  1. Junior varsity is to prepare your team for varsity. Huron has a lot of seniors, some juniors don't get any playing time on varsity, so they gain experience from playing JV. Seems like a reasonable practice.

  2. When Huron played GI the roster they passed out had 14 juniors on it. Grosse Ile only had 5 sophomores and 18 freshmen. Im not complaining, it is what it is, I wish we had that many sophomores (and juniors, for that matter Seniors and Freshmen too.) The juniors did play, a few played a lot, but the best players on their team were CLEARLY the sophomores. Believe me….. after seeing how big they were and how they were hitting we made sure to pay attention to that.

  3. Huron J.V 5-0 where would they be with just 10th graders? Come on parents are holding kids back a grade already to give advantage in sports. And then there holding back a team level to make them a player? And I've been told Jr's going to JV is parents telling coach PLAY my kid! Everyone gets a trophy 🏆 🥇 winning team now a days! Maybe we should not keep score so we don't hurt the feelings of someone!

  4. I don't think J.V is anyplace for Jurors! Kind of takes away from the win . If you have a freshman team that's your 9th grade ! JV 9-10 but Huron has no need to pull boys up JV or Varsity. By the time your a junior you NEED to be ready! Even on a big team help your team in practice. In the long run Jr's on JV just weakens a team because your taking playing time away from kids who will be your Varsity team for 2 more years!

  5. Come on Gary, We give some kudos to Huron, which is way overdue and you got to knock it. Give credit where its due. It doesn't matter how many kids are at whatever level, Huron has so many kids out for football they have to move some down. That's a great problem to have. Most of us can hardly field a Varsity team.

I'm not even a Huron fan.

  6. It may be true, I didn't count. I believe only a couple had significant playing time. Try guessing which ones are the juniors, I bet you'd be wrong. Your team got a beat down in the 2nd half, stop trying to make excuses.

PS I seem to remember a few years ago CC fans going ape over other teams diving at their o-line's legs. Looks like this new CC coaching staff has added that to their repertoire. Hmmmmmm
