Mid Year FNV Power Rankings

Now that we are a four weeks into the season. We are back to our power rankings. The Power Rankings aren’t suggesting that one team would beat another in a potential match-up, they are simply implying that these teams are where they are at based on the season thus far.

  1. Riverview 4-0, Riverview takes over the top spot. Quite frankly, the Pirates look awesome. Big game this week at Flat Rock.
  2. SMCC 4-0, the Falcons continue to roll, but seemed to struggle at times against winless Airport.
  3. Carlson 4-0, The Marauders have ho-hum’d their way to 4-0 because they are that good. The schedule gets more challenging this week.
  4. Flat Rock 4-0, The Ram offense is rolling, but the question is can the Rams stop the T this week?
  5. Ida 3-1, improves to 3-1 on the season with thrashing of Hillsdale.
  6. Summerfield 3-1, the Bulldogs impressive in their upset win over Hilltop. Big game this week.
  7. Bedford 2-2, Kicking Mules scored early and often against Pioneer.
  8. Whiteford 2-2, The Bobcats two losses came to very good teams. Host rival Summerfield on Friday.
  9. Milan 2-2, Big Reds pick up the shutout victory. Tough road ahead over the next 3 weeks.

  1. Good rankings. I would say:

1- Riverview (Levels above everyone else, rest your starters as much as you can until Round 1)
2- Carlson (Bigger school being successful without their best player)
3- SMCC (Are they good or benefactors of a nice schedule?)
4- Ida (1 series away from being 4-0)
5- Bedford (most underrated SEC team)
6- Flat Rock (We will see how good they are this week)
    7- Whiteford (Second most underrated)
8- Milan (Play hard, tough schedule, Coach Hoskins teams are always good)
9- Summerfield (Again we will see how good they are this week)
10- Airport (I predict them to finish 5-4)

    1. Let’s talk about it Milan alum.

You praise View for being head and shoulders above everyone else.

Then you ask the question is SMCC good or the benefactor of a nice schedule?

      1. SMCC has played the tougher opponent in Clinton. See below what Calpreps predicts the score would be between both teams season openers.

      regular season (neutral field)
      [2024] Clinton (MI) 34 (98%), [2024] Renaissance (Detroit, MI) 0 (2%)

      2. Both teams have 2 common opponents. Huron and Airport. Total margin of victory for Riverview = 59 SMCC = 56.

      Your turn.

  2. It should be Riverview 2 Carlson 3 Smcc 4 Flatt Rock. Riverview and Carlson look unbeatable. Smcc offense and Defense is not impressive. Airport made to many mistakes or that Smcc would have a different out come. Flat Rock maybe was looking ahead to Riverview. I have the pirates putting a running clock on flat Rock and Smcc the following week. WATCH

    1. Your an interesting man I’ve read a lot of your comments recently….. you do realize river beat airport 35-7 smcc beat them 28-0 id personally say winning 28-0 is more impressive non the less both teams won by 28 so I don’t know how you can jump to these conclusions….. don’t worry we will see in a week who is right, but all I’m saying is based of the games I’ve watched it’s very hard to say who is better we should be in for a dog fight.

      1. it wont be a multiple score games i can see it being 28-21 favoring either teams or a 2 point win like last year what ever team makes the least mistakes on either side of the ball wins this game
