By Chris Schultz and Frank Vajcner
Each week, Chris and Frank will give their thoughts on our blog teams. For the most part, one will generally keep things on the rails, while the other goes a little off the wall.
Frank: November is for contenders
Chris: Well, quite a few pretenders were playing on November 1st this past Friday.
Bedford
Frank: Despite the loss, Luke Whetstone and Trenton Smithson may be names to watch next year for Bedford.
Chris: Yep, Bedford seems to be a year away.
Carlson:
Frank: Hopefully Livonia Franklin won’t be the bane of Carlson like they have been for Bedford.
Chris: Nice to see Izaiah Wright out there scoring TD’s again.
Flat Rock
Frank: How often has Flat Rock won where Graham Junge did not account for a touchdown?
Chris: The Denby fan I ran into at Chandler Park Golf Course yesterday didn’t seem to appreciate me mentioning the result of Friday’s game.
Ida
Frank: Streaks were motivated to send a message (sorry, Chris). They will need that and then some against Lumen Christi
Chris: Message received
Riverview
Frank: Pirates squeak one out with a gutsy call. But you have to feel for Trenton, who has lost four games by a combined six points.
Chris: When was the last time Trenton beat Riverview in football? I’ll hang up and listen.
SMCC
Frank: I’ve said how good SMCC’s offense and defense are, but just how good are their special teams? When was the last time the Falcons had multiple games with multiple kick return TDs?
Chris: This is the Falcons title to lose.
Summerfield
Frank: That one is gonna sting for the Bulldogs. But I have to give a shoutout to Manchester assistant coach Clay Pelham, who I was on staff with at Dundee back in the day.
Chris: I was genuinely happy for the Bulldogs each time they won this season.
Whiteford
Frank: Well, for as much as I wanted to see the Bobcats take a trip to the Friendly Confines of Navarre Field, I’ll take a rubber match between Clinton and SMCC
Chris: I really wanted to see Whiteford play SMCC
Bonus:
Frank: Make sure you listen to Bring The Wood. Also make sure to rate, review, and subscribe.
Chris: It really is a good podcast.
Frank: I wonder if Dr. Shultz (Bedford superintendent) made a wager with his wife (Carlson principal) on the game.
Chris: Not if he was smart.
Frank: Three undefeated teams saw their season end last night. Almont unfortunately was one we had all picked for the Final 4.
Chris: November always sees surprises. I wonder which team will be surprised this week.
Frank: Text from Kanon Dean on Friday Night: Lansing Catholic is the bane of Shiawassee County teams.
Chris: For those of you who don’t know who Kanon is, he is the creator of goosepoop.io the outstanding Michigan High School football website
Frank: I won’t reveal here which game I plan to attend (Hint: it shouldn’t surprise a certain fan base).
Chris: Frank is a Rockstar where ever he goes.
Frank: We are on to Green Bay.
Chris: Lets go grade some cheese!

Last Riverview loss to Trenton was 2008. Good run against the neighbors.
