  1. No one thinks Airport sucks, are you kidding? Everyone's just arguing for their own team or opinion. Enjoy your great season. Not everyone is ever going to agree with you for God's sake.

  2. okay you need to get real dude…. Why do Huron and SMCC think that they are the only teams improving… Airports defense was not as good as they could of been first two weeks with their best player on D since middle school was out with a knee injury…and since then what has happened… No touchdowns from Milan… DUNN DID NOTHING… only 2 from Jefferson which McCullough did nothing only 35 yards… How can you say Airport is not best in league… 3 of the upper teams huron jefferson and milan all got whooped… they all got beat by 28 thats four touchdowns… and with Quenting Draftz back who was Airports starting back as a junior last year why does everyone think Airport sucks now… they are very good… and no they aren't going to lose in huron league i can promise that

  3. Im gonna second that…Hurons D looked "better" since "theyve been working on it" you work on defense every week bud its not like they said oh man 54 points gotta practice defense now, thats just dumb, they looked better cuz the offenses they played were worse end of story, airport has a starting running back returned who didnt play against huron the first time, now they might not score 54 again cuz thats a ton but 45 or so… please huron is a weak defense, thats just how it is and you can say anything you want to change my mind but its not worth cuz 54 points is 54 points, although thats not as bad as hurons freshman giving up 83 to airports freshman, sleep well chiefs your dream season will be over before november 1st

  4. "you cant beat airport no matter how bad u wish u could."

Jock riding much? Airport is not the greatest team in the league. You fail to recognize this. They are beatable and they will be beat eventually. Your Jet's got help up for the first half by a crappy Huron Defense… You seen Hurons defense since they've been working on it? no. other wise you'd have a second opinion. Get real bud.

  5. if huron had a rematch with airport they would not do better im sorry. airport didnt have one of their starting linebackers or one of their starting running backs and now both are back. huron had a couple of huge passes thats it. you cant beat airport no matter how bad u wish u could. and as it goes for the kid that said milan wouldnt lose to airport twice.. your wrong and yes they would. the only points you put up was on two kick returns and a score on the second team d. keep dreaming.

  6. KL, thank you for realizing my football genius. I don't know how someone can say Bedford is a bad team when they are currently 3-0 in the SEC, and only have lost a thriller vs. Airport. As far as we are currently concerned, it looks like 4 playoff teams from the league is probable. Airport only needs 2 more wins for 6, considering they play Riverview, Flat Rock and GI, they are already in the playoffs. SMCC needs 3 more, and although their remaining games are tougher, they should be able to get 3 out of 5, I think they'll get 4 more and lose to Airport, putting them at 7-2. Huron has to get 4 out of 5, but they have got their 2 hardest games out of the way, and the only team left they will probably be considered an underdog against is Milan (That game is a complete toss up). Milan still has SMCC, Huron and Jefferson to worry about, but they only have to win 1 of those games, as Riverview and Belleville should be very easy wins. Everyone else in the league will be under .500, but with Airport Milan and Huron being close in enrollment, 1 of them will be a district champ at least come playoff time (Obviously that 1 will be Airport, but if a weird drawing happened and they were split up maybe 2) Add in SMCC with what should be another favorable playoff run, it should be a good playoff year for the Huron League. Look for Airport 9-0, SMCC 7-2, Milan and Huron 6-3 by the end of this year. And can 2 weeks please get here, I need to see the SMCC Airport game right now

  7. SMCC playoffs? di you say playoffs? They better get better because the could certainly lose to Milan, Airport and DDC. which would put them at 5-4 and out most likely. dont talk playoffs… CC has to get better and take it one game at a time.

  8. milans going to have a tough time making the playoffs with 4 losses at least. Huron will beat them as well as CC. Sorry but milan doesnt have much talent over their right now.

  9. Give Airport a test? Milan the best team gave them a test. Milan will have another shot at them in the play offs, and Milan wont loose to them a second time.

  10. Rustayo you are a genius thank you. And bedford not a good team? OK ypsi lincoln was terrible for many years, not due to lack of talent but due to absoulutely zero coaching. You take those same ypsi lincoln teams and give them coaching and there competitive, there big fast athletes just had no discipline. They have new coach there now and are actually competitive. Will Bedford beat ann arbor pioneer, no, but that doesnt mean your not good cuz you probably wont beat one of the best teams in D1. Edsel Ford on the other hand i believe Bedford will beat. Idk when bedford plays chelsea but when the mules walk outta that game with a W then will people give a good bedford team the respect they deserve. Saline over the years has had a very good program and their Qb is committed to State, maybe there not as good as normal but they still have a D1 Qb and Bedford held them to seven. Maybe after airport goes to flushing and pounds on them people will finally give this undersized but extremely fast team some hope in the playoffs. On top of that even tho airports line isnt huge they are all strong hard nosed kids, that counts for something in HS football when you got tough kids not afraid to hit you in the mouth. BEsides they only need to hold a block for a fraction of a sec before those speedy backs are making there way down field. Keep it up jets!

