  1. AP fan here, and Jeska was fantastic. However, hard to argue with the view O-line. They are real good and fast off the ball. Then it helps when you have some big, strong and quick backs. I've seen on here where some bloggers are saying they will lose to Huron and maybe some other teams. I can't see them losing another regular season game. I know, it's always about match ups, but if they don't beat themselves with turnovers and penalties, no way are they losing!

  2. The video is in the hands of our editor. Having a little trouble this evening with things but it should be up sometime tonight or tomorrow morning. That would be the wrapup video week five and then look for week six picks Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

  3. A little worried about Milan now. Low numbers, and now 3 guys on the sideline with crutches. Don't know how Hoskins is keeping this ship afloat. If he pulls this Championship off, he is truly the miracle worker.

  4. On the eve of the picks I actually had to get out pen and paper, what a crazy week this could be. Air FR game, Air beat GI but GI beat FR who do you pick? Milan Huron, Huron lost to CC Milan beat CC, who do you pick? GI SMCC, Grosse ILe beat FR and FR beat SMCC. Jefferson has lost to Air and Milan the Bucs have beat both, haven't played GI and haven't played a Huron, this week is going to be crazy. All I can say is stay humble, play hard and don't listen to The negativity. No injuries Have fun.

  5. 500 + yard says it all, the other players were great on this list but Riverview played 110% for the past couple of games.

My vote goes the the view.

  6. Riverviews O-line didn't do as much as you think. They couldn't run it up the middle and where they succeeded running outside. I couldn't tell ya how many times the lead blocker didn't touch anyone. Riverviews backs kind of out ran the Jets defense. Having to do with poor discipline on the Jets part jumping inside. Jeska or Riverviews backs deserve the honor.

  7. Riverview o-line got my vote, but they definitely get away with a little dirt in the trenches. But that is part of the game and will always be until there are serious issues with it getting to physical. These kids play their hearts out and I don't think any of them are out to hurt each other. Once the last whistle blows on the end of a senior year, 99.9% of these kids move on with real life. Let them play and hope all are safe.

  8. Chris Cantwell. (Senior)

All I can say is every kid on the field is a champion and without each other the stars of the games wouldnt be stars.Congrats to all of the players noted for excellent play!

  9. JD im with you this O-line is very deserving of being nominated Riverview has 6 backs that run the ball very hard and behind this line it doesn't matter which back runs the ball..oh and when the backs are not running it they are blocking. This group runs with bad intentions and and people can call them average if they want that's their opion…but the get the job done!! Riverview has one of the best fan bases and it shows every time one of our players is nominated.

  10. The thing about the player of the week is this, yeah the person with the best stats or performance should win, but guess what? It's all on who voted!!! A couple weeks ago when Tristen Hines was on there from Milan and had the best stats and a lot of people said he should be the winner, well unfortunately the other teams that had kids up for a vote as well voted and people from Milan didn't really!!! So, it seems like every week there is a Riverview kid up, they will more than likely win because their fans are voting!!!! Good luck to all of the kids! They are all good players!!!

  11. Hey Dan I agree with you it's called lack of class, Tanner Jeska has a great arm and his receivers played very well also. I didn't see the other players on the list play but from what I can tell from the write up they deserve to be there. The Bucs line is solid, fast, discipline and physical and the Bucs have the freight train running backs that can hit the holes. 533 yards and 7 touchdowns I don't care what team is your favorite that is impressive. I think it's great Chris and Gary nominated an O line it's a team sport. This blog would be way better if the cowards couldn't hide behind anonymous.

  12. I see some View fans pushing how we are going to win all these games. Let's stay humble let Airport fans be the braggarts and have to eat crow.

  13. I said it last week I will say it again it's a shame that people have to put down players or how they played because voting doesn't go your way! Let the fans decide who wins vote for your player or players and Let It Go…And if your going to put your 2 cents in put a name to your post!

  14. Too many words have been ate because of what’s been said before a game this season… Don’t let that be you riverview. Gotta keep winning to be that confident.

  15. I see Riverview with 2 possible losses in the remaining games (Huron and Redford Union). This may sound crazy, but GI could pull it off too. I watched GI v. Huron and GI's interior line is stout! They have the quickness to offset Riverviews power T.

  16. When you start your post off with "I'm not trolling", that is exactly what you are doing. "I'm not trying to be mean", but you have no idea what you are talking about. There are no "chop blocks" and to chalk up the views success to timing exposes your poor understanding of the T and football. If you get a chance to see the Pirates play, you might see 2 of the O-line players gimmick the D tackle 10 yds down the field. You might see the guard pull and gimmick the D end on his butt. You might see the running back gimmick their way down the field for a 50 yd TD. Riverview may struggle and lose remaining HL games because they are high school football players and it's tough to win in this league. A couple plays go differently and Airport wins last Friday, but please don't shush the love that the team is getting for what they have achieved up to this point. It is well deserved.

  17. 8:56 have you ever watched a game of football in your life. Watch the Flat Rock Riverview game Flat Rock executes a perfect chop block. The Bucs straight up block with technique and pancake whose ever in front of them. Stick to soccer you've obviously never watched a solid football team execute with discipline. Gimmicky it's called ground and pound!

  18. by far Jeska, he performed so well especially as a single person, he has done exceptionally well this season and definitely deserves something like this, such a good sport too and hypes the team up when it’s needed , on and off of the field

  19. Not trolling here, but enough about Riverview. It's just a gimmicky offense that's run efficiently. The line and backs are average, but they have good timing in their offensive chop blocks.

  20. Respect for all on the list – those were some difficult conditions to play in. My vote is for the Bucs as well. That was as dominant a performance as you’re going to see and besides…don’t the skill guys get enough love and respect? Haha.
