? 😂

  23. Chris is right. What happened was many years ago there were a lot of very small one room schools. When the state consolidated them to form the districts we know today they let the people at these little schools decide what district to join. Many of them on Maxwell road & along Oakville Waltz Road chose to go with the Huron Ditrict because their kids were going to the Waltz two room school already which is right off of Iakwood Waltz Road in Waltz even though it is in Wayne county.

  24. Maxwell road goes south off of Oakville Waltz. About a 1/4!mile of that is Huron School district. Also, on Oakville Waltz from Grafton to Clark road on the south side is Huron School district. That is why the Monroe News cover Huron. Flat Rock and Carlson have small parts in Monroe County too.

  25. Gary, Huron's school district is north of Oakville Waltz rd which is Wayne County there district does not go into Monroe County, yes they may be school of choice but there is no part of their district in Monroe County

  26. Gary your right 4 or 5 wins is very possible for Airport. I would say Jefferson and Tecumseh are probably the 2 most winnable games remaining. I think the Riverview game is a tossup. But I wouldn't be surprised if Airport pulled at least one upset over one of the favorites. Honestly at this point I don't know how good Airport is. I like what I see from the coaching staff so far, two weeks in a row they made good halftime adjustments. EM

  27. Rankings look pretty spot on at the moment. 10:53 you have a right to be excited about Huron, they may be the real deal. But I have a hard time believing they or anybody else in Monroe County could hang with Bedford. EM

  28. Huron is the best team in Monroe County. We prolly goin to be undefeated this season. Aint no body goin to be stopping us this year.
    #bigchiefin

  29. I guess we will find out when FR and Milan play this week. As for Monroe, they got a win against a 2-0 Elkhart Central. The Trojans were rolled by Churchill, but it appears that they will do that to a lot of teams this season.

  30. Monroe is terrible and has the worst coaching in the area. To put them that high is kind of funny. And FR above Milan???? Interesting to say the least. Nice win against Riverview…. but they are really poorly coached. Monroe will make the playoffs cus they have three give me's since Ann Arbor has the worst three teams in the state lol…. Monroe will lose to Saline and Bedford by at least three scores…. really porely. coached

  31. HOW DOES MILAN REPLACE TRACE LINDERMAN AND DEMETRIUS BARNES– EASY THEY HAVE TRISTEN HINES AND HUNTER AESCHBACKER AND A GREAT OFFENSIVE AND DEFENSIVE LINE. 23 STRONG