  11. Bedford sucks??? You need to pay more attention Yeah they beat Ann Arbor Huron by 7… that same Ann Arbor Huron team the was beating chelsea half way through the 4th… a chelsea team who has nick hill running back going to MSU… yeah close game against Ypsi Lincoln… with a new coach… a new coach that may actually be able to teach all of those athletes ypsi lincoln always have actually how to play football and yes saline is supposed to be very good they beat adrian and adrian beat chelsea… so get your facts straight yeah maybe ann arbor pioneer will win they have 2600 kids in that school… Airport is good i know that you are a CC fan because you guys are the only ones that wont accept that Airport is good and your going to get man handled

  12. I begged a differ justafan. SMCC needs to get their game together if they even want to think of making it past the first round playoffs.. SMCC just won to huron by 1 POINT! Looking at Hurons past records and how bad they've been over the years, thats an upset. Airport Beat Huron 56-24, where as SMCC only beat Huron 19-20. IF you ask me, if SMCC doesn't get their act together, they very well could get knocked out first round of playoffs depending on who its against. Airport though? Isn't the best team in the league. I'd like to see Huron and Airport play each other again just to see how it would go. Huron wasn't at its best when they played Airport and with them working alot harder and fixing their defense up and so forth; i think if Huron and Airport had the chance to play again? It'd be a lot closer of a game. Airport isn't unbeatable. They have 3 runners and a speedy like. No size or nothing. They can be beat.

  13. http://michiganeastfootball.forumcircle.com/viewtopic.php?t=709&

even though he is an Allen Park fan, he has a good point. I didn’t even think of Adrian. please don’t think i wish airport bad vibe or ill will, I want them to do well, I really do. I don’t think anyone will slow their offense down, its awesome. Speed and strength do work on the offensive line and they have a good one. They are not big enough on the defensive line. Good luck to all Huron League teams for the race to the playoffs. With all the teams playing better, who knows what’s gonna happen by the end of the year.

  14. If you want to look up how size affects football teams (not enrollment, but i.e 6'1" 285) look up the last couple of East Grand Rapids teams, and you will find their largest weight was like 240 lbs. Speed is the key to championships, that is what has elduded Huron League teams last year (Milan had crazy size, Airport was pretty big, Jefferson had a lot) Now that Airport has a lot of speed, they can compete with those option and spread teams. And it looks like the way things are playing out they can get a nice draw in the districts, potentially a district of Airport, Huron, Carlson, Milan (We have a lot of time, that is all random speculation) But it appears as though Airport is poised for their bust run in a while, and it looks as though SMCC can go pretty deep again too. ALl I am saying is that it comes down to gameplan and execution, not how big your team is, or anything like that. You can only judge Airport on what they've done so far, and so far they have done pretty dang amazing

  15. Do you guys know your facts, you keep bringing up Bedford? Bedford? Bedford is not a good team, com talk to me about Bedford after the next 2 games, they face Ann Arbor Pioneer and Dearborn Edsel Ford, they will kick Bedford’s a*@. They beat Ypsi-Lincoln by 9? That’s a real tough game? They beat Ann Arbor Huron by 7 another real tough school there?… and then they whopped Saline? Saline? Were they supposed to be good, they are so unorganized, big headed and un-coachable at Saline its not funny, Airport would have walked all over all 3 of those teams, easily. Don’t call me a hater, I’m stating an opinion. Here will this make you feel better…. SMCC will NOT get out of the first round of the playoffs.

  16. Bloody…their still blowin! GI found a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again. The Devils were ahead for much of the game….something that many people of this board would certainly not expect.

But a loss is a loss and now we move on to next week. GI will suprise again which of course is a change from the past few years.

  17. ok justafan i see your point. Yes airport is the best team in the league, most talented, just the best, period. Theyve shown that. ARe they a farmington hills harrison or east grand rapids, no. Those teams will give them problems agreed, but those are teams you see in round three or four which is still a deep playoff run. I agree on that, teams like that are just another level compared to the type of football we play around here. Im just saying that i think airport is the best team in the league from multiple perspectives. Sorry i wasnt trying to come out as harsh with my super long comment beforehand, I was just trying to make a point.

  18. not to mention saline has a QB going to michigan state and they scored 7 on bedford and airport scored 30… come on wise up

  19. okay quit talking about giving airport a test… hasnt bedford been whooping everyone and just beat saline by 33… a test… im pretty sure they got one week one and should of won by two touchdowns… they're for real get over it

just a fan your just a hater. huron ands milan both had bigger lines and airport still smashed them. what airport lacks in size they have in speed. they also scrimaged wyndot earlier this season and the deffense did good against them. and quit talking about how airport has a bigger school they only have 32 kids on the football team.

