Summerfield Bulldogs Fall Short Against Manchester

The Summerfield Bulldogs suffered a tough 20-17 loss to Manchester, ending their season with an 8-2 record. Despite a strong performance from Mitchell Gomulinski, who rushed for 157 yards and scored two touchdowns while recording 16 tackles on defense.

Gomulinski’s 19-yard run in the second quarter put Summerfield on the board, and his 5-yard run in the third quarter tied the game. Summerfield’s only points in the fourth quarter came on a 23-yard field goal by Cribbs.

Trace Secor led Summerfield’s passing game, completing 6 of 18 attempts for 100 yards. Hayden Noland and Eli VanHuysen were the top receivers, with 40 and 34 yards, respectively.

Manchester improved to 8-2 and will advance to the district final against Riverview Gabriel Richard (8-1).
