Lincoln Park/Taylor Kennedy

I have a bonus pick today. This is a battle between two winless teams. Lincoln Park lost last week to Woodhaven 40-14 while Kennedy lost to Southgate Anderson 35-28. Kennedy won last season over the Railsplitters 18-13.

Most know that Lincoln Park is in the midst of the longest losing streak in the nation. The Downriver League has been tough for them because they must play 9 league games per year. Jim Kalbfleisch was hired last season to end the streak.

Kennedy is a team that finished 3-6 last season but is without veteran coach Brian Obrycki who has taken this season off due to family committments.

Lincoln Park’s losing streak has reached a monumental 57 games but this may be the week the Railsplitters taste victory for the first time since week two of the 2006 season. Pick: Lincoln Park 21 Taylor Kennedy 20

  1. Who cares about the downriver league. They are weak. Carlson could not compete against the smaller schools in the Huron so they bailed to a weak league.

  2. Iknow who Steve Avery is, he had that rare condition called osteoglassitis, it is where your bones are made of glass and shatter easily. He made millions so it is ok to joke about him.

  3. I hope Lincoln Park wins. Sounds like they need a win bad. I went to Taylor Truman many many moons ago. Kennedy was our big rival. Go Railsplitters!

  4. Love the bonus pick, Well stated. Go railsplitters. We faced them a few years ago in the DJFL. Nice group of kids and parents.

  5. I think LP will win, though would not be surprised if they lose yet again. 2006 wow, that is just unbelievable, how does that happen? You almost have to try to be so awful.