Could you please re-write this in English?

  21. i'm a fan of the Huron League, not any one team. Both my kids attend Airport however we live in the Huron Twnship Schools Dist, school of choice! I do not disagree with you on any points. Draftz will help both the offense and defense as he gets his legs back, he looked a little slow Friday night but is a good athlete who will come alive. Both of your points of faster lines will win in the Huron League, I do not disagree with that either., Milan’s line was not that much bigger than Airports and Airport has more talent on both lines than any other team in the league. MY point here is, the Huron League is weak this year and Airport will dominate, however, they will not be tested, even Flushing is not that good this year, maybe give Airport a test. I hope Airport does well, I hope they get past the 1st and 2nd round, they are the Huron Leagues best chance for a long playoff run this year. I’m concerned in my points that they are not big enough nor strong enough…. Speed only goes so far till a bigger stronger team takes you down.

  22. To justafan…Im gonna have to go out on a limb and say your name is misleading, as you sound like a CC fan. Heres some quick facts that may make you think otherwise. Airports defense is getting better but no they are not what a typical Aiport defense is like, they arent big. They are however similar to their offense, fast fast fast. They gave up 18 to Bedford, score says 25 but Bedford threw a 40 yeard TD pass as time expired on Airports number 2's. That same Bedford team just beat a good Saline program by 35, and Bedford has common opponents with Chelsea and is beating those same teams by more than Chelsea. And Airport beat Bedford, a so called bigger stronger D1 school. Huron picked on a backup corner for Airport who doesnt play anymore since Draftz cam back. Also airports best LB Nava did not play against Huron. But this is a Huron league website and should focus on the league as it is. which clearly states that Airport is winning league games against Huron, Milan, and Jefferson, which are some of the upper echelon teams in the league by 28 points each, compared to CC beating Riverview by six, FR by 40(who cares its FR), and Huron by one. Airport had over 600 yards of offense against Huron, and CC was down and had to rely on pure luck to beat the Chiefs. BTW justafan, you really dont know much by saying Trenton, cuz i think your talking of a 1-3 trenton team that wont be in the playoffs. Dewitt is very good but wont be seen til at least the third if not fourth round, Wyandotte will be division 2 when airport is division 3 so they wont play either. Besides airport scrimmaged wyandotte and wyandotte couldnt contain mays, jones, or baker, and the so called big bad wyandotte team couldnt run the ball either so i think point proven there. MElvindale isnt too big thats the problem there just too fast, even tho airport has speed melvindale is just to fast. Another point to be made the 2002 airport teams defense that was considered to be one of the best d's in the state wasnt too much bigger than this years squad. Sorry this may sound harsh but really your points were just not very valid.

  23. just a fan your just a hater. huron ands milan both had bigger lines and airport still smashed them. what airport lacks in size they have in speed. they also scrimaged wyndot earlier this season and the deffense did good against them. and quit talking about how airport has a bigger school they only have 32 kids on the football team.

  24. Okay really the only legit team you put up was Dewitt… Chelsea lost to Adrian… Adrian lost to Saline… Bedford beat Saline 40 to 7… Airport beat Bedford… do the math …. quit dogging on airport

  25. to justafan…in a weak huron league? have you even been paying attention this year? almost every team has a solid program and airport has come to play. When airport is averaging about 42 points a game in a league that is quite dominate this year id say the jets are doing well. and yes i do see them going pretty far into the playoffs but as for state champs? im not sure…their going to have to take it one game at a time. good luck jets

  26. I’m concerned what’s going to happen to Airport when they play a bigger and stronger team (Flushing maybe, any good team in the playoffs??). Airport looks to dominate the weak Huron League this year with a possible good game at SMCC. Airport has some really good talent on offense and they work well as a unit but on defense I don’t think they are big enough or strong enough to hang with the big boys when they get to the playoffs (teams like Trenton, Chelsea, DeWitt, Melvindale,Wyandotte). Coach Redmond seems to always get the best out of his players even with a guy who has fair talent, he pulls out the most from him and I think that’s what he has this year, some good talent on offense but not enough to handle the big defensive lines of other schools outside the Huron and fair talent on defense that will get rolled on by a good team.

  27. Rob white from grosse ile is having a big season. how does his arm compare to andrew mayrand from hurons? havnt had a chance to see the huron kid play. also heard the kid from airport can throw a little bit…what are your thought?

  28. Airport's O-Line was absolutely amazing. They are becoming the true "stars" of the team.
Jodeci didn't have to make his first move on most of his runs untill he hit the secondary (if at all). With that said, Pluff and Williams could of ran for over 100 as well (which they have already accomplished). But Mays is incredible. Dan Jones had plenty of time to throw and demonstrated incredible instinct moving in the pocket. He easily could of thrown for 2 or 3 touchdowns as well.

Well coached, supported, and hard working team.
Great Job Jets. Keep focused and gear up for CC.
