Better buckle up Bird Brains, Rams are coming to town…….. that would not be to much of a shock when FR pulls it off but the surprise of the weekend is……..Bears score late to beat an AP team who is overlooking the best player in the league. Book It !!
St. Mary Catholic Central has gone 9-1 against Flat Rock recently and they’ll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Flat Rock Rams at 7:00 p.m. St. Mary Catholic Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Last Friday, St. Mary Catholic Central didn’t have too much trouble with Riverview on the road as they won 34-15.
Meanwhile, Flat Rock took their matchup at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-7 win over Milan. Considering the Rams have won five contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday’s blowout was nothing new.
Flat Rock’s success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ben Scully, who gained 211 total yards and two touchdowns, and Graham Junge, who threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes. Junge is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he’s now passed for three or more in the last five games he’s played dating back to last season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Flat Rock was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards in six consecutive matches.
St. Mary Catholic Central pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Flat Rock, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
St. Mary Catholic Central beat Flat Rock 27-18 in their previous matchup back in October of 2023. Does St. Mary Catholic Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Flat Rock turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
Why do we keep motivating cc more and more every week SmH they never learn…..
If comments and score predictions could win games no one would ever lose lol. Keep them coming Ram faithfuls, the Falcon boys love them. (Just ask Buc nation)
No Frank? Was looking forward to seeing him in that mask smh…
I’ll leave it at this when was the last time flat rock beat cc at home?? actually, I’ll do you one better. When was last time flat rock beat cc
2017
Flat Rock’s offense will be too much for SMCC’s defense they also are going to want this game much more. Riverview honestly pounded SMCC’s defense the turnovers just killed them. They are apart of the game but I can guarantee Kipf and co wouldn’t want to play them again. I believe Flat Rock wins by one possession in a close one.
If not-so “Falcon Faithful” followed this year’s team he/she/they would know this CC team is different. While they’re certainly beatable, they have a quiet confidence and play with a chip on their shoulder. When the delusional dads of the HL insisted Riverview was going to hang 40+ points on them, these kids used it as bulletin board material and proved the naysayers wrong.
If they play disciplined, tough football there’s no doubt they should walk off the field 7-0 after the final whistle.
I’ve got the Rams. 1, they don’t know the rams plays and the rams offense will be physically punishing, 2, I believe the rams will show up for a fight and that size difference will do a number on cc. Riverview never really had a chance to do that with those turnovers. Just don’t give them the ball and you’ll have every chance to win the game. Not taking away from CC, they are a great football team, but so are the rams and they’ve got plenty of big body to use and a punishing running game. The ball fakes of FR are good as it gets and if there aren’t enough guys in the area to bring down 30, CC will get punished.
I wouldn’t underestimate the falcons d line, and the rest of the defense for that matter
They’re quick, but they’re going to take some punishment in this game. The FR linemen are good and if they win that battle there’s a real bruiser to tackle.
2 things to remember on the Rams vs Falcons.
1. Rams do not defend the T very well.
I don’t think FR has a clue up front, and I don’t care how big they are.
2. Navarre Field, enough said.
Falcons by 3 TDs.
That works two ways. CC, while they can defend the T because they know in an instant which play is coming, they’re going to struggle with the rams because they don’t have that advantage.
SMCC defense is very fast, Rams are slow.
Rams can’t score if SMCC controls ball possession, which they will because Rams are lost defending the T.
Navarre field conditions favor SMCC, lighting is terrible, field should be redone or condemned.
Flat Rock is faster than they look and they deliver punishment with every play. I think you’re going to be surprised. This week, the falcons don’t know the playbook of the team they play.big difference if they don’t get handed the ball three times, two of those in the red zone.
SMCC does not run the T any longer. I think SMCC being in shotgun will help Flat Rock find the ball a little better but SMCC will still control time of possession like last year. Keep Flat Rocks offense on the sideline. That SMCC defense is very physical and very fast. Flat Rock QB will face pressure every time he throws the ball. This SMCC team is just built different this year! I’m predicting the same outcome as last year.
Carlson vs. Woodhaven is at Carlson guys. Blackout game.
SMCC will win time of possession again this year and will win this game by 2 touchdowns. Brady Hines is gonna have another big night and the defense will be too much for Flat Rock!
Flat Rock 30, SMCC, 21
FR 42
CC 15
