  1. The guy that said Carlson and Wyandotte would beat Belleville has got to be trolling. Those overrated Downriver league teams would both have running clocks against them. I guess you don't realize how overrated the Downriver league is. Once again Wyandotte will go 9-0 and once again they will exit the playoffs early against either Bedford or Lincoln. Same goes for Carlson, they've looked real good against the Kennedy's and Truman's of the world but ordinary against anyone with a pulse

  2. After Chris had his talk about Belleville on this weeks picks I am going down to Bedford to help cheer on the Mules. I am sure it'll take alot of MULE STUBBERNESS but I hope Bedford can upset them. HL Fan/ Monroe county resident.

  3. A couple other teams that come to mind who would beat Belleville…… Dewitt, Fenton, Grand Ledge, Chip Valley, Eisenhower, Mona shores, Muskegon, Zeeland East, East Grand Rapids, Saline, Canton, Forest Hills Central, DCC, Gibralter Carlson, Wyndotte, and hopefully Bedford lol

    I think that's close to 30 lol

  4. To say Bellville is a top team in the state is like Davis Gordocki from the news ranking them #1 lol…. They have great kids and a ton of D-1 players. However, they are one of the most poorly coached teams in the state. A very average 4-4 Brighton team had them down 17 points in the 4th at U of M stadium before they decided to kick off lol…….

They are not a top 30 team in the state. 5-3 and 6-2 teams like Rockford, East Kentwood, Clarkston , Hudsonville, West Bloomfield, Groves, De La Salle….. The list goes on….. Would beat them….. Coaching goes a long way and Bellville has beat one good team this year that is waaaaaayyyyyyy down compared to usual being Fordson…..

This is not a good Bedford team, but they have a 50/50 chance to beat Bellivile….

  5. The Huron League Season is about to come to an end
Riverview was better and just would not bend
Their O-Line was stout and big and strong
Choo Choo trains were heard running all night long
Milan was hurt and players were hard to find
They showed heart and courage all of the time
Flat Rock made strides toward a playoff bid
With a new Coach and some very very determined kids
SMCC started slow and then gained some steam
Finally straightened their way with that very potent T
Jefferson played with heart and deserved to win
Showed up each week and just would not give in
Life on the Island was very tough this year
Regroup, get better, going forward have no fear
Huron was up and down at times
But the warrior in them will guide their lives
Airport looked good if it wasn't for that D
Don't worry there's next year and you still have your JV
Chris and Gary thanks for the blog
We saw clocks that didn't work up on Gary's wall
Chris isn't fat I can say that for sure
Tell Larson's no fries that is the cure
Good luck to SMCC and Flat Rock your teams made the show
Soon Chris and Gary's face will start to their homer glow
Thanks to all the bloggers and enjoy this weeks fights
Until next year's season begins, I wish you all a goodnight!

  6. Tecumseh has 5 wins this season. The combined Amount of wins the 3 teams AP has beaten is 4….(0-8, 2-6 and 2-6). I’ll take me some Indians.

  7. I've seen Carlson play. They are legit.

Carlson had better athletes than View. View line may be better but Carlson is capable of big plays at any time.

Would put Carlson 8th in D3.

I'm looking forward to view vs Carlson. If it happens.

  8. Gary why you got Carlson so high? Only teams they blew out were the bad DRL teams and they barely beat an average Allen Park team. They will do what most DRL teams do in the playoffs, exit quickly. Riverview's oline would manhandle Carlson's average AT BEST defense

  9. Fair enough. For me. I put them behind musk. ZE. ZW. Dewitt. FHH. DDC. Harper creek. EGR. Carlson. For sure

That puts them at 10. I would also put lakeshore WWT and Fenton even with them.

That doesn't mean they couldn't beat a few of those however.

  10. Maybe Riverview doesn't have the recent playoff history of some of those teams, but yes this year I would rank them that high in D3. EM

  11. Just finished watching the video. Another good one! (Although I do want a burger now…)

I particularly enjoyed the straight shooting regarding the home cooking we can expect to see at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep and Belleville's recent track record somehow "attracting" top transfers.

    Keep up the good work!

  12. No doubt Gary, the other side has EGR, GR Christian, Muskegon, Zeeland East and West. Carlson and Riverview get Fenton and FHH and Divine Child.

  13. I would hope Riverview and Carlson wouldn't play till the 3rd round cause they are definitely two of the top 8 teams in D3. Chances are they'll be in the same district since they are so close. Probably Huron at Carlson and Romulus at Riverview in one district. And yes 1:15 Allen Park will be favored this week. EM

I can't see where you are coming from with this. They crushed Southgate and are on their way to their second state championship in the last 13 years. I am exotic to see them throughout the playoffs. I have no doubt they win out, after all they broke three school reconds and a league record this year and also are bringing up some 8th graders for playoffs.

  15. I agree with you Gary. Most the points against the Falcons have been special teams or defensive touchdowns.

@1124 If they both made playoffs, i don't know how they will match all 6 teams up. Who do you think would play each other?

I actually don't find that interesting at all lol. Allen Park is gonna lose out so it will not be of interest.

  17. It's gonna be interesting to see how the six nearby teams in division 3 are placed and matched up if Allen Park and Trenton both make the playoffs. EM

  18. I wouldn't say I'm hyping it. I just posted stats.

If you don't feel giving up 4.5 PPG over the last 5 games is quality performance poll worthy. Then I guess I'm sorry.

  19. I want CC to win and push some of the better HL teams up in points, but I don’t see it happening. If we are all being honest (Gary), then the expected outcome would be somewhere in the area of 10-14 point loss for the Falcons. However, if that tough defense that Gary is hyping shows up then maybe they will make a game of it.
